Yeah the creators left them blank " just in case we need a new character that doesn't need too much background in case we make pokemon a multiverse like Zelda" just check the new movie they inserted them there
Damian: "My fire type pokémon is weak against rock type moves, so let's go to the Cerulean gym instead." . . . . . Damian: "... This place is... a pool...? No... no way...! *NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-* !" And thus Damian regretted his choice of starter pokémon to the extent that he left it out in the woods.
Lol maybe but as a fire type trainer for most games it just took some extra training and grinding. However it would be really awesome if they made the games like the anime, being able to hit stuff to weaken the opponents Pokémon. Like Ash did with the sprinklers.
Ash is nothing like red, red was a trainer who was naturally strong and barely ever lost because of how good he was with pokemon, ash was a passionate kid who slowly built his strength over time, showing that he could be strong and weak during different situations.
@@kingrem3467 Far from it. He's been beaten by gold and eventually other trainers in the PWT, but that's because they are on a similar level of experience to his.
Ash is LITERALLY Red. His name in the original Japanese is Satoshi, which is the canon name for "Red" in the original names, AND the name of the creator of Pokemon.
Damien can't be the trainer from pallet town. I just watched that episode, and near the end, he says "I caught it, so I can choose what to do with it." Which means he didn't pick it as his starter, rather he caught a wild charmander.
+JorgeAlberto Herrera Might be true, but still, the dub changes a lot from the original Japanese script. I'd make sure with the original episode first. I don't agree with the Trainer A = Damien theory, but still
I know I’m late to the party, but here’s something else to consider: In the anime, a lot of the time when Ash says who he is, he says something along the lines of “I’m Ash Ketchum from Palet Town”. This shows that Ash let’s others know that he is from Palet town. And we the viewers know for sure that Ash is from Palet town. Now if we are going with the theory that Damian traveled from another city in Kanto to Palet town to receive his starter Pokémon, then that means that he is not a citizen of Palet town. The Cerulean Gym leaders and the Samarai said that they battled trainers *from* Palet town, not *coming from* Palet town. And from the way Ash introduces himself, we know that using the word *“From”* ,means that you are a resident of a certain city. If Damian were to address himself the way Ash does he would say that he’s from “Blank City”, not Palet town. An example of this I can remember vividly is when Ash battles Paul in the Sinnoh league. Before the match began, they announced that Paul was from Vilestone city and Ash was from Palet town. Just like we see Dawn in the anime go to Sandgem town to get her starter Pokémon from prof Rowan, Paul would have had to do the same. But even with that, he is still referred to as being from Vilestone city. Idk just a thought...
Isaac Akhigbe very interesting I like this a lot. For some reason I feel like Ash’s complete Pokédex actually belongs to red same with pikachu. He left them with the profesor. Red would be the prequel saga to the original series.
@@Ao400 I am late but Gary and Blue have Prof Oak as their grandparent so unless they're brothers/twins then it will be unlikely, although red's Prof Oak could be like ash's Prof oak's father as they would share the same surname and look similar, but then misty being 10 in both doesn't make sense.
It's pretty obvious the show writers only created the characters so that there is an excuse for why Ash couldn't have gotten a normal starter Pokémon like it is depicted in the original games (and hence why he got Picachu, who the creators were pushing hard to be the Anime's mascot). The writers of the show have a history of dropping plot lines because they decided on not expanding on the details and even admit to thinking/hoping the viewers would simply forget about them i.e. Look up the Gold/Silver ball from season two that gets randomly forgotten about despite being introduced as a seemingly important thing.
Yea I think the series creators didn’t really think about the other trainer’s back stories. Also when Gary shows his badges he has 10 not 8 and only 3 of them look anything like Kanto gym badges. Which is very interesting.
The Anime canon shows there are more than just 8 gyms per region, each region is a lot bigger than the games, ash just follows the same gym route as the games, episodes have shown team rocket stealing badges from trainers entering the same competitions as Ash with a completely different set of badges.
That would explain why so many trainers earned the necessary eight badges to compete for the league championship, even though there were gyms obviously almost impossible to earn badges at the time of Ash's journey (challenging Sabrina was virtually suicidal without a ghost pokemon, for example, and the Cinnabar Gym was mainly inactive).
ToewsToKane yeah the makers of the animated series (correct me if I am wrong) said they put the badges in for plot one theory I point towards is they are badges for Jhoto before it was a thing one I specifically point towards is the one that represents a shield it could’ve been very much a prototype of the zypher badge from the first gym in gold silver and crystal (just finished heart gold not too long ago) so in theory it could’ve been a precursor to the badges we see in gold silver crystal and the remakes
You should probably watch the episode with Damian on Netflix. If I'm not mistaken, Damian actually says that he caught Charmander. So he can't be a contemporary trainer from the town of Pallet with Ash because that trainer, "Trainer A" was given his Charmander.
Also, he said damien could have came from other towns to pallet town for the starter. EXCEPT that, it's a fact there were indeed 4 trainers from pallet town. So, his theory dismisses damien to have came from pallet town. How did he not see this??
Let’s all just take a sec to realize something very important. Ash is more skilled than either Trainer A and B. Let that sink in, Ash is better than someone...
For all we know two of the CoDs could have been the trainers and just didn't use the starters. Ash got his 4th badge after getting Charmander and Bulbasaur. So unless the other two trainers thatb were aheqad of them abandoned their starters pretty quickly I don't think it was the same two that Ash missed. Bulbasaur seemed to have been their a while, like, seemed like he had been protecting that place before Ash left Pallet Town. How does Reggie sound as a candidate for the trainer who got the Charmander? He did have Zippo.
For Trainer B how about Assunta? Would be kind of funny, a minor character being parallel to Leaf. She chooses Bulbasaur, Reggie chooses the one that should beat her. She beats Reggie in the league. Just like if Leaf chooses Bulbasaur Blue chooses Charmander and Leaf eventually beats Blue.
Isn't Ritchie impossible since he was introduced during the Indigo Plateau portion, has 8 badges, and competes? Professor Oak said they gave up before obtaining all 8 badges.
Episode 25, I just went back and found it!!! It's before Ashe encountered Primeape; when he was on the phone with Prof Oak. Right at the start of the Episode.
Here is my theory. Quick and simple Ash’s complete Pokédex actually belongs to red same with pikachu. He left them with the profesor. Red would be the prequel saga to the original series.
Im pretty sure Damian is impossible to be a Trainer from oak 1.He caught his freakin charmander. Sorry for debunking your dreams but the 2 trainers are added for plot
"Professor Oak makes the first mention we hear of them" *Officer Jenny earlier in that same episode: "You know, you're the fourth trainer I've seen from Pallet," *Ash (in response to Officer Jenny) : "Fourth!? That means Garry and the others have been through here already..." EDIT: Also, a little correction, Dawn doesn't live in Littleroot Town, Littleroot Town is in Hoenn and is were Professor Birch lives. Dawn lives in Twinleaf Town, south-west of Sandgem Town, and south-west of Lake Verity.
I was always really disappointed to hear Professor Oak say, in Episode 65 that the other two trainers "just didn't have the skill". I always took that as a lame excuse for the anime to not have to create or develop them, I was hoping that we'd at least meet them in the Pokemon League and they would be major opponents for Gary and Ash.
Come to think of it, how awesome would it have been for Trainer A to have been Ritchie (with Charmander) and and Trainer B to have been Assunta (the girl who defeated Ritchie's Pikachu with her Ivysaur) - that would have worked!
For me it's Red and Green. I mean, even on the games, we got Yellow for Ash story. Green too i feel is a female. Let's even think about it... Blue is Garry, who got Squirtel. Red, got Charmander... and Green Bulbasaur. Ash isn't Red, Ash got Pikachu and is represented on Pokemon Yellow as i said. Green being female goes as a nod to leaf green.
