100% I feel like you didn’t even scrimp either. Having expensive imports etc. I also feel like you could have had a bigger meal than nachos for the same price and then not had a KFC later on. Uncle peds can get dangerous for spirits and mixers 😂

But don’t worry I’ve another 4 visits to Benidorm planned this year. With one in a few weeks. Benidorm is exceptional value for money. The people who take the opinion that Benidorm is like Blackpool in the sun are so wrong it’s unbelievable.
The old town is beautiful and the beach is one (if not the) cleanest I’ve ever seen.
Yes the ‘strip’ is a little rough around the edges but you must have an idea as to what you’re in for if you head down there at night. Rough or not, it’s thoroughly enjoyable!

@@Yorkshire_Lee 100% reasonably priced flights flights in to Alicante everyday and cheap accommodation (which again in most cases is surprisingly acceptable). Used to go 5 times a year but work gets in the way of that nowadays :(
Agreed that Benidorm is Nothing like Blackpool, I absolutely hate Blackpool but Benidorm has been my go to place for over 20 years now. Something for everybody and very cheap.

What a great video as usual. Beni usted to be REALLY cheap but nowadays is affordable, nothing to complain about. I think for a better (also cheap) english breakfast you should try "La Muralla" in Calle de Londres (Rincón de Loix) its a spanish bar but they use proper english products and for the price you got a lot more, also the famous Mariano's is always recommendable maybe its more famous for the chicken but breakfast is very nice too. We used to stop at the ambassador over the road from John and Joseph's as kids. It was then called Ray Mar Riviera but ulio who ran John and Joseph's would let me grandma pull pints and serve when they was busy. I need to go back and experience it all again

I love benidorm . Used to live just outside the city.
Times have changed and the days of cheap drinks abroad have gone and when they do have offers on it's usually during the daytime and by the time you've added flights,hotels,day trips and expenses you could of probably gone out 10 days straight in the UK.The drinking culture in general is also different now to what it was over 20 years ago.I went to Greece last year and a pint of their local beer called Mythos was €5 and if i got a pint of Magners or Guinness it was €7.
I like to budget €100 a day for food and ale when staying in apartments but don’t normally spend that much everyday. Beer fatigue then cider fatigue then shorts fatigue. The pink shots should be gaviscon.
Yeah I always do the same on a normal day, 100 euros bang on to be comfortable. Gaviscon just don’t cut it anymore, always remember my Nexium control 😂

That’s the great thing about Benidorm, it’s for all ages.
I was there end of February and had a breakfast at John and Joseph’s it was pretty disgusting even for 2.95, also noticed the drink prices are on the rise in a lot of places, still way cheaper than home though
Yeah wasn’t the best to be fair. Probably wouldn’t go back. But for 2.95 hard to complain too much. Much better places to go for breakfast. Yeah you’re right, still definitely still a lot cheaper than home.

Some good bar value for a day trip

Avoid it altogether.There are so much nicer places in the world to go.Benidorm is the pits, vulgar ignorant people behaving as human beings do when at their lowest intelligence.
It’s starting to get busy for the new summer season. Benidorm is a great place you’ll love it.
Great video. I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world, but Benidorm has a special place in my heart. Went with the lads in 2021, and been back every Sept since. Always stay at the Ambassador, great hotel. Cheap drinks, no pretentious people, just everyone having a good time!

Penny farthin the otherside of the ambassador was the best breaky i had out there hands down
Definitely going to try the Penny Farthing. Few people have mentioned that place for food.
I got home yesterday after a week there, Penny Farthin was my regular breaky. Bit of a wait but worth it. Glad i booked 2day an 2morrow off, bodies achin all over, feel like ive bin hit by a bus. Enjoy 👍🏻

@@Yorkshire_Lee I get that. I've been living in Spain since I left UK 22 years ago. Not been to Benidorm, but have been to Fuengirola & the likes, and it's just too cringe for me.
The new town is definitely not for everyone. The old town is beautiful and very Spanish, with lots of culture. I’m hoping to film more of that in future videos.

You can get food at your hotel in the price of your room, pretty cheap . Ambassador is a cracking hotel 👍🏻

You should try it and stay in the old town area. Much more peaceful down that side of Benidorm.

Soft drinks are usually more expensive than the beer.

It’s music from a website called epidemic sound. Need to be quite careful with the music in bars etc for copyright strikes. So I pay to use from there.
Benidorm is ace, it's worth the 50€ for the live entertainment alone

Once you start going to Sinatra’s, Western saloon, Cafe B etc then your budget isn’t going far.
Been to Benidorm over 50 times and there are hundreds of bars cheaper.
Yorkshire Pride, Wooky Hollow, Duty Free bar to name just a few!!

Went to Albufeira twice last year and we thought we'd give Benidorm a go, just came back and wouldn't return, proper rough. Bars are decently priced during the day but night time is a rip off. Food is cheap yeah but rank! rather pay more for quality! I can see why people like it (old folk and fat men ) just not my cup of tea!!
I’ve been to Albufeira , Cyprus, Majorca, Turkey and none of them hold a candle to Benidorm. There’s something for everyone, not just the rough, fat and old as you so eloquently put 😂
@@Yorkshire_Lee each to there own mate,I also went Cyprus last year in a 5 star resort Benidorm didn’t even come close, you ain’t getting luxury in Benidorm , but I guess some people like Blackpool with sun!
@@doxter2133 it’s definitely not for those seeking 5 star luxury. But some really nice hotels that are quite luxurious , got a couple booked in I’m reviewing. Old town is a total different vibe.

I have a villa near Alicante, I’ve lived in other parts of Spain and the Netherlands I’m from London uk originally👍
I agree, the Costa Blanca is a beautiful place and l’ve also been to many places around the world (New Zealand, USA, Portugal , Cyprus , Poland, Turkey, Egypt among others)

It was my last night mate. So was ready for home. On a normal night would’ve definitely spent more. If I’d have been up for lager would’ve got a lot more drinking estrella or mahou.

Exactly. If you don’t want to get legless and don’t like crowds and loud places then it’s a nightmare. I’m 55 now, used to go to Ibiza in the 90s. I now like peaceful places, nature, culture, trying the local dishes. Glass of wine sat on the balcony or terrace in the evening is now for me.

Benidorm might be cheap but the flight plus hotel packages on expedia are not cheap. Cheapest I could find for flights+hotel for 1 week in August for 1 room 2 travelers was £1500. I think for that price you can go somewhere better.
It’s definitely gone up, especially when doing it separately. I find you get more value with a full package holiday 9/10 these days. At least you get luggage , transfers also included.
It cost me £1600 for 2 people for 7 nights in sidari and their local beer called Mythos was €5 a pint and Guinness on draft was €7 and the price of meals were pretty much the same as the UK.

It's as cheap as you want it to be, you want cheap drinks stay off the seafront and go down the side streets, cheap as chips but we'd rather sit with a fantastic view on the front

Moaning about a 2.95 breakfast is everything wrong with Brits in Spain.
You get what you pay for, as I said in the video. Better places about if you want to spend more , but on a budget it was edible.
