Lol right on ! Funny thing, I was going down the rabbit hole on cigar videos over the weekend when I ran across a cigar guy who was having 75 historic window frames re-painted on his house, which is 4 stories tall. He was out in front with a box pressed cigar. The guys on the ladders (not exactly osha) - yikes! Then I realized - he’s a neighbor. 🤣 Ya, I don’t get out much because it’s winter at Lake StClair - small world. 😶🌫️ Love Kirby’s channel. Enjoy !
I'm just a blue collar commercial construction worker that will probably never experience 3 piece suits and $1k lighters but ill sure enviously soak up these videos! Very relaxing in a mysterious way and I get to watch other smoke and talk about cigars in the moments I can't! I appreciate the channel!
You don't always need to be rich to have nice things... You just have to straighten your priorities. Cut other things out of your life so you can have something else. Don't buy take away coffees for example save that money and have 1 cigar a week, or don't go on a 4000 dollar holiday instead go local and put that money towards the lighter you've always wanted.. don't have 5 children, 1 or 2 is enough... obviously there's certain things that are unfortunately priced for the wealthy but hey, experience it now you'll be dead one day.
@Sam Harrison its definitely not that important to me. I was just making a comment. If I had ridiculous expendable income then sure. But I'd rather smoke 10 cigars a week with a $100 lighter than smoke 1 a week with a $2000 lighter. So yes, priorities. Lol. Cheers!
@Ludovico Fusco well, I'd say people that have the expendable income buy whatever they want. I mean, if you can buy plenty of cigars and still afford the high priced trinkets then go for it. Cigar culture comes with many different forms of enjoyment and the cigar tools (cutters, lighters, humidors, etc) are all part of the fun. But yes, I agree, the cigars should be priority #1 obviously.
The plastic cigar tubes are great for travel as well. I learned that watching one of your previous videos when you were packing for the Caribbean I believe. Another great video Kirby!
Kirby lovely video as always! I think we are in need of another facility / office tour, and more importantly a Live Stream Q&A or Valentimes Day special Strea
Really love the le grande. I wish there were more options for dual flame. I love a good soft flame but find myself using torch when I'm outside. I don't like carrying two types of lighters so the le grande is a great option
I just managed to get a gold Le Grand Cling with help from St. Dupont’s excellent support staff, and it is perfection. I’m sure I’ll be picking up more accessories from your site in the future.
It’s all about show with this guy , he talks about craftsmanship in cuban cigar making as if other countries make machine mades or something? remember when he came on whisky tribe and couldn’t answer any questions about cigars and how to this day still gets every cigar size name wrong and don’t get me started on the pronunciations , every time he said “leS fineS lameS” I cringed.
@@omidnamadi9262 He also seems to forget that tons of new world cigar brands have their roots in Cuba and were merely forced to relocate after revolution.
I was gifted that knife last year for my birthday. And to my surprise it was very sharp, easily surpassing some of my best cutters. It’s part of my urban EDC, where I don’t need an extensive pocket knife or multi tool. And just about everything DuPont makes is great. Have some of their lighters and almost bought the cling several times, but I just couldn’t explain to myself why I need such an expensive lighter haha.
I wouldn't be mad at a second channel that was only cigar related. I dont have any plans to stop looking homeless but i cant get enough of classy people like Kirby, Eddie, and Nick talking and smoking.
Mr. Allison I can't express how much I enjoy your videos enjoying cigars and can't help but wonder, have you ever tried smoking a pipe? I first got interested in cigars but find I enjoy smoking my pipes a little bit more. The ritual of properly packing just like the ritual of cutting and lighting and by far the enjoyment of slowing down and enjoying the moment, sometimes alone sometimes among friends.
Although irrelevant to this video, my comment hopefully is relevant to this channel: Have you ever watched the English show Jeeves and Wooster, starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie? It's a 1980's show based on a 1920's book series. Wonderful 1920's men's fashion and quality lifestyle details (silver platters, vintage cars, gentleman's clubs, London flats, country estates, etc). It's also hilarious. Cheers
My humidor is fairly cold, occasionally reaching as low as 16 degrees celcius. This because I cool it by putting an ice pack on top of it, with a small towel in between, folded 2 times (4 layers of cloth), which I replace every 12 hours. This keeps the temperature between 16 and 20 degrees at all times (sometimes reaching close to 21 degrees), but it varies during those 12 hours obviously. Will this slow the aging process by alot or should it be fine in this temperature range? Humidity also varies but stays between 65 and 69 percent at all times. Thanks.
Speaking of travelling with cigar cutters in your briefcase, does TSA ever give you any grief about bringing them on a plane in your carry-on? I've researched this a bit and it seems that it's pretty much up to the discretion of each individual TSA officer that goes through the bags.
I think it's funny that you are well spoken and enunciate excellent, but the southern drawl still comes out with some words like lighter 😂👍🏻👍🏻 good video.
🤔Beats biting the end off my Rocky Patel Edge ($8), lighting it with a farmer's match while sipping on a vintage Pabst Blue Ribbon an upside-down hubcap ashtray
Once upon a time, there was a man named Kirby Allison who loved all things sartorial. He had a UA-cam channel where he preached the importance of quality, craftsmanship and tradition. But one day, he decided to spice things up and made a video about "The Art of Making a Sandwich." He went on and on about the importance of using only the finest ingredients, carefully crafting each layer, and the tradition of sandwich making passed down from generation to generation. The video went viral and Kirby became known as the "Sandwich Sage" among his followers. But little did they know, he had a secret sandwich recipe that he kept closely guarded - a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a layer of Cheetos in the middle. It was the ultimate combination of quality, craftsmanship and tradition.
Smoked my first cigar today at the age of 29. All of a sudden I feel the urge to ditch my chavvy clothes, get a tailored suit, ditch my car for a penny farthing, grow a moustache and become a true gentleman.
I tried a cigar for the first time last week - largely because I see a lot of well-groomed, masculine men on social media smoke cigars. It was an Ashton Classic, cut and lit by the cigar lounge attendant. I was instructed to slowly puff once or so per minute. While the smoke was mildly enjoyable, the tobacco left a very unpleasant taste and smell in my mouth for over 24 hours. As cool as it looks, I'm just really not a fan of how unhygienic it made my mouth feel. Any recommendations?
@@monochromebluess Lol! I wish, being the son of a dentist I brush 3x day, floss 2x day, and use a metal tongue scraper 2x day. I still tasted it well into the next day :(