@Trashy yeah. Btw Green, according to the Manga, was STRAIGHT UP KIDNAPPED by a "Bird Pokèmon". And was with Silver who also appeared in the Manga, they both escaped and and wanted to return home. So, Green went back to Kanto which is seen in the Manga and Silver is in Johto, like in the Games. So for me, Damien is the other one. And the other, is a Mistery. And someone else became champion in the Anime, if Red was the other, Red should've won. So....... case closed. _Or is it?_
@@1300l According to Wikipedia, Ash is Red's Nickname, so.... it's an alternate universe with Red - Ash Blue - Gary (You actually get the name "Ash", "Red" or "Barry" if you just put a blank in your name in Pokèmon Red. And one of the choices for your rival was Blue, Gary, and Green) Also, the "Bird" that kidnapped Leaf/Green was Ho-Oh. And Ho-Oh was ordered by "The Masked Man".
And if Ash ain't Red, then it will come to a case where the Anime is a sequel to the games since Ash's Pokèdexes in the entire series is complete. And those were comlpleted by the Dex holders (Game Protagonists). _BUT HEY, THAT'S JUST A THEORY, A GAILM (GAME AND FILM) THEORY!!!_
In Pokémon fire red there another trainer who claims to have been from pallet town that npc is in cave in victory road I think she’s like the last trainer if not mistaken Last trainer before exiting the cave or towards the end
It is also possible that the other two trainers were unable to qualify for the Kanto League that year, but didn't give up on being Pokemon trainers. When Oak says they "didn't have the skill" he could be referring to fact that they didn't have the skill to win 8 badges and make it into the Kanto League after becoming trainers so soon, not that they gave up entirely on being trainers. It is also possible that one or both decided to take a hiatus from being a "competitive trainer" and the Leagues/Gym Battles, but ended up returning after a period of time.
Why do you say that? I don't think it that likely but it is still possible Damien could have been one of the other trainers. Assuming it is Damien, he might have been able to win against Samurai with Charmander, his starter, especially due to the type advantage. However sometime after Charmander experienced a losing streak and Damien became frustrated with it causing him to eventually abandon it. Damien also appears in the anime sometime after Ash has gone to Cerulean, so he could have already beaten the gym there with a Pokemon other than Charmander (assuming he didn't just completely ignore the type advantage). This would also make sense if Damien was ahead of Ash and had already passed through Cerulean. It is entirely possible it could have been Damien.
Mark Bada-Bing i get where you are saying that when you Present yourself you dont say the city where you got your starter you say where you are from so maybe It wasnt damien But still possible if damien felt the need to say where he got his starter And not where he is from
Doesn't the Pokemon Movie - I Choose you, show the faces of the other two trainers? If I remember correctly, it was a girl that picks Bulbasaur, and a boy that looks like Tierno (from XY) that picks Charmander. I know the movie isn't cannon to the main anime, but that's as close as we're ever going to get.
Besides the fact that the movies aren't cannon with the anime, I Choose You (and The Power of Us) is set in an entirely different timeline from the anime and the other movies. PS: Marina from the Orange Islands was the girl who picked Bulbasaur there.
@@marcelo335 That doesn't make sense, as Marina is a water-type exclusive trainer like Misty. She'd have picked Squirtle. They probably just recycled her character design.
But if Damian didn't challenge Brock because rock types are a bad match up for fire types, then why did he challenge the Cerulean gym? Water is also a bad match up for fire, but Misty's sisters confirm that they lost to all three trainers. Makes no sense that Damian would skip one gym because of a bad match up and not another.
+Xylarxcode That's really not a problem. Think about it. Not many types are effective against Rock type. Honestly, any rookie should skip a rock type gym. Water types are another story. As long as it's not a fire, ground or rock type you should be fine. Odds are that he caught more pokemon before challenging the sisters. Since he went through the forest he probably caught a grass or bug type, or both. Then when he took the the alternate route he could have could anything.
+Patronofdragons I still don't understand why everybody think that fighting Brock as a begginer is so difficoult... I mean... the forest has caterpies... that evolves into butterfree in a short time... the first move that the pokemon learn is a psych move "confusion"... I think... sorry if I get the name wrong, in my language that is the name, I'm just trying translating that in english hoping that is the same XD Anyway... a psych move is strong against Broks pokemons, so... winning against Brock is pretty easy even starting with a charmender... infact I always did that, and I still don't understand why everybody says that that give disvantage to you... just use a butterfree XD
Oh, beating Brock is simple enough in the game, not so much outside of it. If we remove game logic then taking on Brock as your first Gym is a bad idea. He is an experienced Gym Leader who specializes in Rock Types. That's not a good combination. If Brock knocks out the Butterfree then your screwed. That's not even considering the possibility that the kid, who literally just started out, knows that strategy or if the Butterfree even knows that move. There's also that fact that spamming only one move is generally a bad idea. The opponent will catch on and counter accordingly. Honestly, it's better to skip that gym until you are more experienced, unless you are like Gary, who is knowledgeable about battling and pokemon in general. However, if your talking about in the game, it's still understandable why people would have a bit of a hard time. It would most likely be your first Gym battle ever and you don't know the type match ups that well or what pokemon learns what when. Honestly, who would have known that Caterpie (something that looks useless) would evolve that fast and it's final evolution would learn a psychic type move (a type they shouldn't know exist yet) on there very first playthrough all those years ago. On a side note: I approve of your icon 10/10
I don't know, I was 8-9 at the time and I remember that everybodye where like: "Brock is terrible!! You can't pick charmender, you'll lose, take squirtle" XD I still took charmender because I loved him a lot(and I still love him), and I remember that winning against Brock was a piece of cake... seriously it was very easy, and I remember I used Butterfree to win... and it was my first time, and nobody told me to do that(since everybody told me to use squirtle or bulbasaur against him), I don't think that I was smarter than other kids... probably I just payed more attention and tried some strategies with the "minions"... kids are more fexible than we grown up, so adapting fast and founding weak point was easier at that time XD While using a "real life reason" is something we never tried since "pokémons don't exist", and since in the anime they can do thing that in game you can't do(like telling your pokémon to evade a move, or telling him to do a move and do another move just after that without leaving the enemy his turno to attack, I think that making a speculation about that is impossible without seeing in the anime how it would end up if a well trained butterfree takes a fight with Brock's pokemons XD Thanks
I see. Tbh I was the same way with Whitney in Heartgold. Everyone had a trouble with her but beat her with just my starter. Pesky, "pokemon isn't real". I'm sure that little problem will be solved one day. Speculating about fictional characters and creatures is what the internet does best (plus it's fun) and it's why we are watching this video \o/ (Me too. I just adore all the Ren siblings)
May be the trainer of Charmander was Lisa.. if you remember her, she's the one who is in charge of Charisific valley Lisa's Charmander was weak so she decided to take her Charmander to Charisific valley and eventually it turned out to be a strong Charizard... Later she just wanted to serve the Charizards
True, but while most Pokemon trainers start at 10 years old, there's no reason why there wouldn't be someone of James age who, say, also flunked out of Poke Tech, but decided to give pokemon training another try later.
also According to ur Theory that Damian is one of the trainers - Your are Right . Because Damian said that his Charmander was weak and was not able to beat the water Types and so he left it . The episode Which Shows Damian Leaving Charmander comes 1 episode after Ash crosses cerulean city ( Water type gym )
That could be true, maybe then that's why he left Charmander out in the rain to improve on his weakness, water. And also, if Damien didn't come from Pallet Town, perhaps he came from Cerulean City, he decided to visit there to meet his parents to show he received a Pokemon, then he decided to battle the Cerulean gym first.
But the gym leaders said they got beaten by three other trainers and if damian is one of them then he should've won and not left his Charmander dumbass
Red is Neo MissingNo is Smith they are one in the same just different form. red captured MissingNo reseting the PokeMatrix and vanished into the non existent future, johto
Yeah but who said that exact charmander and Bulbasaur that ash got were from trainer A and B? A speculation used as evidence for another speculation...
