👍
You'll never see 18% of the moon
That’s way better than any recent Motley! Mick has his magic
love it..!! 💥🤘🏼🔥❤️🔥🔥🤘🏼 Mick Mars is KING! 💯
Not to mention? Much better than any one hit wonder band..like?.idk?.THE Darkness ? 😊I did love this pod? But? This? Surely take away some a that man. Brilliant song here
Agreed.
Mick deserves his moment!
ua-cam.com/video/onhdroC-PM0/v-deo.html
To each his own I suppose. For me, this is a killer tune. Jacob Bunton's vocals are great, Ray Luzier is always solid on the drums, and Mick's tone is entirely unique. I'll admit I was disappointed that the solo was so short. I was hoping to hear him tear it up and he didn't. That notwithstanding, I was really impressed with how heavy and melodic Mick's first solo release is and can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
Ray luzier such a killer drummer!!
It's funny...for a one hit wonder band frontman to call this?...THIS? 'bad'.. or 'not good'?.That's just nuts. And..what was Darkness's last ..well? Anything of note? Holding my breath😊
@@SimplyStopMotionActionFigureFu why is it nuts? i guess only you are allowed to have an opinion? the song really isnt anything special. i heard it once and wont have to worry about hearing it anywhere again.
@@tail66get'em😂
@@SimplyStopMotionActionFigureFuso going by that logic that means you can't express your opinion on anything including Justin Hawkins since you have no hits at all? (and if you do then what are they? I'll wait.) plus there's been a few hits, many successful tours and this UA-cam channel literally has hundreds of thousands of subscribers but go off anyway..
The idea that people like you who think someone has to have accomplished a set minimum of prerequisites to allow them the right to share an opinion is absolutely absurd and extremely backwards beyond measure.
Justin reaching for the guitar and David Hasselhoff attacking him had me in tears😂
I didn't even see the Hoff at first. Would be an interesting fight though.
😂
@@cherylhurst7093 Would it?!
@@cherylhurst7093 Definitely! Who would win is a totally open question 🙂
that has got to be clipped and put into a short
Mick’s tone is back to being crushing
Mick Mars - guitar
Jacob Bunton - lead vocals
Chris Collier - bass, mixing engineer, mastering engineer
Ray Luzier - drums
Brion Gamboa - lead vocals
Paul Taylor - keyboards
Michael Wagener - producer
🤔 wait...
So which one is "lead vocals"?
The one that says lead vocals :) (Blame Wiki...I copied and pasted)@@warthogA10
@@warthogA10it is Jacob for sure.
Paul Taylor of Winger?
Ray not with korn anymore?
Definitely an awesome song! Team mick for sure here!!
Glad Mick is still giving it a go.
I love this single.
I haven’t enjoyed Motley Crue in a LONG LONG time. I don’t even bother to revisit the old stuff.
This single rips and Crues best talent is now free
TEAM MICK!
Agree! One thing Mick said in a recent interview. Some of his fans will love it. Others might hate it. But at least they'll know it's 100% him.
I love it. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album
I actually liked Saints of Los Angeles.
@@HelloImNotJohnnyCashI'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed it. I felt pretty alone in that one.
Oh no!😱 Hoff attack!!!😂😂😂
Karma’s sneak attack!
Hoff finally got his revenge for that time Jussy punched him in the groin, haha!
@@sah-win 🤣 He waited patiently for the best moment when he wasn't on the alert🤣...
OK, now I need to rewatch that video😉
He could stand for it no longer
That made me laugh out loud 🍻
Sounds way better than MC newer music. I applaud him for branching out with his musical talents.
Well, I enjoyed the treatise on proper air drum set layout
It is a good song. The album should be good also. ROCK ON Mick Mars.
It’s a great song! What’s not to like?
He is a suck up, He also clams Alx rose is still good live 🤣🤣🤣
@@knightofniini7772someone compared axl rose covering black hole sun to Adam Sandler doing an impression and it hasn't left my head in days.
The song?
The track is shockingly good! I was expecting a more Rolling Stones, bluesy track, but this track is killer.
Personally I'm not a fan of this sound,
but that doesn't matter or hold any weight,
everyone has their own tastes.
I'm just glad that he's free to do whatever he wants now,
and that he's keeping at it, regardless of the difficulties and challenges he's dealing with.
Good in him 👍
481,000!!!…..rides keeps on growing 🎉🎉🎉
That’s like four Wembleys
From a recent interview I just seen of Mick I get the feeling he’s warming up. He’s talks about making music that’s very different to what he’s used to releasing but wanted release something familiar first. I know the feeling. I dig this tune but I recon a Mars Masterpiece is in the works
I thoroughly enjoyed the aside about proper air drum setups. 🤣
I remember when Gene Hoglan said he just beat the crap out of his pillows with his drumsticks. Now he’s “the atomic clock” of drummers.
Mick needs to get back together with Corabi and with a producer like, Dave Cobb....
