Ya know what, though? He saw these guys that wanted to make it, but that needed the swift boot of REALITY slammed up their hineys! He WANTED them to make it, and flat out TOLD them:"Either we go full-bore on this thing, and you guys do your best, or else, DON'T WASTE MY TIME...OR YOURS, EITHER"!!! He was MOST DEFINITELY a mood, and I totally agree with you on that, 100%. However, he saw that these guys had potential...or he'd have NEVER wasted his time with them!

Considering how involved MC was with production of the film, I’m surprised Mars was “okay” with this portrayal of him.
At the time the band formed, Mars had already hit thirty, had chronic pain, and was paying child support.
It's entirely possible he was grumpier back than than he is now.

For those who don't know 2:58 is from a Guns n Roses concert in1991. Axel Rose (lead singer)was mad because someone in the crowd had a camera who was recording and they were not supposed to. He asked security to take the camera and they didn't, and well...y'all know the rest haha

It wouldn't surprise me if Mick was still treating them like children - even after all those years, even after they'd gotten the rock 'n roll stupid out of their systems and matured a bit. At the beginning they laughed it off and put up with it because he was usually right, but after some decades, it wasn't funny any more. They'd gotten their shit together, too. And even if they'd had to get it together the hard way - by running head-on into the consequences of NOT having it together - they still had it together more than they did to begin with.

Mick is my literally me character. Im 26, married with kids, and the oldest member of my friend group (the rest of the guys are between 19-24). The number of times I've had to babysit those chuckle heads whenever we hit the bars or went out partying is insane. But I love those guys like my own brothers and would die for every last one of them.

I have scoliosis which since I’ve gotten older has started to give me quite a bit of pain added to the fact that I had a physically abusive relationship and my partner deliberately concentrated on damaging my spine and pelvis so I can empathize with Mick but I can rest my back when it’s bad I don’t have to get up on stage and play guitar as for not joining in fun and games pain makes you very irritable and you view the world from a totally different perspective but I think Mick had the integrity and honesty not to indulge in groupie behaviour pain or no pain.He had a girlfriend but he didn’t tell anybody about her not even the band he used smile quietly into his beer and think about her he wanted to keep her to himself in case any one spoilt his personal space

This movie was dogshit for the most part but I did enjoy and appreciate how it showed Mick's exasperated fondness for Tommy and how they did have a special bond despite all the drama and toxicity of the band.