+Bulba Tube That is a good point! Definitely my bad on using that as possible evidence :s I feel like so little info is given though, that I had to use a little bit of a "what if" scenario.
Mr Buddy this is the things with theory videos, one begins to grasp and rely on "what if;s" to form evidence. This is why I am always amazed by people who make good theory videos, like this one, it takes a lot of mental energy to string it altogether!
+Mr Buddy Well could we speculate that leaf is trainer B at least? since It would make the most sense as no one else really takes her place in the anime like Ash takes reds place and Gary takes Blue (Green if we are looking at japan) and She also appears to have been planed to be In the original games as she does appear in the adventures manga and it looks like she is on the Japanese Stategy book cover So maybe her counterpart exists in the show, she just isn't shown in the pokemon anime cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/f/f3/RGB_guidebook.jpg www.serebii.net/manga/characters-new/pics/Blue_Design.jpg
as someone who have watched every single episode of pokemon multiple time for story research.. I can tell you that there are certain characters that are totally worthless when it comes to lore.. this is one of the cases. ash gets pikachu, and to narrate the story so ash ends up with pikachu he gotta sleep late.. and for it to be effective story plot for him to sleep late, there need to be more then just ash and gary. so the only conclusion here is that they get mentioned in the "Early" episodes to make you believe that they exist and ash ended up with pikachu. but the 65th episode is the LAST and only time you hear about those trainers since episode 7 (?) wich means that they only get mentioned probably because people were asking on the forums who those 2 other trainers where, and to tell people that they only are Plot fillers, the only conclusion would be "They are not skilled enough" wich renders them for most people useless. :)
i think that's something of a lie, if you marathon the entire pokemon anime seasons, it would translate to 15,5 days, make it twice since you said that you watched them multiple times, and we got 31 days, and that's no breaks, so yeah don't think you've spent 372 hours watching anime during your life
Didn't Oak just need them to help him with the Pokedex? why would it matter if they were "skilled enough". After all, Gary was always better than Ash, and he quit to become a researcher, a scientist or something like his uncle. Leaving us just with Ash once again, but it doesn't mean Gary was bad at all.
Red can coexist with Ash in one Universe. The Difference is Time. Red is the one that completed the Pokedex so other Trainers, like Ash can wander and search for Pokemon. e.g: In Origins the Pokedex shows no information when Red encounters a new Pokemon but in the original Anime it always does. The explanation might be that Red carried on with the Quest to find every Pokemon or maybe Silver came shortly afterwards and finished Reds quest in completing the Pokedex. Meanwhile Ash maybe a few years later starts his journey after Red/Silver already went towards Johto or Hoenn so they never meet.
never, never try to crossover diffrent universes inside of the anime which was created for youngsters (which can't be said about the Red's series of anime, and manga's). The things will never add up, seriously. They may have similliar characters from time to time, they may share the same topic (pokemons and the whole journey), but they aren't supposed to be completly added up together. Why? Maybe look at prof. Oak's age when both Red and Ash starts their Journey. After all, if Red started 20 years before Ash (from Pallet Town obviously) Oak looked exactly the same. Ash version state's his in his 50's... which would make him around 30 yr old in the Red's timeline. Sorry, but your theory is kinda busted by those few things. Also what destroy's this theory is fact, that after Red finished his journey, Giovanni was replaced by Blue in his Gym. That would make Ash fight with Blue, not Team Rocket.
Friggin Boom Toys So? Where else would they get it from, New Bark Town? From anywhere in Kanto, Pallet would be the closest place to get your free starter
SycoMantis91 I agree once a year oak gives all new trainers a starter but for all accounts there listed as being from a home town / city. if you go back through the anime and pay closer attention to side story's rather then just "trainers" there is a girl who has a bulbasaur at the pokemon school ash joins who could have been from pallet town. as well i might add there could be outer area homes in the forest or off the main paths that count as pallet town residents. so ash would never have met them or known them.
Duhh it's not Red. 1: Red and Blue never gave up on there journeys 2: Blue chose a Squirtle so he couldn't be trainer B which also makes it impossible for Red to be trainer A Who ever said red clearly just said a name without giving any thought.
The other 2 trainers were mentioned again but its not helpful either when ash tells prof oak that he has 4 badges prof oak tells him that all his other rivals have 5 badges
Were there any instances where Charmander interacted with Professor Oak? If so, did Charmander show any familiarity with him? If Damian was indeed Charmander's trainer, then that Charmander would recognize Professor Oak.
+Darnell5000 I was just thinking this exact thing. Professor Oak would even likely recognize Charizard, even though it was evolved. And for people that want to believe Bulbasaur came from the last trainer, there was no sign of recognition between them.
+Summer Nights Well, it makes sense though. Because in the episode Damian says he abandoned Charmander because he could not beat water-type pokemon! So it's possible.
Blank Herschel You do realize that you can get a pidgey on like the first few routes... If you don't have a flying type in your party by the time that you get past the first two gyms, then.... I don't know how you are playing the game .-.
I think you have missed a reference. Somewhere around Ash’s third badge I believe Professor Oak once again told him that the others were ahead of him. I’m not. 100% sure, but it does go along with the ‘excellent start’ story line Oak presented Ash with when asked about the other two.
Also I forgot to mention if Brock saw Red than he would have obviously recognized Red because he was the one who took Red under his wing and taught him the basic's of being a Pokemon trainer
+2dw Mineplex wooo boy. I should probably ignore this comment, but i'm gonna reply to it :D As I've said numerous times in the comments, you can say it as Kahn-toe (which is how I say it) or Can-toe (which is how the english dub says it). The pronunciation I use is how the Japanese say it (I dunno why i've always said it that way), while can-toe is the english dubs way. Both ways are correct.
+2dw Mineplex It's actually pronouced Kah-n-to. "Ka" in japanese is pronouced "kah" and since the region has the same name in Japan, it can't be pronouced that way.
Interesting theory! I honestly never paid attention at the fact that there were 2 other trainers but I wish the writers would have kept them, a 4 way rivalry would have been so epic
You guys isn't it obvious, Neither Ash not Gary are the trainers Oak, Samurai, or even the C.Sisters spoke about, Trainers A and B are (dramatic pause) THE TRAINERS FROM THE FIRST MOVIE. Now hear me out but the ones that straight up challenged Mewtwo held a Blastoise and a Venosaur (and Ash had a Charizard for the sake of the plot but he was stupid enough to straight up challenge Mewtwo to a fist fight even though Fighting
ryan green Yeah but as we saw from the episode where ash gets charmander, it is possible for a trainer to have more than 6 pokemon so long as he's not competing in the Pokemon League And it's very possible for a trainer to find wild starter pokemon (At least in the anime) so what if the trainers Samurai fought were't registered trainers, I'm sure there must have been more than four people in Pallet that wanted to be Pokemon Trainers, Who's to say they didn't just say fuck it and went out on their own adventures without being registered
Luciano Martinez I think when we only have three core pieces of evidences for a theory, it seems a little silly to throw one of them out. Sure, your theory is entirely possible, but because we have such little information, lets take all the information we have at face value.
Luciano Martinez Good theory after the movie the trainers could have felt defeated even if Mewtwo wiped their memories. This would show that Ash was right in not evolving his Pokemon and we saw the difficulty he had in controlling Charmander after it evolved, the other trainers probably had a hard time controlling their Stage 2 Pokemon. They quit for a reason and this would support Ash's style. Evolving is not everything this was a big theme of Ash's journey. There were many gyms in Kanto that they did not show because Gary had over 8 badges when he arrived in Viridian.
I agree slightly there with you. Though that would mean that only one of the trainers in the first movie would be from Pallet and recieved a Pokemon from Oak and that would be Venasaur.
