to bad you don't ship to Canada anymore.. i have like 5-6 of your reels, saved up some cash to buy the rods from you as well.. (i'm weird like that) went to order them for this season... and only ship to the US.. welp time to post to kiji and buy from a company that is okay with Canadians. i mean you'll ship to estonia? but fuck Canadians..
Great information, but due to the camera settings. It was giving me a headache due to focus issues. Quick tip, set it no higher than f4.0 or f5.5 for better focus range.
I really like this video, it's amazing how well you describe the baits, and how to fish that specific bait, My only problem is it I live in the south and though our walleye here are not native so they're not going to be attacking that perch bright green colors you still might catch a few walleye casting those colors, but I say to that big fish don't get big by being stupid, what we have down here are the bluegill and shad, I would go with a soft blue and a bright Gray and white for fishing walleye down here in the south. But 99% of what he stated in his video applies
The only walleye I've caught so far was a massive 29 inch monster on a 3/4th oz cleo. And while that was, indeed, incredibly exciting. I'd like to catch some decent eater sized Walleye sometime soon. So here's to hoping these tips work!
Come fish Lake Erie ... early spring a simple bottom bouncer with a worm/minnow/spinner 100% will smash them. Lake Erie has one of the best walleye populations out there.
Braided line is best for Jigging/ & ripping threw heavy folage, because it does not stretch at all, & it's higehr strength pre-diameter. So it's smaller diameter than mono or flourcarbon line. Say for example you get 20Lbs power pro braided wet is about the same diameter as your average 6Lbs mono. Many people say don't use it when Ice fishing because it gather ice on it & then break eventually. ( To be honest I've used in icy conditions new techonogly in coatings in line doesn't care if it's iced up or not. I've had more problems with heat wear flourcarbon breaking than braided or mono ever.)
Hopefully these options work for me, I used to fish at a dam off a lake in Michigan and just weights and a nightcrawler wed pull 15-17inch walleye but moved to cedar rapids and were only getting carp on the dam here. Lol
I was wondering if you had pointers on where or what to look for for a spot that tou might fish on the river. You should come fishing with me give me some pointers

Would braided line be best on open reel ?
No
Braided line is best for Jigging/ & ripping threw heavy folage, because it does not stretch at all, & it's higehr strength pre-diameter. So it's smaller diameter than mono or flourcarbon line. I WISH we could use live bait here in Washington. Its not allowed here. Minnows and leaches make walleye fishing so much easier.
Loved it
New sub great tips

Lando Gonzo thank you!
I'm suprised you mentioned Jigging Raps & such for casting from shore, people try using these in the summer too not jus the cold days.
