I haven’t had an Elijah Craig I have liked yet. Got 2 barrel proof store picks from different places. One Total wine & more @ 132 proof that is straight nail polish remover and bitter, the other @ 126 proof that just doesn’t have a lot of flavor to it. Pretty sad when I have to use an $80 bottle as a cocktail mixer just to stomach it. Everyone raves about ECBP, but It’s hard to want to try another bottle after those 2 disappointments.

This is my new favorite --the only bourbon I can drink neat!

Sounds decent but I like their higher proof offerings. I'd rather pay more for the higher proof stuff. But this one might be good on the shelf for friends that are whiskey inexperienced.

Great idea for a series! I'd go with the Rare Breed. I have had better, more consistent experiences with Rare Breed than the RR SiB. Both are readily available in my area. Rare Breed is less expensive here, too.

Lesson learned. Some people pick good one's. Some don't. The distilleries staff pick for Russell's was the best i ever had.

I JUST picked it up from my honey hole. Was a under the counter regulars only buy. They have blown up since that 17 yr i bought a long time ago. Cant wait to crack it. Cheers from orlando!

It's a nice $20ish bottle. I found it to be tasty, but a little thin. I'll keep one around, it's a nice "I want a pour, but don't know what I really want" bourbons. I think that JW Dant BIB is a better bottle at $15..a nice mixer and a better sipper.

I love Russel’s single barrel, it’s always around $80 near me. Wish I could find it at $55. Usually get Rare Breed for the $50 range, lately.

It's just a nice easy sipper. I have some in my glass as we speak. Nice for the price!

Blew off Texas, with its more intense oak impact from the warm climate which requires less aging between 2-5 yrs and the thick oily mid palate which introduces a lot of rich baking spices.

Just went to KY and brought my coffee from home. The same coffee I drink every day tasted SOOOO much better brewed with KY water. Oh, and it does great thins for corn, rye, and barley too.

Bourbon, helping corn farmers get value added for their grain production, and getting shy people laid. Facilitated by used oak wine barrels coming up the Mississippi River from New Orleans, and going back down the river to that large, easily available market. Smart deal farmers!

I was lucky enough to win a bottle in the draw. I just picked it up from my USA friend ( I am from Winnipeg). Had a sip last night...incredible. A bottle that will be sparingly sipped indeed! If anyone wants to try another incredible, maybe at this bottle's level, google Great Plains Craft Spirits out of Calgary. They have two incredible offerings that compare to this bottle for sheer magnificence. Here's to Canadian whiskey!

Both have great flavor molecules! I can’t find the single barrel in my area and I think Rare Breed is one of the best value high proof bourbons.

I agree I love what Still Austin is doing and both the master blender Nancy and Master Distiller are doing some fun things and together creating magic. It is a Texas whiskey for the masses and some of the fun stuff they have coming out soon has me excited. Great video thanks for sharing. Cheers