+james lawman (super kid) It's not racist, he's literally drawn that way! There are only three times that Brock's eyes are actually seen in the anime. Once when he was hit with flamethrower, again when he was hit in the head by Arbok, and the third was when he made a funny face at some Pokémon (I forget who, but if you Google it you'll probably find it).
but then if you rethink again mysti's sisters said that they got beatened by 3 other pallet town trainers before red so does that mean they should live in pallent town instead of moving from other towns to recive there starters from Oak's Lab? 7:00
First one can be Ritchie, with having Charmander (but keep in mind that he was discredited by Oak, as he said the other two trainers had messed up/flunked and gave up on their journies). Gary took Squirtle, but who took Bulbasaur? As Damian's Charmander and the Bulbasaur from the Hidden Village don't seem familiar with Prof. Oak (as if they were once in his lab or so) or neither of them looks "brand-new" (especially Bulbasaur), where Damian also seems like in a journey for more time than Ash is (with all the pokemon he caught) so he can't be the other trainer either. Mayor from the Orange Island and May from Hoenn have Bulbasaur, but none can qualify for this discussion - so Shauna, who got her from Prof. Sycamore is eliminated as well; and Gilbert, the son of the Mayor of Pallet Town, who also chose a Bulbasaur very after the series had started, will be eliminated, too.
If you watch the movie, the mystery is solved! The two missing trainers, that have almost the same level than Ash, are the boy and the girl also invited to fight Mewtwo. Due to their physical appearance, you understand that they are supposed to be the two others: the girl has a blastoise and has blue eyes, the boy has a venusaur and has green eyes. They, w/ash, are supposed to be the best trainers ever (+ another guy with a gyarados but he is not interesting at all). It can highly imply that they spent the same time to train their pokemon! So that they began at the same time. I liked your video, but it was impossible that the two pokemon received by Ash were the two missing starters, because too much time has passed and at the time they would already be evolved. (By the way, very sorry for the bad english)
Tristan Murrow : Well I really thought Gary had a Charizard. So we have a charizard that is still missing, huh? Well, it does not infirm for the venusaur, let imagine that only the charizard is a mystery.
Even if the trainers were from another city and travelled to pallet town to get their starter pokemon it still doesn't make sense because then they wouldn't be mentionned as trainers from pallet town by Oak or misty's sisters
Red without a doubt definitely isnt the one that's trainer A... Dont even think about it...how could he 'didnt have the skill' when he collected all the gym badges
I'm rather surprised Pokemon Theory, once dismissing Red and Blue as possibilities because Gary and Ash were their counterparts, didn't carry that logic one step further. If Blue and Red had counterparts, then logically--Green must have had her counterpart too (I notice the shadowy figure depicted in this segment as not taking the charmander is depicted as a female--who's to say the other pokemon couldn't have been a squirtle instead of a bulbasaur?). And we know in Pokemon Adventures Green absconded from Professor Oak's lab with a starter pokemon (it was a squirtle, as a means for Green to get around her fear of bird pokemon). But the anime never showed that character, you might say? Well, now we know why--Green's counterpart never showed up in the anime because she gave up before viewers even got a chance to see her in the TV show! Green had a tough time in Pokemon Adventures, losing her hometown and family, but she eventually escaped her captors and finally achieved joining Red and Blue as Professor Oak's proteges and reunion with her parents. But while her TV counterpart evidently was never kidnapped by a bird pokemon, she didn't have her game/manga counterpart's skill and perseverance.
they are red and green since gary is considered blue and the anime is an alternate story to the game kind of a "what happens if someone becomes a trainer but prof oak has no more starters?" even if ash is a counterpart to red he could still be his own character as well where as gary and blue have the same personality.
Came here to say this too. Even if the trainer left from a different to Pallet Town to get their starter, why would they tell people they're "from Pallet Town?". When most people move from city to another, you still say you're from the original city you came from, not the new city you live in.
TapemanTV Guys you know that you can be born in a place then move somewere else. For example a mexican is born in mexico but foes to the U.S.. He is still from mexico. Duhhhh. So Damian could've been born in pallet but move somewere else. So he is from pallet town but moved to a diff area.
Yes and no really, they are both rivals to the protagonist Red/Ash respectively, but have distinct differences (tho still I like to think of them both as the same person too 🙂)
there is no chance thats its damian. the samurai guy told ash that he fought against all the other pallet town trainers and that they were high skilled and he respected all but he doesnt respect ash cause he left his pokemon behind
0:18 2 other trainers 0:36 It’s about the anime, not the games 1:32 The two other trainers 2:10 1st mention of trainers 2:44 2nd mention of trainers 3:17 3rd reference of trainers 4:15 4th mention (after 8 badges) 5:18 Damien and Melani 7:20 Dismissing Damien as Trainer A (1. people outside of Pallet town come to get their starters 2. Misty/Brock don’t recognize him) 9:27 Melani not likely trainer B, possible the bulbasaur was released by trainer B 10:55 Red
Gary's game counterpart is actually called Green in Japan. They changed it to Blue in the West, because we never got a green version. Blue is the name of the female trainer in the pokemon manga... but of course they changed that to Green in the US version as well, to not confuse them foreigners. I think it's a bit of a shame. "Blue" seems like more of a girl's name to me than "Green".
I think that Red is in the other universe as revealed in XY there is another Universe and the Red from the first season of pokemon is the more kid Red, but the Red from the other universe is the one from Pokemon Origins.
Sodapopred ! Dude they aren't connected at all. Why do you think ash or any other characters never catch any Pokemon in the movies or gain new gym badges. They also never gain or lose any new items in the movies
Sodapopred ! Yes, I forgot to mention that no evolutions occur either in the movies. The cartoon and movies are set in a different universe that way people won't get confused.
Here's a theory to ponder on. They never appeared in the anime at all. Reasoning behind this theory? Ash would know them, so if they had appeared he would have recognized them. You had mentioned that in the video, but they wouldn't be "trainers from Pallet Town" that was mentioned multiple times when the anime was still young.
***** Red got all badges and he made team rocket disband in pokemon origins which is all the information we can get from him. Also, he made an adventure on fighting along side with Green, and green is almost alike gary, same with ashe and red. So it would most likely be wrong. So they might be the same people but like he said "In an alternative universe."
I think it's obvious. Only 4 left. We know anime Ash and Gary are manga red and blue, so the other 2 are anime green and yellow, whether we saw them in episodes or not. Although, beta game stuff would suggest that the 4 'from' kanto are blue, blues sister, red, and reds brother. If ash is reds brother that could be why ash is 4th
Maybe the other 2 trainers are us? Since I guess most people got charmander and for Brock most people got bulbasaur to defeat Brock and misty? And the players choose their trainer future and played another future game?
I remember Bulbasaur wanting to battle Ash before agreeing to go on a journey together. That could've been it wanting to make sure that it didn't have a repeat of being partnered with a weak trainer.
Just like to make aware, that in Ep 025 (Primeape Goes Bananas) Ash makes a Video Call to Prof. Oak, who mentions that Gary and the other trainers from Pallet have already made their way through Celadon City. While it doesn't add much to the theory about who the trainers are, it's worth mentioning that they are mentioned after the Cerulean Gym episode.
4:00 you missed 2, in dig those digglet Gary mentions the other 2 trainers. and in Primeape goes bananas ash call oak to tell him he's got 4 badges and oak says that all the others have 5 now
Oak:Four Pokemon Trainers left Pallet Town on their Pokemon journeys, but you and Gary have earned the most badges. Ash: What happened to them? Oak:They had a good start, but don't have the skill to continue their journey So how come that you think that Red is one of those trainers?
