i made this cake yesterday, and I loved it. One change that I would make to the recipe would be to use three eggs rather than four. My cake came out very dense and thick, more like a loaf cake than an actual cake. I like my cake more light and fluffy so i would definitely use three eggs next time!
Great idea! Dolly’s mixes are really versatile. I’ve tried a lot of variations and haven’t messed any up yet 😂 I bet adding sour cream or green yogurt would soften it up too.
Hey, I made the coconut cake into lil cupcakes and it too also calls for four eggs omg the only thing I could taste was egg, next time I use it definitely using 3, it was a good mix but toooooooo eggggggy, I also think the coconut doesn’t have as strong of a flavor as banana so could be the reason i only tasted egg in the coconut mix
FYI you could always take your bananas. Slice some put them in lemon juice or put a lemon juice glaze over it and it will keep them from browning. I just brush the lemon juice over it and it keeps it from browning.
I just made this for Fathers Day! All of your tweaks were spot on! When you said 3 tins instead of 2 and to encapsulate with pudding I said out loud "OH! She knows what she is doing" lol😂❤😊

Sprinkle Fruit Fresh on sliced bananas to avoid browning
Beautiful cake ❤❤❤❤

Ha, thank you! It's all about encapsulating haha!
Great advice.....thank you ❤
Thanks so much for this easy to follow video. Mine turned out GREAT!
Yay!! Thanks for watching!
I have to try this good looking cake!!
We appreciate you!
Looks so good!
OMG this looks to die for! I was just in TN for vacation too, I wish I would have known about the Dolly Parton mix! Yummy!!
We hope you had a fun time here!! Do they sell this mix at your local stores? Check the cake mix section. 🤞
This looks so good! I want to make it so badly
You should! It made us anxious for Summer and cookouts. This would be perfect for a Summertime gathering.
I bought this to make a banana pudding poke cake for my daughter tomorrow. Can I use oil instead of milk for the recipe?
How much of heavy whipping cream do you add to the frosting?
Hi! The recipe on the box calls for 1 cup of heavy cream.
Ok just bought yesterday. What is the taste like?
Neat! If traditional banana pudding and banana flavored cake got married, this would be its baby. We hope you like it!
Why add heavy whipping cream to the already made frosting?
Because the recipe on the box called for it.
Very Gorgeous I Love It....
Thank you Donna!
