I know this is really late but when Rhys tried the tears thing with Sasha at the end broke me. Knowing that he cared so much about her that he'd try such a far-fetched method that he knew wasn't gonna work but didn't know what else to do so he risked himself looking like an idiot trying whatever he could to save her. That's the only moment in any video game that I've ever legitimately cried
Rhys is like the best character in the Borderlands games. Not only is he a true hero - selfless and willing to tear himself apart for the greater good - but he's not a stiff while doing it. He's got personality, and he gets excited and giddy and it's the most relatable thing ever!
pdmrn personally I think he's a good character, but the best hast to be tiny Tina. Just...I wish she was in this 😂

Sadly, Zero's voice was bugged in the final release of the game, and was never fixed (I know this is 2 years late, but whatever just felt like mentioning it)
That sucks. I really feel his voice gives him a lot of his character.
This is also a late reply but I also just noticed that Zero's voice in this episode sounds like the Wimoweh trailer voice he had, both sound very feminine.

I really hope there will be some continuation with Tales From the Borderlands. A sequel would be awesome. If they have the same writing team, it will be phenomenal. This story will have a special place in my heart, for sure.

Athena being captured was just how “The Pre-Sequel” started, Athena telling The Vault Hunters how it all went down, she’s back after being saved by an Eridian.
Things I love in this episode:
-Rhys and Fiona caring each other and being like siblings
-Jack talking to Rhys like a son, even when he´s mad at him
-Loaderbot
-The drama
-Rhys hugging Vaughn when he realizes it´s him
-everybody being awkward friends again and hugging each other

Is it me or does this game feel so unappreciated? People are always praising over the wolf among us and it doesn't feel like anyone is really talking about tales from the borderlands. Maybe because most telltale fans don't want to give this a shot because they don't like borderlands at all....? I don't know, but I have to say that this by far feels like a much better experience than the wolf among us. Like if you agree?

No Alot of people just appreciate the wolf among us at the moment cause it is getting a season 2. Check all the user rankings of telltale games from best to worst. Alot of them said borderlands is either 1st or 2nd whereas TWAU is somewhere in the middle. I liked wolf among us and played it first, and tbh I was also sketchy on trying this one too. But the story is so more worth it and Alot of comedy bits, very entertaining and no cliche moments. So tales from the borderlands is by far the best then wolf among us.
Telltale in general is hated due to it being a crappy visual novel that you pay for

I swear Rhys is the most badass and selfless character in all of the Borderlands universe. He is the only person to rid handsome jack from the universe, and he mutilated himself to do it. He has to have at least a mention in borderlands 3.
I agree that was pretty badass. Loader Bot also sacrificed himself, almost dying in the process. Vaughn distracted Vallory so Rhys could escape and was almost killed for it. I still think Angel made the ultimate sacrifice. She turned against her own father (justifiably) to help save the planet, basically committing suicide via Vault Hunter. Characters like them are why I love the Borderlands series so much.
Kailob Moore in my borderlands universe zero killed Jack and the warrior by himself so this vault beast would be child's play to my zero so he is definitely not the most badass, oh and by the way Jack is probably the most selfless character in the borderlands universe cause if you played the pre sequel Jack risks his life thinking he would die to save the player. rhys probably wouldn't even fall into the top five most badass
The cast of Tales has a had a greater impact on the universe than any playable brainless vault hunter, and they never leveled up.

Man.. what a series. When people argue that games shouldn't exist, or they are bad for you, show them telltale. Show them youtubers that not only entertain, but share with us the experience of beautiful games, and game creators, such as this. I am late for this series, but having experienced the wolf among us, the walking dead, and now this.. things like this hold a special place in my heart and mind. Tell tale games are not that great when making choices. 90% of the time you're choices literally do nothing to change the outcome of the story.

I still stayed true to shipping Rhys and Fiona. Also, you wouldn't regret it if you picked Felix. His amends was a welcomed surprise, followed by another if you choose to.

In my own playthrough I think I chose August, Athena and Felix but since he just gives you money, I chose the mystery Vault Hunter... it's indeed worth it to pick Felix lol

The game even teased us by giving the mysterious person the same face and voice as loader bot and no one knew it was him, even after five episodes. This is one of the best twists across all medium, like not even in movies is that unexpected.
toxicfox1137 it’s actually not the same voice. It’s a different actor for “the stranger”. And saying it’s the same face is a stretch. It’s a helmet for a rad suit. But I agree it was unexpected.

This might be 2 years late but, seeing Handsome Jack had his retribution at the end is kinda sad. Villains who always had good intentions but had worse solutions; villains who always stuck in the middle of good or bad is always _makes them the best villains._ You don't have to be a complete evil type of douche, felt bad for Jack's past tbh.
PS. Jack only wants to get rid of the damn pyschos in the planet and save his loved ones. Too bad his ego got him into his friends turning back on him. Now that he felt alone, he had trust issues and so did make him the iconic "Handsome Jack" we know. That's why he wants Rhys, he sees his true self in him, he wanted him to rebuild the Hyperion, rebuild the Pandora to order. I don't know what Jack's background before Hyperion, but seeing from his personality, he suffered through a damn lot.
Yeah Jack, or John before Hyperion, had such an abusive upbringing. It didn't stop even after becoming an adult or conceiving Angel.

i don't think that's likely. i read an interview abt how they were supposed to drop tftb because sale was not great at all. they had to beg to the studio to let them finish the series, they even use skeleton crew (voluntary worker) to work on the rest of the series, which honestly makes me really sad cause i really love this game, and proud for the team for doing such an awesome job even when they're not getting paid. i do hope they reconsider having s2 cause i'd definitely buy and recommend this series to my friends

I watched this series back when you uploaded it in 2016 but didn't watch the final episode because I wanted to wait to watch the big finale at a later time, possibly when I got a chance to play the game myself. I know this is an old video but handsome jack is a misunderstood good guy his intentions were always good. before in the pre - sequel it showed that handsome jack was a hero. Athena even said that in the beginning. and he has been betrayed so many times that he cant trust anyone anymore he's just misunderstood.

This game is gold masterpiece literally one of the greatest storytelling games of all time. I feel so empty that this game is over and season 2 don't come by telltale but I always will remember this game and also amazing soundtracks
