What are tips you guys would suggest for locating fall walleyes from shore? I'm a student so I don't have a boat and fish from shore. I've located the crappies and bluegill at my local lake, but can't seem to locate walleyes.
Fish at night. On a lot of lakes, fall walleyes tend to hold in deeper water, especially during the day, so they can be tough to reach from shore. As the nights start to cool down though, they will come up shallow at night to feed. Try deadsticking a 3 to 5 inch live sucker on the bottom starting an hour before sundown and fishing for several hours after dark.
Mr. Tbag try casting minnow pattern stick baits. Get some waders, find a shoreline point with gradual deepening water and fan cast the drop off as the sun goes down. Match the pattern to local forage base.
i couldnt fish with you man. casting over on top the kid after he gets bit. then you make him grab then net while he"s in the middle of his retrieve tryin to catch one when your reelin in your 5th fish. lol
