Thanks for the film, the first hotel you have reviewed that I have been to!. I went to the Rio for a fortnight in January 2017 for a fortnight. At that time it was only a two-star but was being refurbished. The deal I had was full-board and the meals were excellent. I won't comment on the single room because they aren't used anymore and now it is 'doubles used for singles". I used to enjoy the walk up to the Rio from the beach, but it is a fair walk. I liked the hotel's location near the tram for exploring the Costa Blanca. One thing I really didn't like (I went with Tui) was the time it took to check in a coach load of holidaymakers - I think it was about an hour and a half. Having looked at your film and those for other four-star hotels I don't think the furnishings in the public areas look four-star standard. Would I go back to the Rio Park again? Yes.

I can imagine the queues when a coachload turn up - it's the downside of booking a package holiday, hey!? The hotel seems well appointed enough though, especially for families who might not want to trek far with smaller children, and certainly gets a lot of repeat guests. I thought the whole place had a nice atmosphere 🤗❤️☀️🇪🇸🌊🌴

The Rio Park was where I stayed on my first foreign holiday as a kid in the 1970s. Can`t remember much about it apart from the shape of the pool which has been replaced.