You said Damien was probably A or B who took pokemon from Oak. Except that it's confirmed that "3 trainers from PALLET TOWN" by misty's sisters. Your theory says that he could have came from another town. Thus, Damien is still not one of four pokemon trainers in pallet town.
max ross Gen 5 and 6 revitalized pokemon for me. If you judge the games for what they are and ignore nostalgia, the newer games are better. Sure, this is an opinion, but if you actually look at the games and tear them apart unbiased, most people will agree. I love Gen 1. Gen 1 was great. Kanto will always hold a special place in my heart, but it isn't the best generation. Also, this is a video about the anime. Do you just go to every video labeled "pokemon" and try and start shit?
In terms of anime, Black and White (Gen 5) killed it for me aswell, but the Gen 5 games were the highest rated out of all of the Pokemon games. Gen 6 I find to be really good, but that's just my opinion. The anime of Gen 6 in Kalos is awesome though, I mean he actually hasn't gotten a Pokemon that doesn't evolve into an O.U. (except Pikachu ofcourse), even the Goodra that he released.
Honestly i don't like how much they changed just like that other dude said, the gym baghes, pokemon and charachers looked dumb and stupid, well then again its my opinion, i started playing yellow first but i think platinum was my fav game lol
Serena is trainer B, because in XY serie Serena comes to ASH after a defeat and gave him a scarf, and said ''Don't remember me ? We were in Pallet Town.'' So... Serena is Trainer B, or not.
+Victini Mew (Victinimew) Actually, she wasn't from Pallet Town. She visited there for a Pokemon Summer Camp hosted by Professor Oak. Her home town is actually Vaniville Town in the Kalos Region.
Damion being trainer A makes sense. Skipping the rock gym because of charmander would have made him feel that he was useless, then he couldn't use him again for the next gym so he would have been mad and used charmander to dominate grass and bug Pokemon for the gym win (which explains his heartless attitude towards pokemon) Finally.. he used charmander on L.T Surge that would have easily beaten him and talked smack about his skill. so he deemed charmander a crappy unwanted pokemon, gave up on him, and left him out in the rain. Trainer B is probably the girl that appears in the original theme song that was never in the anime
but if Damian and melany are the other two trainers left from pallet town with ash and Gary then ash has both of their starter p okemons like melany's balbausaur and damian's charmendar then what's the point of counting them as a pokemon trainer from kanto I mean they quit their journey for some reason..
I don't think Damien is the trainer with charmander because he said he caught it and he cant be from pallet town because of what you said. But the samurai and other trainers said there were three trainers from pallet town.
Im sure you gave it more thought than the creators of the series did..
Lol
lol
lOl
thank u
Yeah the creators left them blank " just in case we need a new character that doesn't need too much background in case we make pokemon a multiverse like Zelda"
just check the new movie they inserted them there
Another bit of information to consider is this.
Charmander nor Bulbasaur showed any signs of recognizing Professor Oak, which they should have.
their could be more professers or they could have been wild like bulbsaur when it could have gone with its family
That's exactly why it's a good piece of information
Because they wouldn't have been in Pallet
But they were in there poke balls so they could not see oak
JoshVerse there ya go you have a point
Damian: "My fire type pokémon is weak against rock type moves, so let's go to the Cerulean gym instead."
. . . . .
Damian: "... This place is... a pool...? No... no way...! *NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-* !"
And thus Damian regretted his choice of starter pokémon to the extent that he left it out in the woods.
It's more logical
Wait but anime logic
Lol maybe but as a fire type trainer for most games it just took some extra training and grinding. However it would be really awesome if they made the games like the anime, being able to hit stuff to weaken the opponents Pokémon. Like Ash did with the sprinklers.
But the water leader was beaten. So wouldn't make sense if he said charmander is weak.
Kaera猫 lol
Ash is nothing like red, red was a trainer who was naturally strong and barely ever lost because of how good he was with pokemon, ash was a passionate kid who slowly built his strength over time, showing that he could be strong and weak during different situations.
So red was a Mary Sue?
@@kingrem3467 Far from it. He's been beaten by gold and eventually other trainers in the PWT, but that's because they are on a similar level of experience to his.
To sum it up, Red was child prodigy.
Ash is the best
Ash is LITERALLY Red. His name in the original Japanese is Satoshi, which is the canon name for "Red" in the original names, AND the name of the creator of Pokemon.
Damien can't be the trainer from pallet town. I just watched that episode, and near the end, he says "I caught it, so I can choose what to do with it." Which means he didn't pick it as his starter, rather he caught a wild charmander.
cookies to you
NonSensePsclly Thanks :D
True although I wouldn't put it past him bending the truth
+JorgeAlberto Herrera charmenda
+JorgeAlberto Herrera Might be true, but still, the dub changes a lot from the original Japanese script. I'd make sure with the original episode first.
I don't agree with the Trainer A = Damien theory, but still
Ash called prof. Oak after getting his 4th badge, and oak mentioned the other 3 trainers already having 6.
5
4
1.)The guy from the pokecenter who abandoned his charmander.
2.)Some person that released their bulbasaur.
Obviously buttface and douche
I don't think it was damien because he is older and he isn't a starting trainer
Ash would know Damien then, tho
(The heck is the pfp)
Ao400 That could be possible too. There is very good reason to think that. But it looks like we will never know for sure :(
Exactly
@@Ao400 I am late but Gary and Blue have Prof Oak as their grandparent so unless they're brothers/twins then it will be unlikely, although red's Prof Oak could be like ash's Prof oak's father as they would share the same surname and look similar, but then misty being 10 in both doesn't make sense.
Damian CAUGHT his Charmander. He said so.. *edit* -in the anime.
Damian is a liar. :)
:0
It's pretty obvious the show writers only created the characters so that there is an excuse for why Ash couldn't have gotten a normal starter Pokémon like it is depicted in the original games (and hence why he got Picachu, who the creators were pushing hard to be the Anime's mascot). The writers of the show have a history of dropping plot lines because they decided on not expanding on the details and even admit to thinking/hoping the viewers would simply forget about them i.e. Look up the Gold/Silver ball from season two that gets randomly forgotten about despite being introduced as a seemingly important thing.
From Johto Saga

Isn't the g.s. ball supposed to be for celebi , I feel like it has been covered in a movie
LIKE PRIMAPE?
Red and Green but give Blue his deathbed confession to the American Sniper Chris Kyle
That would explain why so many trainers earned the necessary eight badges to compete for the league championship, even though there were gyms obviously almost impossible to earn badges at the time of Ash's journey (challenging Sabrina was virtually suicidal without a ghost pokemon, for example, and the Cinnabar Gym was mainly inactive).
love the name
ToewsToKane yeah the makers of the animated series (correct me if I am wrong) said they put the badges in for plot one theory I point towards is they are badges for Jhoto before it was a thing one I specifically point towards is the one that represents a shield it could’ve been very much a prototype of the zypher badge from the first gym in gold silver and crystal (just finished heart gold not too long ago) so in theory it could’ve been a precursor to the badges we see in gold silver crystal and the remakes
Pretty sure it's just lazy writing I mean the writers obviously don't give a Muk
You didn’t mention in the episode primeape goes bananas, Oak says his rivals including Gary has 5 badges
If this wasn't made in 2015, I'd say it was time to remake the video a third time, lol!
Brock didn't see him cuz he has no eyes...
Case closed

Damien. Skips Rock Gym bc of Fire Type. Goes to Water Gym
*claps slowly*
Fire type problems
Should've gotten that machoke left of Virdian. Got that whenever I chose charmander.
i remember i was 5 so i only used charmander and i didnt beat brock until he was charmeleon and i didnt beat misty until he was charizard
hahahahahah
You should probably watch the episode with Damian on Netflix. If I'm not mistaken, Damian actually says that he caught Charmander. So he can't be a contemporary trainer from the town of Pallet with Ash because that trainer, "Trainer A" was given his Charmander.
Lol for real. All throughout the anime they were referred to as trainers FROM pallet town.
you should watch the Japanese version mistranslation happens a lot. I'd if your right or wrong tho
Yea and he said he has 21 Pokemon shouldn't he only have 6 on him and the rest with professor oak
He had 21 because he also said he was willing to "break the rules". that's why he didn't have just 6.
