I received one of these a couple of weeks ago and cigars are so much better now! I was previously using Tupperdor containers with boveda, but the lack of air circulation was killing the flavor. My cigars are incredible now!
@@ohiojake5077 I ordered from Wayfair. I got the model with heating and cooling. Unfortunately they don't seem to carry the one with heating on Wayfair anymore though
Thanks for the review! I just ordered the 48L and it arrives on Saturday. My Newair took a dump after only having it for four years. I hope this one last longer.
I just purchased one. I should have it in a few days. I also bought two extra drawers. I have a lot of singles not so many boxes so I plan to replace two of the shelves and add two more drawers and still have plenty of space at the bottom should I purchase boxes. This looks like a great unit can’t wait to get it in my den and set it up and stash some cigars!
I was hoping to hear a discussion on the humidification mechanism, as well as the heating and cooling. Instead it's a big discussion on using the boxes for singles storage. I really didn't need to hear that. It looks like a nice piece of equipment. I hope to hear about its performance before I make an investment.
Mine is cooling only and I really struggle to keep temp around 70.. going to have to buy a different one that does both unless I can figure how-to add heat also i have noticed with my himi care humidity controller it is way to high.
Thanks for the review After using it for a while, does the smell of the plastic affect the taste and smell of the cigar? As this appeared in ther brands according to other users?
I'd leave it off to allow for the wood to soak up that water and allow forcit to be seasoned properly. You may have to keep after it for a week or two as it regulates and everything acclimates. Cheers 🥃
In my opinion, being able to regulate both is important, but if you don't need the heating element at all, you can get away with the cooling. You'll enjoy it either way! Cheers 🥃
I just picked one up it’s only the cooling and it’s my first ever humidor and I’m having trouble seasoning I put 2 84% boveda packs and I wiped down the shelf’s twice and I’m confused on the temp to humidity.
It can take several days for the unit to acclimate to the conditions. Continue to monitor. Regulating with Boveda packs will really help. As you begin to get cigars in it that will also help with the regulating humidity.
How often are you having to refill the distilled water for this unit? Any experience using the gel beads with glycol, would that work better than distilled water?
Maybe about every 10 days, what I would consider using is a Boveda pack, which will really help you to control the humidity levels in your humidor. Cheers 🥃
It cokes with a water reservoir, or you can control the humidity with Boveda packs, or you can use crystal beads to slowly release moisture in the unit. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Cheers 🥃
I just bought this a couple of weeks ago but if I keep the temp at 70 the humidity goes over 80. I even bought an oasis to regulate the humidity. I emailed customers service and never gotten a reply
Hi John, yes, up getting the unit I'd definitely wipe down the inside of the unit but I wouldn't use tap water, I'd still use distilled water to keep from having any mineral buildup in the unit. Also, if you're considering buying the unit, I have a link in the description of the video. Cheers 🥃
BUYER BEWARE!!! product works well for a while, then it stops!!! both Temp and Humidity go off and your cigars die!! i am now out $560 and the vendor just sends me canned email responses and tells me to go to the reseller!!! Wayfair, which is even worse of a company!!! I am going to Consumer protection Agencies to at least get some of my money back. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS vendor. save your money and spare your cigars
Just checked my user manual and it states “Just cooling and no heating. Adopting Semiconductor Refrigeration Technology (Peltier Effect).” You sir, are fake news
You probably have the cheaper version that doesn’t have heat. There is a cooling only, and a cooling and heat version. Therefore I believe you owe this fine gentleman an apology.

@@jacobjared thanks man, i’ll look around! How is yours holding up so far. I’m so close to buying one.
@@ohiojake5077 I've had mine since Oct and it holds the temperature exactly where I set it. No issues so far.

Enjoy! It's a great unit
Looks like a very nice humidor and looks fairly simple to maintain and regulate! Great video and explanation.
Thanks buddy and yes it is, it's a really nice unit one that you'd probably really like as well. Cheers 🥃

It performs fantastically, I have right now a lot of singles and 3 boxes of cigars, and it's keeping temp and humidification perfectly! Cheers 🥃

Great review. Wonder how well they hold true temperature. The old new air had a problem with it. Something with the calibration was off.
I'll tell you what, this guy isn't fluctuating at all and looks to be holding both temp and humidity extremely well. Cheers 🥃
Mine does great with both , temp and humidity 2:42
Thanks for the review

Not at all in my experience! Hasn't been an issue what so ever! Cheers 🥃
Great review. I've been looking at different ones and will probably end up picking this unit up!
It's a great unit, I think you'll really enjoy this one. I know I'm excited to get it loaded up
Should the unit be on or off during initial seasoning?
I'd leave it off to allow for the wood to soak up that water and allow forcit to be seasoned properly. You may have to keep after it for a week or two as it regulates and everything acclimates. Cheers 🥃

How is the heating unit working on it ?
It's working great, keeping a really nice evening temp all the time
Are you sure about that?
@@joedav02 … I can verify that 100%
Yep, it's heating 100% maybe you have a different one or it's not working for you? Not sure buy mine works perfectly!
where do you put the water?

I just bought this a couple of weeks ago but if I keep the temp at 70 the humidity goes over 80. I even bought an oasis to regulate the humidity. I emailed customers service and never gotten a reply
Remember, the more heat you have, the more it will hold humidity, reduce the amount of heat, and that should help you lower the humidity as well
Can you wipe the inside, the olatic with tap water?
