Neil is an absolute legend. Songwriter, singer.. but an incredibly gifted and creative guitarist. ❤
Looking forward to the new album
Neil Finn is a music legend and has a wonderful lack of ego. We love him in Australia. Split Enz & Crowded House spent a lot of time here.
His work with Murray from The Flight of the Conchords was hilarious.
Neil's singing voice is Rich & Unique / so many great compositions / Thnx Giles from SoCal
Brilliant interview!!
I like Neil. He's written a lot of songs I don't care for, but he's also written three songs that are as good as anything ever written by anyone.
Plus he's got that voice. - It all counts.
Really interesting interview. Thanks. ✌️👍
I was in High School in the late 70's in a factory town in Michigan and it was cool to be 'New Wave' rather than Disco or Metal Rock... We loved Split Endz & Crowded House, but they never came to Flint.!! My faves were The Pretenders, Violent Femmes & Squeeze and I did see them, because they played Detroit. Of course, Elvis Costello was and always will be the King of New Wave and my #1 musical artist, song writer, and most creative of all..!!
We need spit enz back ..for a tour...be packed out for us oldies
Loved this interview! Neil is brilliant! New subscriber.
Dankeschön
If you close your eyes and listen, you can hear Percy (Tim Mackinerny) from Blackadder interviewing Neil Finn. Purest Green.
Hope hes going one Last Time on Tour with Fleetwood Mac.
They said they're not going to tour anymore now that Christine is gone
Love Will Tear Us Apart got to Number 13 on original release in the UK. In fact it has charted on multiple occasions in both the UK and NZ
He's in FM just like Dave Mason was in FM--barely. At least Dave Mason was on an album (even if it's considered the worst FM album).
Neil has patience here, interviewer seems like a dope with lame questions, next to no questions on his career or music philosophy