Lol ya thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O:-) ash is the best also he my second favorite carictor pikachu is my first favorite character
Billie Eilish Melanie Martinez lol you made my day
Yeah, wonder why he added a Red and Green shadow though? He should've added a Damien and..... other shadow instead.
I'm sure there was an episode, Ash called Oak to say he had 4 badges, Oak was disappointed and said the rest had 5.
you are right
For all we know two of the CoDs could have been the trainers and just didn't use the starters.
Quick and simple
Ash’s complete Pokédex actually belongs to red same with pikachu. He left them with the profesor. Red would be the prequel saga to the original series.
Im pretty sure Damian is impossible to be a Trainer from oak
1.He caught his freakin charmander.
Sorry for debunking your dreams but the 2 trainers are added for plot
"Professor Oak makes the first mention we hear of them"
*Officer Jenny earlier in that same episode: "You know, you're the fourth trainer I've seen from Pallet,"
*Ash (in response to Officer Jenny) : "Fourth!? That means Garry and the others have been through here already..."
EDIT: Also, a little correction, Dawn doesn't live in Littleroot Town, Littleroot Town is in Hoenn and is were Professor Birch lives.
Come to think of it, how awesome would it have been for Trainer A to have been Ritchie (with Charmander) and and Trainer B to have been Assunta (the girl who defeated Ritchie's Pikachu with her Ivysaur) - that would have worked!
h
Kestrel raptorial but they got the badges
Kestrel raptorial It sounds like they was killed when he said that
6:55 Littleroot is in Hoenn.
Twinleaf is the town you are looking for.
Exactly what I thought.
Exactly
_Or is it?_
@Trashy True, but in the anime version (where red prob isn't called red) he may not be that skilled.
@@1300l According to Wikipedia, Ash is Red's Nickname, so.... it's an alternate universe with
Red - Ash
Blue - Gary
(You actually get the name "Ash", "Red" or "Barry" if you just put a blank in your name in Pokèmon Red. And one of the choices for your rival was Blue, Gary, and Green)
Also, the "Bird" that kidnapped Leaf/Green was Ho-Oh. And Ho-Oh was ordered by "The Masked Man".
@@1300l which means, you are right, in the anime, Red isn't that skilled. Because Red is Ash and Ash isn't skilled at all.
In Pokémon fire red there another trainer who claims to have been from pallet town that npc is in cave in victory road I think she’s like the last trainer if not mistaken
Last trainer before exiting the cave or towards the end
Go on.....
(Peter griffin meme)
Ash grey version
Still waitin....
Well....
It is also possible that one or both decided to take a hiatus from being a "competitive trainer" and the Leagues/Gym Battles, but ended up returning after a period of time.
lonelytrixter i think Oak meant E4
Ultimate theory: who is the masked royale???
Professor Kukuii is the Masked Royal
one of the trainers
Joseph Ouellette r/woooosh
you should suggest theories whitch are even possible to solve.
also yall r/ihavereddit
But The girls in Cerulean Gym and the samurai said they were defeated by 3 trainer from pallet town, so damian isn't an option
And What abaut richie and charmeleon
Mark Bada-Bing i get where you are saying that when you Present yourself you dont say the city where you got your starter you say where you are from so maybe It wasnt damien But still possible if damien felt the need to say where he got his starter And not where he is from
Random Guy Yeah ik read my comment again i said What you did just without the examples And less details
Random Guy And you never know We never Heard damien Present himself YOU DONT know maybe he Was one of a kind
Doesn't the Pokemon Movie - I Choose you, show the faces of the other two trainers? If I remember correctly, it was a girl that picks Bulbasaur, and a boy that looks like Tierno (from XY) that picks Charmander. I know the movie isn't cannon to the main anime, but that's as close as we're ever going to get.
to me the boy looks like red to me
Besides the fact that the movies aren't cannon with the anime, I Choose You (and The Power of Us) is set in an entirely different timeline from the anime and the other movies. PS: Marina from the Orange Islands was the girl who picked Bulbasaur there.
@@marcelo335 That doesn't make sense, as Marina is a water-type exclusive trainer like Misty. She'd have picked Squirtle. They probably just recycled her character design.
Maybe the girl is serena from xyz trying to find ash but then went on a pokemon guest
Red has his charmender as mega Charizard x
I think... sorry if I get the name wrong, in my language that is the name, I'm just trying translating that in english hoping that is the same XD
Anyway... a psych move is strong against Broks pokemons, so... winning against Brock is pretty easy even starting with a charmender... infact I always did that, and I still don't understand why everybody says that that give disvantage to you... just use a butterfree XD
You can't pick charmender, you'll lose, take squirtle" XD
I still took charmender because I loved him a lot(and I still love him), and I remember that winning against Brock was a piece of cake... seriously it was very easy, and I remember I used Butterfree to win... and it was my first time, and nobody told me to do that(since everybody told me to use squirtle or bulbasaur against him), I don't think that I was smarter than other kids... probably I just payed more attention and tried some strategies with the "minions"... kids are more fexible than we grown up, so adapting fast and founding weak point was easier at that time XD
While using a "real life reason" is something we never tried since "pokémons don't exist", and since in the anime they can do thing that in game you can't do(like telling your pokémon to evade a move, or telling him to do a move and do another move just after that without leaving the enemy his turno to attack, I think that making a speculation about that is impossible without seeing in the anime how it would end up if a well trained butterfree takes a fight with Brock's pokemons XD
Thanks
I see. Tbh I was the same way with Whitney in Heartgold. Everyone had a trouble with her but beat her with just my starter.
Pesky, "pokemon isn't real". I'm sure that little problem will be solved one day.
Speculating about fictional characters and creatures is what the internet does best (plus it's fun) and it's why we are watching this video \o/
(Me too. I just adore all the Ren siblings)
May be the trainer of Charmander was Lisa.. if you remember her, she's the one who is in charge of Charisific valley
Lisa's Charmander was weak so she decided to take her Charmander to Charisific valley and eventually it turned out to be a strong Charizard... Later she just wanted to serve the Charizards
True, but while most Pokemon trainers start at 10 years old, there's no reason why there wouldn't be someone of James age who, say, also flunked out of Poke Tech, but decided to give pokemon training another try later.
alrick freeman Makes sense. Origins is set WAY before pokemon with ash in, so keep thinking that. LOL.
Someone you dont know, they are completely different time lines. What you’ve said is completely wrong
id like to serve the Charizards.
also According to ur Theory that Damian is one of the trainers - Your are Right . Because Damian said that his Charmander was weak and was not able to beat the water Types and so he left it . The episode Which Shows Damian Leaving Charmander comes 1 episode after Ash crosses cerulean city ( Water type gym )
That's Right
That could be true, maybe then that's why he left Charmander out in the rain to improve on his weakness, water. And also, if Damien didn't come from Pallet Town, perhaps he came from Cerulean City, he decided to visit there to meet his parents to show he received a Pokemon, then he decided to battle the Cerulean gym first.
Munib Ahmad Damian and Leaf. Leaf was weak.
Then how did he beat the gym tho
But the gym leaders said they got beaten by three other trainers and if damian is one of them then he should've won and not left his Charmander dumbass
The shows creators didn't think that hard into it. The end.
Red is Neo
MissingNo is Smith
they are one in the same just different form. red captured MissingNo reseting the PokeMatrix and vanished into the non existent future, johto
Yeah but who said that exact charmander and Bulbasaur that ash got were from trainer A and B? A speculation used as evidence for another speculation...
***** ahhhhhh! lol - but otherwise its an interesting video
+Mr Buddy Well could we speculate that leaf is trainer B at least? since It would make the most sense as no one else really takes her place in the anime like Ash takes reds place and Gary takes Blue (Green if we are looking at japan) and She also appears to have been planed to be In the original games as she does appear in the adventures manga and it looks like she is on the Japanese Stategy book cover
So maybe her counterpart exists in the show, she just isn't shown in the pokemon anime

+killerinstinct59 yes but leaf won the elite four too
as someone who have watched every single episode of pokemon multiple time for story research..
