I have a tip for those that prefer to use the Cool Whip. I pour a cap full of vanilla extract and fold it into the cool whip. It gives it a homemade taste.

To store bought coke mix, I add milk instead of water, butter instead of oil, 5 eggs, vanilla pudding mix and it makes the best cake ever.
My dad loved banana pudding (me, too). He would have loved this. I’ll have to make this in his memory.

Oh my goodness! The tip for making a cake like a bakery style cake is a KEEPER! I used it on a strawberry cake box mix and it was amazing!!! Big compliments all around from the family and friends! I can’t wait to try this Banana Poke Cake when I have some ripe bananas!

I've actually been making cakes very similar to yours for years. I use melted butter and since I don't always have milk on hand, I often use sour cream instead. 😉