Love this song. It's been playing in my head nonstop since the drop. Motlet can go pound salt. They stumbled around like 3 blind drugged out mice. But mick always ket it going. The north star of Motley fixed constant dependable. Micks the real talent in Motley. Dont expect it to sound like Motley. Too many people nay saying whining about that. Predisposed bias. New sound new life is always better than keep doing the same old. Always strive to reinvent yourself. Micks purpose here. Purpose well served. #NOMICKNOMOTLEY. The past has passed. The future beckons. .when growing stops living ceases.
It’s a catchy riff, but definitely wanted to hear a longer more kick ass solo! However with no new Crue out, this is welcome!
yeah agree. needed a longer solo and maybe the distorted vocals seem a bit dated. love the riff though. Shame none of the songs that he did with Corabi made the album
...yes, would rather hear Corabi vocals, anything other than (Vince screech) whoever sang this song is much more likable to these ole ears! YMMV@@steel_horse7570
I think he did it on purpose. He did not want to use his guitar skills but just do something the band wasn’t doin’ anymore (just touring for goddamn money): writing a song…a good one? Meh, maybe not..but the aim was this imho.
Good in you Mick for coming up with something fresh yet original unlike Motley who seem to be stuck in the past playing the same ol' situation over and over again. I really enjoyed the song and looking forward for more.
Justin Fucking Hawkins Rides Againnnnn!!! 🎸🎶🎶🎶
Nuno's spoiled us. That's the problem.
I KNOW we told you to move that guitar 🎸 stand closer to you!😂😂😂😂😂
I really enjoyed this song I wasn’t expecting it to be so good it reminded me a bit of Alice and chains and Ozzy
Please excuse the typo I know it’s Alice in chains just tired after work and brain isn’t functioning
It reminded me of Jerry Cantrell solo stuff right away as well.
@ImSoFake666 Dude leave her alone or you're getting reported
@@mikedavis8008 do you wish to tattletale?
User-tq3er4du6b yes! That’s actually a pretty good description. I knew it reminded me of something
love the solo....and his tone is 🔥
Agree, that "cocked-wah" tone is amazing. Mick is sounding pretty hot!
Love Mick Mars ❤❤ definitely want to buy the Lp. If they make one
Good day to you Justin... buddy it's just - 13 days to Milan gig... i really cant wait to see you back for the 4th time... and it will be 20 years since your debut album... as Dan says... come and enjoy! 😂 see you agaiiiiiiinnnn sooooon!
Awesome work..not many his age would even try this!
Love the channel brother.
😎
Catchy tune. I like it. Good job Mick
Love the air-drum lessons, thanks for that, sir! 🤣💝
I think the chorus is brilliantly haunting. Awesome chord progression. Sticks. I like it a lot!
LOVE IT..!! 💥🤘🏼🔥❤️🔥🔥🤘🏼 Mick Mars is KING! 💯
I lolled at the opener, Hasselhoff giving you a Glasgow kiss 😆
Thank you Mr H, you always cheer me up. ⭐️
Good analyse Justin, I really love the song, it's direct and stuck in my head.
Good analysis*** not good analyze.
Hawkins v Hoff: TEAM HAWKINS. Mars v Motley: TEAM MARS.
It’s true what they say…”Don’t mess with the Hoff”
"The Knight Rider strikes again....agaaiiin"
Funnily enough I had a dream that Motley Crue were on stage in concert. There was 6 people there. The band were just wandering the stage clearly just chatting to others on stage. Tommy Lee was putting sausages on his shoulders and then ripped his neck out. 👀
But anyhow. Mick good on you for getting back out there. Much respect.
😂😂😂 wish I had dreams like that!!!
@@mindtorquemusic Tommy walked over to the front of the stage mid song and threw his drumsticks out. The drums were still playing 😂😂
@@Dandiesonthinice 🤣🤣
@@DandiesonthiniceWell apparently they use drum tracks so him throwing his drumsticks while the drums are still playing makes sense.
Justin I noticed all the Eric Stoltz as Rocky Dennis drawings on the wall, I am a big fan of that movie too
ray kicks ass on this tune, he makes every song he plays on that much better
I don’t get it either 🤷🏻♀️ Definitely “meh”.
Yes, the Moon is tidally locked to the Earth, hence why you only see one side of it. Yes, Mars does rotate, so we can see both sides of it. Though maybe he meant the other side of himself? The non-Mötley Crüe side of Mick Mars? 🤔
Other than insomnia, there’s nothing wrong with you Jus! You’re funny when you’re sleep deprived but please do get some rest 🥰
I feel like the non mötley crüe side might involve putting the bins out...a bit like Mr Hetfield. 😂
The solo guitar has that ultra raw flangery sound Mötley Crüe had on the first album. I think that was the point of it. Love it.
I thought the same. Not a fan of the song but loved that throw back Mars solo sound
Masterclass in air-drumming setup right there... and yup I got the STP vibes almost immediately. Not a bad thing per se.
🤣 ..your reaction to the Hoff muscling in! You are adooorable Justin
Really enjoyed it
I laughed so much when you said “setting up your air drums” gold!😂
Sounds exactly like a solo album of a guitarist that just left his band. Reminds me of Adrian Smiths "Psycho Motel". Fresh sound but somehow dated to when they lost contact to popular music (which is no accusation).