You are very intelligent
can't be otherwise they would've gotten rid of them almost instantly as opposed to mentioning that they beat 5 gyms
i think that's something of a lie, if you marathon the entire pokemon anime seasons, it would translate to 15,5 days, make it twice since you said that you watched them multiple times, and we got 31 days, and that's no breaks, so yeah don't think you've spent 372 hours watching anime during your life
@Stephen O'Brien Well, I didn't know how old he is. Judging by his grammar he's either someone from other language or really young.
6:57 The same goes for Serena since she had to go from Vanville Town to Lumiose City for her starter
And thus Red can't be Trainer A
great theory
But that means Red and Blue would both have to exist, so we would've already known about Blue as Gary's older brother
Slithzor the tech ash and red have on their work looks like they are from the same time. Also, people before red knew much of those Pokemon.
never, never try to crossover diffrent universes inside of the anime which was created for youngsters (which can't be said about the Red's series of anime, and manga's).
I still think the language used pretty clearly says they're "from" Pallet, not that they started there
SycoMantis91 But they took their starter Pokemon from there?
Chaos Fluffy Pallet is a small town, if you've ever grown up in one you would know everyone especially one as rural as Pallet is shown to be.
I did grow up in a small town i only knew less then half my senior class and it was under 50 students so yeah
Also Ash overslept and didn't see the interaction between Red and Gary lol
they were mentioned in the episode where he catches primape
Duhh it's not Red.
1: Red and Blue never gave up on there journeys
2: Blue chose a Squirtle so he couldn't be trainer B which also makes it impossible for Red to be trainer A
Who ever said red clearly just said a name without giving any thought.
It wasn't canon that he chose squirtle, a lot of people just chose charmander. I chose bulbasaur so blue was the one who had a charmander /:
+Kamoanaa Cruz But in the anime he chose squirtle so it is canon
Anime canon doesn't match game canon
well pokemon origins
Maybe they did in main anime universe as pokémon franchises have mamy worlds, unjverses and dimensions.
Green-- Bulbasaur
Red-- Charmander
Blue-- Squirtle
Ash-- Pikachu
Gary-- Eevee
The 5 Starters of Kanto and their Trainers
love that idea!!! And what's with the names....more like green red blue & ash(gray)
But its confirmed that Gary started off with Squirtle and later caught the Eevee
Trainer B is the Anime counterpart to Leaf/Green/Blue. It makes sense.
You're right about Trainer B But Red was very successful And that is the only person that makes sense
The other 2 trainers were mentioned again but its not helpful either when ash tells prof oak that he has 4 badges prof oak tells him that all his other rivals have 5 badges
Dawn was from twinleaf town
?
AND SHE WAS AN EXEMPLE THAT YOU DONT NEED TO LIVE WHERE PROFFESOR LIVES TO GET A STARTER! ARE YOU DUMB
READ THE DESCRIPTIONNNNNN
Were there any instances where Charmander interacted with Professor Oak? If so, did Charmander show any familiarity with him? If Damian was indeed Charmander's trainer, then that Charmander would recognize Professor Oak.
+Darnell5000 I was just thinking this exact thing. Professor Oak would even likely recognize Charizard, even though it was evolved. And for people that want to believe Bulbasaur came from the last trainer, there was no sign of recognition between them.
"I can't beat a ground type gym leader with a fire type... LET'S GO FIGHT A WATER TYPE GYM LEADER!"
^The Pokemon anime logic in it's finest.
👆😆 Hilarious
+Summer Nights Well, it makes sense though. Because in the episode Damian says he abandoned Charmander because he could not beat water-type pokemon! So it's possible.
+Ari K How will he beat grass type pokemon then? Charmander is the easiest choice.
Blank Herschel You do realize that you can get a pidgey on like the first few routes... If you don't have a flying type in your party by the time that you get past the first two gyms, then.... I don't know how you are playing the game .-.
Blank・Herschel That went south quickly... But err, pretty much o.o
I won't lie. Halfway through I completely disconnected from your voice and just listened to the GC battle music
Its Kanto, not Konto. :P
Mr Buddy Okay, I see your point.
+Mr Buddy hiiiiiiiiiiiii I'm a huuuuuuugggeee faaaaaaannn!!!!!!
+2dw Mineplex It's actually pronouced Kah-n-to. "Ka" in japanese is pronouced "kah" and since the region has the same name in Japan, it can't be pronouced that way.
+2dw Mineplex see SunMoonGaming post
Luciano Martinez In the flashback of the samurai episode squirtle is shown as well as charmander and bulbasaur
ryan green Yeah but as we saw from the episode where ash gets charmander, it is possible for a trainer to have more than 6 pokemon so long as he's not competing in the Pokemon League And it's very possible for a trainer to find wild starter pokemon (At least in the anime) so what if the trainers Samurai fought were't registered trainers, I'm sure there must have been more than four people in Pallet that wanted to be Pokemon Trainers, Who's to say they didn't just say fuck it and went out on their own adventures without being registered
But I don't think Damian got the Charmander from Professor Oak, because in the episode where Damian appears, he says that he caught it.
Brock could have battled Damian and still not have seen him before because his eyes are always shut.
+Oliver Payne lol
That's racist
+james lawman (super kid) It's not racist, he's literally drawn that way! There are only three times that Brock's eyes are actually seen in the anime. Once when he was hit with flamethrower, again when he was hit in the head by Arbok, and the third was when he made a funny face at some Pokémon (I forget who, but if you Google it you'll probably find it).
I'm just guessing
Ash-thunder-or yellow (pikachu)
Gary-blue (squirtle)
???-red (charmander)
????-green- or leaf (bulbasaur)
Eh not close 😥
Based on Lucas and Brendan appearing in the movies from time to time, I think there is a chance for the other 2 to be Red and Green.
but then if you rethink again mysti's sisters said that they got beatened by 3 other pallet town trainers before red so does that mean they should live in pallent town instead of moving from other towns to recive there starters from Oak's Lab? 7:00
in episode when ash catches primeape is mention of them,
slifer 24680 true
i was gonna write that in
Yup. In that episode, the other two trainers are mentioned to have won 5 badges already as opposed to Ash's 4
Sycamore is eliminated as well; and Gilbert, the son of the Mayor of Pallet Town, who also chose a Bulbasaur very after the series had started, will be eliminated, too.
in episode 2 officer jenny mentions 4 other people from pallet town that had gotten there before ash though.. .
Maybe someone also took that Eevee that Oak had lying around in Yellow.
+Lhikan634 oh thats right i forgot lol thanks
well in the anime i saw she mentions 3 not 4.
But Red became champ and oak said the other trainers couldn’t make it
If you watch the movie, the mystery is solved!
Yeah but the two Pokemon the trainers we don't know about chose bulbasaur and charmander, not bulbasaur and squirtle.
Tristan Murrow : Well I really thought Gary had a Charizard.
So we have a charizard that is still missing, huh? Well, it does not infirm for the venusaur, let imagine that only the charizard is a mystery.
+Olezia Ivanoslava yeah I guess. Great theory though
Tristan Murrow Thanks, but I missed something so =( It's really bothering me, maybe they did not even think about it.
+Olezia Ivanoslava How can the girl with the Blastoise be the one that received her Squirtle at the same time if Gary got the Squirtle?
