Did you even actually watch this? Sad to say but he did not play a lick of guitar in this video or any of the others they have released lately. Video is 5:46 long and Glenn had a total of 19 seconds of screen time and 3 of those seconds were him walking in the door, and his right hand is purposefully hidden throughout and he only touched the strings 5 times to "chug-chug-chug-chug-chug" the E string , and the rest was very quick cuts of his left hand just holding the neck and not playing at all.

When this sing first started I thought it was going to have a similar vibe to Iron Maiden’s “The Mercenary” because of the similar open string arpeggios and the main guitar riff having a similar melody to Bruce Dickinsons vocals of “Show them no fear, show them no pain.”
Then when the verse began and the music strips down and I thought “Wow! Thats so reminiscent of something off Rocka Rolla or Sad Wings Of Destiny”.
Then the arrangement of the intro riff supporting the chorus vocals and guitar solo brings the whole thing to resolve into a moment of enlightenment for the listener.
    Song writing at its finest.
I saw Judas Priest live in Birmingham a few weeks ago and this song is amazing live.

I saw Judas Priest in 1975 just about the time that their first album”Rocka Rolla” came out. They were an unknown band and only about 50 people turned up so we all stood between the front row seats and the stage. They were very loud and I was blown away by what I was seeing and hearing. To this day I still have a soft spot for them despite metal not being my preferred genre of music. The guitarists were great at doing that dual guitar thing and Rob Halford is just a legend! I was fortunate to see the BRITISH STEEL anniversary tour back in 09.
I was at band practice, all the other guys in the band were quite a bit younger than me, the guitarist says, " Anyone here like Judas Priest? My sister gave me tickets, but I dont really know them..."
    Well now.
Lets say we go for a ride.
I grew up on Priest and Maiden and Ozzy and the GODS of the 80's.
    They were outstanding.
Prior to that show, the most professional " shit together" synchronized, powerhouse heavy metal performance I had ever witnessed was SLAYER in concert.
SLAYER made no bones about the influence and impact of PRIEST on their whole existence, I witnessed the truth of this.

I have been a Priest fan forever and Rob H is probably my favorite Metal singer. The production on the new stuff is fantastic (modern, fresh and not dated at all) and it is amazing that Rob H can still hit the notes. I agree the Drum sound is fat and authentic. I am pleased to see Glen Tipton still playing, as last I heard, he had Parkinson's disease. Of interest, the 2nd guitarist is the wonderful Richie Faulkner who is married to George Lynch's daughter ("Dokken"). Family Xmas jams must be quite something. Plush chick toy on its first day is already one of the best things ever to appear live on JHRA. Could add a JHRA branded plush chick toy to the online store, it would sell very, very well. I think "Crown of Horns" is likely a lyrical play on words of "Crown of Thorns". Judas Priest UK & Ireland tour is less than a month away. Will be intriguing to hear the invincible setlist.

Halford is not only a legend but also a model human being. Glad to see JP still leading the pack for quality metal.

Did you even actually watch this? Sad to say but he did not play a lick of guitar in this video or any of the others they have released lately. Video is 5:46 long and Glenn had a total of 19 seconds of screen time and 3 of those seconds were him walking in the door, and his right hand is purposefully hidden throughout, and he only touched the strings 5 times to "chug-chug-chug-chug-chug" the E string , and the rest was very quick cuts of his left hand just holding the neck and not playing at all.

The question is not “Should I get a Flying V?” but more like “Why didn’t I get one years ago?” Do it now!

I saw Priest in 1988 in New Haven Connecticut on the Turbo Tour and it was the loudest show I'd ever been to including Motorhead lol Theres only 2 singers from the 70's and 80's that have kept their voices: Rob Halford and King Diamond That opening riff is classic Priest I'm a drummer of 41 yrs and Scott is a monster on the drums As far as the kicks sounding clicky in certain metal it has to do with the types of beaters they use I took a cue from the goat Vinnie Paul and glued a quarter to my kick drum head and used a wooden beater head for that thwack that cuts right thru a mix or live gig Great tune looking forward to a new album 🧐🤘✌️

Also, as for the excellent, iconic Judas Priest, the album is excellent! And , as you so accurately ( I think) stated at the end, at this point, JP have nothing more to prove, and CAN, AND DO, play/ sing however they want, and we love and respect them all the more for it, yes? That being said, I am so happily SHOCKED at how they’ve managed, after ALL THESE YEARS, to make such a kick ASS ALBUM at this stage in their careers! Simply BRILLIANT. Take care, Justin, and well played!

Good sir, you pointed out a part at the beginning ( at 3:54 ) and the chord progession sound almost identical to "Two Tickets to Paradise" by Eddie Money. It was like.. whoa that's cool. Two toally different genres but damn that's awesome. Love your videos. Do more metal! Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth, Papa Emeritus from Ghost (he's hilarious) etc. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Sometimes the unique range of an artist doesn't fit a song. Sometimes it just seems more of a forced gimmick. I mean, come on! You're the lead singer of the darkness! Your voice is amazing in all tones, the high octive range is awesome...... Sometimes, not all the time. ❤
