I took a chance and executed my FIRST livestream last weekend! It was a real genuine surprise to see viewers actually join the livestream and engage with me with live chat. It was a lot of fun and now I’m thinking about what I can do next time to make the viewer experience even better 😀

Excellent tips! Good stuff Dee! We have a "Treasure Chest" in our studio that every in studio guest gets to choose 1 item out of before they leave following our live streams. Like when you went to the dentist ya know as a kid! We then ask them to post a pic on our FB page of their treasure. Unfortunately, no one has posted a pic yet. 🤣 But we keep rolling!

Thank you so much for this! I've been really struggling with engagement despite all of the hard work and sacrifice. It has felt extremely defeating. I just want to help people, however when it feels as though no one wants my help it often makes me question whether or not this is what I'm supposed to be doing. This video helped me not feel so alone and I appreciate all the tips. I have a question: I started my channel to save lives during the pandemic using stress and anxiety management tips that saved my life over the years with my PTSD. One of the ways I wanted to help people was to help them feel as though I was there with them and that they weren't alone. I would make my intros very long without realizing it thinking I was achieving this. However, overtime my engagement & organic growth has not increased. When you don't receive any feedback it's hard to know where you're going wrong. It feels as though I'm grasping at straws. I have the usual thoughts of is it me? Is it length? Is it the topics? Everything I post I'm passionate about. Part of me worries that the intro's have hurt my channel and turned people away who could really use what I have to share. If I shorten my intros, I'm concerned if I jump right into the content, any meaningful connection will be lost given that my contact is about stress and anxiety. Do you have any educated guesses about that? Thank you Dee 👏 Great video!
I apologize for the late reply. 😊 To answer your question, look at your Audience Retention graph inside of UA-cam Studio or the YT Studio App. Look at the drop at the beginning of the video and while your intro is playing. If it’s a large drop, your intro could be the thing that’s causing them to click off. This is something you’ll have to test.
Most of the people watching your videos wont take the advice you’re sharing with them. However, a few people will. Show up for them. Show up for that one person. Change the life of that one person and use the others to help you find that one person. It’s a numbers game, so think of it like a funnel, filtering your audience down to the people you can actually help.

If there is a single reason why I started my channel is because I want to build a wholesome community. It is literally the one thing I care about. It is just the most beautiful thing to create a safe space for others! ✨ Please do make some videos about going live and when we should keep the live video on our channel and when we should not, if you ever get the time!

I really wish the Studio App would make it easier to navigate comments without having to scroll through hundreds of comments to get to the ones missed. And when it comes to taking conversations further, THAT is super difficult without using the notifications which is about the only way UA-cam shows when someone has replied to your reply.
I especially like asking people who I don't recognise, how they discovered my channel, because it not only gives me more insight into how people search and discover, but it's also cool when a new person stumbles upon your channel, and if they were actively looking for something, or just thought your thumbnail was interesting and clicked.
It's been awesome being part of your community all these years and just hanging out. I get a really nice chill relaxed vibe which definitely makes me feel safe and comfortable when hanging out with the #Nimminati

@@DeeNimmin This is going to sound beyond bizarre.... please don't think I'm completely insane.
I should probably mention I am an empath, and sometimes that does not lend itself to normal connections. Anyway, I was kind of all over the place during the first livestream I attended.... outside of the discussion about my channel. I do appreciate the help with my channel, but there was a ton going on otherwise. I also had a bizarrely detailed dream that night, that made no sense to me even though I could explain what lots of details are. Anyway, long story short, I wound up asking someone that does awesome rune readings for a dream interpretation when they posted for readings again, and it still makes about as much sense as someone not liking chocolate to me. Muscle testing says it isn't making sense to me because the interpretation is for you rather than me. Sooo, the reading can be found on TERRY AND AL: Spirit Stalking, and my name is Megan. The reading just posted a few hours ago.... morning of 7/3. Hopefully you find whatever answers you are looking for. If you want to know the details I sent Terry, just message me on IG and I can forward them. And hopefully you will delete this message after the fact. If you want me to stay away from the livestreams, just let me know.

I agree so much on the answer every single comment i'll also say when you do, don't just say "thank you" engage more! I also have been live streaming for 5 weeks and I find it's way more engaging. Way better for watch time too. I love using StreamYard.

I agree with the leaving a meaningful comment tip the most! I talked about that in one of my videos and I really do believe that it’s extremely important to try and respond to every comment with more than “thanks for watching!”
Incredibly important. I try to put aside 30 mins a day for answering comments. It’s more difficult now to have those conversations, but I still do my best. 😃

Hey! As you can see from the incredibly late reply to your comment, I get them when I can. 😁 I answer all my comments from my phone and UA-cam’s YT Studio app update allows us to sort by comments we haven’t replied to yet, which is really helpful. Comments were getting lost previously.
I also try to focus more on the comments where people took the time to write something out vs just saying “thanks.” I heart all comments.

Will get there. Just really getting consistent in past few weeks and am slowly seeing growth. I have had this channel for 2 years but it’s really only 2 months as I am not committed to consistency.
