One thing I've learned about cooking meat in a crock pot is that you don't need that much liquid. The meat will create a lot of liquid without adding any broth and will be much more flavorful. I cook pork butt with just a rub and no broth whatsoever, and it comes out great.

Wash the meat? That’s ineffective & only spreads bacteria around. No one recommends doing that anymore.

Taco seasoning has salt and that'll flavor the meat well and since I'm sure she's having taco salad with it that is a great choice..

Everyone has something negative to say. I'm going to try it with a few minor changes. Using a chuck or bottom roast and low sodium beef broth. Then I'll decide how it taste.

I always season and sear my meat before putting it in the crackpot or pressure cooker. You can dumb as much seasoning on top it doesn't stick to or penetrate the meat.

This is the perfect combination for your meat for tacos or enchiladas you don't have to leave the seeds in the jalapenos or use the crushed peppers, you can use any meat you prefer.. but all this combo ingredients are what you use. Try it before you start saying no! she is giving you options ...but the liquid is what you use..

Always add some molasses which is also found in basting sauces, it thickens and darkens the meat with a nice sweet sticky taste.