I agree solo should’ve been longer!
I like it. Unapologetic and fairly catchy. A lot better than anything Crûe of later years - save perhaps Saints of LA....
The chorus chord progression at around 4.20 reminded me of the melodic piece in Hi Ren
0:30 - Smoothest intro ever...
Recorded on the 31st of .... Hofftober.
That bit at the beginning had me laughing pretty hard.
Same feeling I got first time I listen to it now when I heard it again it growed on me. so I think it will become a cool songwith time. be safe and skilful. Pinge
Yes mr hawkins. The moon is whats called tidally locked.
Plus it librates slightly.
I have a request for comments day, if I may. Please can you tell us about those remarkable lace up trousers in the Christmas Time video. Wherever did you get them and do you still have them? They don't look comfortable!
Oh, the more-lacing-than-pants-pants!! I LOVE those! In my Top 5, for sure 🙂 They were so inspiring, I had to take screenshots from the video for a future possible project. I'm too old (and.... you know... not Justin) to wear stuff like that, but I still WANT a pair of pants like that 😀 1985 me would have just died for a pair of pants like that.
@@MariaFrancesca 2004 me bought a pair of very tight, lime green lace up jeans, all because of that video. They had a lot more fabric, but I still couldn't sit down in them. 😂
@@ZuzuTheLemon Oh the times when you would easily sacrifice comfort to be fabulous 😀I had a pair of black and white striped pants in 1987 that were so tight the crotch ripped when I was out on town, luckily, I had a longer top on.
No one does scandalous-lack-of-fabric like Justin 🙂
@@MariaFrancesca this is true! 😄
"Double No No equals Yes Yes" had me dying 😂
Did not expect the Hoffman cutout....lol!!
man i love this New Mick Mars song, really cool.
Jacob sounds great as does Mick! Happy for him.
Just want to comment on the grado headphones, awesome !!
Never been a Crue fan, but this is a pretty solid hard rock tune.
It's gonna be a big hit, hopefully the rest of the album, cd , download sound as good. I lived through the album, CD ages i don;t know what they're called now a days :-)
My first time hearing it .its brilliant 👍.
I love that Scott Walker song!!!
That chorus is quite killer. Well done.
Chorus sounds like emo
Nothing wrong with that. Emo has a special place in many a metal listeners hearts.@@stephanea5364
😂😂😂 love the intro!!
You're right, the Moon is tidally locked to the Earth, so we always see the same bit. But there is no Dark Side of the Moon (except in my record collection), only the Far Side of the Moon.
05:04 another lol.
What a star ⭐️
Mick Mars IS Motley Crue.
The song is crazy good!!! What a great sound!!!
hahaha XD a lil Hasselhoff kiss... laughed way too hard! 🤣🤣🤣
Mars is the man🍻🍻🍻
I think the only criticism I have of this song is that the guitar solo wasn't long enough. And honestly, that's quite a comment to Mick. I do know that he doesn't like anything that he considers to be "filler" so perhaps he thought that about his own solo? I hope not. He delivers really good hard rockin' riffs on the guitar and while the least charismatic figure in Motley Crue it is increasingly clear that he was the most productive member in terms of creating their songs and sound.
love the Liam impression
I love it! Mick Mars🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
best intro theme ever
I thought was gonna be an instrumental album.. bit of red dragon cartel vibes still really good 🎯⭕️🥇💫
TEACH ME
Edit: correct - the moon's core settled with the bulk of its mass yearning-for or being pulled toward earth, and its rotation on itself matches its 28-day orbit. "The dark side of the moon" is a misleading name for the side that we don't see, though, because it's not always dark.
"Tidally locked" was the term Justin was looking for.
I prefer my crash and ride to be up higher when I set up my air drums. But you do you mate 😁
I think during the solo you are looking for a certain way to describe the tone. I think it's considered to have, "scooped midst". I hear it too
Good for you. I like it a lot
A Scott Walker shout-out? Nice!
Any tipis on air guitar? I think I've been holding mine too low and it's affected my non-playing.
I rather like the song it sounds better after a first listening... that's good sign IMHO. I am buying Mick's album preorder. :)
I think Justin missed the point of the assignment... The first single isn't supposed to satisfy you. I can't wait to hear the other songs on the album, this one is good enough to make me want more... I hope it makes you want more after hearing it a couple times as well. 👍
I didnt care for several aspects of this song but a lot of it is the singing and the overall high pitched sound that is throughout it (best way I can put)
Gotta get an air gong for my air drums!
Man would love to hear you review Fever Ray Kandy please.
Best intro ever
🤪🤪intro , loved it.
As much as I love your enthusiasm for all weird and delightful things it's also refreshing to hear you criticise things from time to time! You clearly enjoyed bits of it, but it was good to hear you say "eh, it didn't live up to the hype"!
Always struggled with setting up my air drums, often forget where i put them,so thanks for that 👌
Song sounded a bit PCABS,but not as good.
Mick, well done ... well played ... "Double NO NO" ... LOL, Justin, fan of yours as well, I always appreciate your views and insights.
MICK, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!!