The real aficionados spend their money to buy cigars, not a 1000 € lighter or a 200€ knife that don't even work that well....

Excellent video, Kirby! Loved the suggestions!
For the past few years I've been really into cigars and the accessories that you need and use with cigars
This was fantastic Kirby and I can't wait to collect every single one of the accessories you have shown!
you're right
I love the ashtray with the base, and of course the El Casco cutters. Great gift ideas for a loved one (hint hint).

I love these videos. I have enjoyed every product I have purchased from Kirby Allison.
Nice! Do you like pipes too? Pipe tobacco blends are also so complex and fun to explore.
Great stuff, very informative
LOL Those tubes i using at for my drilling machine 😂 To hold all the drill bits
Once again, another amazing video from our man.
I reaaaaallly wish Kirby would start diving into some new world cigars. There are so many good cigars that he is sleeping on.

Exactly, Tobacco is grown all over the world and you're really missing out on some interesting blends if you're only smoking Cubans and Davidoff.

The Dupont cutter/stand is great! I own two of them, one gold and one chrome. they're nice and heavy.
Thank's for the very interesting videos. You look so classy.

The cigar knife would be nice to have while out in the field on a hunting trip, the best of two worlds for the outdoorsman.

Are there any compact, slim, in your pocket ashtrays for cigars? This would round out everything for traveling on the move cigar smokers.
Kirby how do you find a lapel cutter? I've seen Eddie and Edward use when they cut there cigars.
More cigar videos Kirby , please 🙏🏻
Can the cigar stand be used to smoke, if there is just an inch of the cigar remaining and if the cigar is hot to hold?
No... but they do make "cigar picks" for that.

Always handy to have what I understand is called a 'Horsehoe Nail' to unclog a cigar.
I'm with you brother, I will never justify wasting money like that when $20 can buy u just as good product and last just as long
Can you please do a video series showing these cutters in use
When will be going to davidoff again I look forward to the great conversation and warm atmosphere
I can say without any doubt that this man has never smoked a stix in his life!
I recently smoked a $200 cigar and it was in my top 3 worse. The sweet spot for me is $8-20
What's the best way to get a draw on a hard to draw and keep lit cigar.?
need more cigar asmr

Appreciate it Sir . Cheers
do you have an indication of when the square ashtray will be back in stock again? thanks
Unfortunately, those are gone forever…
“All of these” came out sounding like “olive these” when you were talking about the olive wood pocket knife cutter. Intentional pun?😂
You should do a video with Max from Holt, he's always impeccably dressed.
Kirby, you drink Starbucks? I thought you certainly were brewing your own espresso in that marvelous machine you showed!
I just purchased the st Dupont cutter stand.
I really need to find myself a better class of friends. 😂
What is the largest ring gadget that the st dupont will accommodate
I think it’s 56
My kids love your videos, Kirby. Gonna get them smoking ASAP.
Heu Kirby. Seeing the scar on your hand makes me realize that you have a cat like mine, who likes to jump up on me unannounced.
Kirby what mill made that cloth and what the ID number
How about a smoking jacket /robe.? Seems like the ash always gets on my wardrobe
Quality craftsmanship and tradition.... goes to Starbucks for coffee 🤣
Right wtf 😂
I've always preferred a cigar punch to cutting it.

What is the country of manufacture of these items

Nice lighters but seems they would have such a small capacity for fluid. You’d have to refill them everyday or so.
Please if you can go and have a rare with Eddie and Edward.❤️❤️

When it comes to ashtrays, you're honestly better off buying one ore owned/vintage one. There are shed loads of them available for basically nothing.
