Pain of Salvation is the most severely and criminally underrated band by both the prog and the metal communties.... they deserve so much more acclaim and Panther is just another gem in their golden discography
New album is great. Great to have new material from the band. Unfuture is powerful as anything and the songs on Panther have so much depth to them. POS are one of my favourite bands. And Daniel is a Genius.
This was a great interview. Always nice to hear some behind the scene stories and help put things in context. I was somewhat skeptical but excited about Panther cause it was different yet kinda Scarsick vibe from the singles but now that I've had a chance to digest the album its wonderful. Great follow up to ITPLOD. I also think the drum production on ITPLOD was perfect. Great compromise from the Road Salt records.
Love his comments on drums. It it is one of the hardest things to get right, I think they sound fantastic on passing light and the new album. Always great to listen to Daniel, he’s awesome!

Oh well in the Prog community they're not so underrated nowadays, but yep they still deserve more attention! Thanks for your comment! /Van

Great interview. I liked the "trust the flow" mindset - no pressure, no hard expectation... love it.