Even if the trainers were from another city and travelled to pallet town to get their starter pokemon it still doesn't make sense because then they wouldn't be mentionned as trainers from pallet town by Oak or misty's sisters
Exactly
Red without a doubt definitely isnt the one that's trainer A... Dont even think about it...how could he 'didnt have the skill' when he collected all the gym badges
IKR. H e even caught 152 it's 152 because mew and mewtwo
IKR. H e even caught 152 it's 152 because mew and mewtwo
+Anonymous :/ counting mew and mewtwo its 151 not 152
Isn't red like a year older than ash
he collected all the badges and caught 150 pokemon them hid himself on a mountain where he waited for someone worthy to challenge him lol
THE SHADOW WAS AN EXAMPLE ARE YOU STUPID
Squirtle was Gary's starter
We all know that Red is The Best Trainer from Pallet town
I'm pretty sure it's not them since ash would know damian and melanie said she had Bulbasaur for a while now
Brock couldn't recognize Damian because the animators drew his eyes shut
they are red and green since gary is considered blue and the anime is an alternate story to the game kind of a "what happens if someone becomes a trainer but prof oak has no more starters?" even if ash is a counterpart to red he could still be his own character as well where as gary and blue have the same personality.
But Mr.buddy the gym leaders said they were pallet town. But you said Damien is from other town/city
He GOT charmander from PALLET TOWN
Cameron Witterick-Rae yeah but he wasn’t originally from there. Meaning he wasn’t born there or raised there
Came here to say this too.
Maybe they all just assumed that trainers a and b were from pallet town.
Ash - Pikachu
Gary - Squirtle
Red - Charmander
Leaf - Bulbasaur
I think blue and gary are the same person
Yes and no really, they are both rivals to the protagonist Red/Ash respectively, but have distinct differences (tho still I like to think of them both as the same person too 🙂)
there is no chance thats its damian.
the samurai guy told ash that he fought against all the other pallet town trainers and that they were high skilled and he respected all but he doesnt respect ash cause he left his pokemon behind
“I’d be the best Pokémon trainer in the world if it wasn’t for my bum knee” 😂😂
0:18 2 other trainers
0:36 It’s about the anime, not the games
1:32 The two other trainers
2:10 1st mention of trainers
2:44 2nd mention of trainers
3:17 3rd reference of trainers
4:15 4th mention (after 8 badges)
5:18 Damien and Melani
7:20 Dismissing Damien as Trainer A (1. people outside of Pallet town come to get their starters 2. Misty/Brock don’t recognize him)
9:27 Melani not likely trainer B, possible the bulbasaur was released by trainer B
10:55 Red
Good job 👌👍
Ash is Yellow
Gary is Blue
The others are green and red in game respects
Ya Boi Guzma Gary and blue are the same because blue could be a nickname that red gave him
No there different characters
Smh. Ash and Gary are the anime counter parts of red and blue. Its not that complexed
Ya Boi Guzma ash is red Gary is blue
I think that Red is in the other universe as revealed in XY there is another Universe and the Red from the first season of pokemon is the more kid Red, but the Red from the other universe is the one from Pokemon Origins.
Well, in the first movie, there IS a person with a venasaur, so yah
Sodapopred ! You're slow aren't you, you're not getting what I'm saying, of course you wouldn't with that 10 IQ of yours
Roger Smith They are connected!
Sodapopred ! Dude they aren't connected at all. Why do you think ash or any other characters never catch any Pokemon in the movies or gain new gym badges. They also never gain or lose any new items in the movies
Roger Smith so people that have not seen the movie wont say : where did he get that?
Sodapopred ! Yes, I forgot to mention that no evolutions occur either in the movies. The cartoon and movies are set in a different universe that way people won't get confused.
Here's a theory to ponder on. They never appeared in the anime at all. Reasoning behind this theory? Ash would know them, so if they had appeared he would have recognized them. You had mentioned that in the video, but they wouldn't be "trainers from Pallet Town" that was mentioned multiple times when the anime was still young.
I think you accidently called twin leaf town little root
Ya Boy T-Poo Yeah, that was my bad :s I don't know why I was thinking of little root :D
i get the two mixed up aswell. i didnt really like gen 4 so its easy to forget the town names
mr buddy thats wrong if u check ash gray the name is jack ,john
Dawn didn't live in Littleroot town. She lived in Twinleaf town. May lived in Littleroot.
Ritchie might be the one who trained charmander
***** True.. I almost thought of richie too but you have made a fact, can't get out of this one lol.
***** I've guessed you made a point there.
That's what I thought
***** Red got all badges and he made team rocket disband in pokemon origins which is all the information we can get from him. Also, he made an adventure on fighting along side with Green, and green is almost alike gary, same with ashe and red. So it would most likely be wrong. So they might be the same people but like he said "In an alternative universe."
Jonathan his name is blue
I think it's obvious. Only 4 left. We know anime Ash and Gary are manga red and blue, so the other 2 are anime green and yellow, whether we saw them in episodes or not.
Although, beta game stuff would suggest that the 4 'from' kanto are blue, blues sister, red, and reds brother. If ash is reds brother that could be why ash is 4th
There were three other trainers from pallet. They got Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. Gary got Eevee.
Nope where did you get that fact from
+N.A.O.S Gaming Watching the show. I'm watching it now. Where else would I get it from?
You're thinking of yellow he gets Eevee in Yellow
+Planet Mark Gary's main is Umbreon. He says it was the first pokemon he got.
+Jonny5Fails yeah! That's what I thought, I swore eevee was his starter and they maid yellow to mirror the anime
Maybe the other 2 trainers are us? Since I guess most people got charmander and for Brock most people got bulbasaur to defeat Brock and misty? And the players choose their trainer future and played another future game?
Hi Mr buddy u make great vids
Harrison Wilson thanks for the encouragement, man! It means a lot :o)
Mr Buddy This was a really interesting theory and I think the Damian solution works really well.
4:00 you missed 2, in dig those digglet Gary mentions the other 2 trainers. and in Primeape goes bananas ash call oak to tell him he's got 4 badges and oak says that all the others have 5 now
Yes they do in the episode where Ash fights and trainer with with a methpod they both say that they were from Pallet Town
Exactly
Oak:Four Pokemon Trainers left Pallet Town on their Pokemon journeys, but you and Gary have earned the most badges.
Ash: What happened to them?
Oak:They had a good start, but don't have the skill to continue their journey
So how come that you think that Red is one of those trainers?
You said Damien was probably A or B who took pokemon from Oak. Except that it's confirmed that "3 trainers from PALLET TOWN" by misty's sisters. Your theory says that he could have came from another town. Thus, Damien is still not one of four pokemon trainers in pallet town.
3 trainers then ash
KaiDestinyz
Yeah he can't be from Pallet Town if he came from another town xD
KaiDestinyz But then Ash would have known them and he clearly knew none.
KaiDestinyz Except he could have traveled to Pallet Town and carried on his journey from there.
Gen 5 and 6 killed pokemon for me...
Nostalgia biased.
max ross Gen 5 and 6 revitalized pokemon for me.
***** I am a fan of the new games but I don't really like the Mega evolutions I think they are just a cheap merchandising thing.
+Victini Mew (Victinimew) hmmmm
interesting
Sahil Bhakta Right
+Victini Mew (Victinimew) Actually, she wasn't from Pallet Town. She visited there for a Pokemon Summer Camp hosted by Professor Oak. Her home town is actually Vaniville Town in the Kalos Region.
DomisoAlto Ok I watched the episode in english, and I missunderstood (yes I'm not english, I'm french) So it may have been an error. ^^
Victini Mew No big deal ^_^ good for you for knowing two languages.
I'd love to see the actual anime touch base with this subject again someday.
Wait, but wasn't Bulbasaur a wild pokemon
but if Damian and melany are the other two trainers left from pallet town with ash and Gary then ash has both of their starter p okemons like melany's balbausaur and damian's charmendar then what's the point of counting them as a pokemon trainer from kanto I mean they quit their journey for some reason..
I don't think Damien is the trainer with charmander because he said he caught it and he cant be from pallet town because of what you said. But the samurai and other trainers said there were three trainers from pallet town.
Exactly
