The mysterious girl from the intro isnt a Pokemon trainer from Pallet Town and here is why. If you look up for the Japanese theme song with lyrics, it says: I'll go through flames, woods, weeds, forests, the soil, clouds and *under the skirt of a girl* and through here, through there (2x) to get Pokemon! She is just made for the intro.
I mean yea, that probably is the case, but regardless I think theorizing about her being one of the trainers from Pallet works as a head-canon, nothing out right disproves it anyways
In episode 25, Ash called Professor Oak to brag about how he had just gotten his fourth badge the previous episode and Oak told him that Gary and the two unidentified Pallot Town trainers had already gotten five badges, including the Rainbow Badge that Ash wouldn't receive until the following episode. To me, that implies that they hadn't given up yet by that point.
They likely hadn't given up until the writers decided they'd served their purpose of being ahead of Ash, and all evidence in the show pointed to them being perfectly competent.
In episode 25 Oak tells Ash that he has only 4 badges and that his other 3 rivals (Gary included) had all past through Celadon City and atleast 5 badges....
Michael G-M Now that you say that, I remember this being said. Perhaps they earned 3 additional badges at gyms not seen in the anime? Because when Gary shows off his badges, he has badges from gyms that Ash does not.
AppleCode From what Bulbapedia has gathered there must be like 27different gyms. Cause we have seen some many badges all over Kanto ie: 8 Ash's badges, some of Gary's badges, some of Otoshi's (Murowak dude) badges, the 8 badges some random dude had in that same Otoshi episode that Jessie tried to steal only to be foiled by James and Meowth, etc...
AnythingLogical Exactly my speculation. They could've earned 5 badges, when to face Surge, then given up on the way back home to Pallet. Or something of the nature.
Although this doesn't really count but in Pokemon Ash Gray (FireRed hack) the creator made them names Jack and John (cliche names) and they can be found and battled in Victory Road....but remember this game isn't really counted to the series...
I was looking through the comments to see if anyone new about the Japanese version of the intro, that could still be the trainer but more likely something for the intro
ProtoMario Here's a theory: In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, spoilers, but the main plotline is that a meteor is crashing towards the Pokemon World that seemingly appears from nowhere. In Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire, in the aftergame a meteor is crashing towards our world, and scientists originally plan to send it to another dimension. What if Zinnia didn't stop the scientists? Is the Meteor from PMD the same from Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire? PMD was released in the same generation as the original Ruby / Sapphire...???
Charlene Ingram if i recall correctly the line that's sang in Japanese translate to some thing alone the lines of threw/under the skirts of the world which made me remember her but the vid i got it from is a distant memory
You are incorrect on when they gave up. In Primeape Goes Bananas, Ash is telling Professor Oak that he just got his 4th badge and Professor Oak tells Ash that all 3 of the other trainers already have 5 badges.
She's just a random girl (Lass) in the Pokémon-Opening. She's there for a "joke" in the original japanese lyrics of the Opening. That's all. I think, they just forgot to reveal the two Trainers from Pallet town, and near the end of the Indigo League noticed that fail.
ProtoMario, thank you for that Pokemon theory. Very well thought out. I have a theory that I would like to see you talk about. Here it is. In order for a trainer to compete in the Pokemon League, they need to win a total of 8 gym badges. Ash was able to acquire all 8 badges in Kanto; however, Gary did not win the Earth Badge from the Viridian City Gym, but managed to get three badges to have 10 badges. Where did Gary go to get a total of 10 badges?
You say they comment about 4 trainers only happened once, but i think i remember a line where gary says to ash "You were 4th to leave pallet, but as a trainer you're dead last." There's so slight extra backing.
I'm pretty sure this person was just supposed to be green from the manga. She was a really prominent character and I'm sure she was supposed to make some kind of appearance but just like in the games they cut her due to not finding place for her at the time
This woman was probably a joke in the Japanese intro. The intro's lyrics support this: (I'll get you, Pokémon!) Even if in fire, in water, in grass, in forests In ground, in clouds, in that girl's skirt (eek!)
Maybe Daisy oak choose bulbasaur and Red choose charmander because Gary will choose the pokemon that is effective to red pokemon (Gary and Blue are same people)
Supported by evidence or not, this is now my headcanon. Actually, it occurs to me that the reason Game Freak basically did away with the entire idea of canon altogether in Delta Episode was specifically so the fans could come up with any story they wanted and it would be just as valid as any other story. I like the thought of that.
You probably know but in the Japanese opening it mentions Pokemon being everywhere including under girls skirts, so she is probably just there for affect.
This is a pretty well thoughtout theory! It is clear that you put alot6 of thought into these theories and as a result I think you are easliy one of the more skilled theorist video makers on UA-cam. Keep up the great work on these videos :)
To be honest, I think the other Pallet Town trainers were anime versions of Green and Yellow. I think it would have been cool if the anime was somewhat influnced by the Pokemon Adventures, Pokemon Zensho, and Pokemon Electric Tales of Pikachu manga
To me she looks like the sprite for those trainers you meet called Lass. I mean you battle them in every game and pokemon stadium just saying she looks like a sprite for the trainers called Lass.
Why not do a theory on why Professor Oak only had three Pokemon for four trainers. Pikachu wasn't set to go and Ash had to beg Oak to get Pikachu. Also, why only four trainers? Does each region/town or whatever have a limit on how many kids they can have per year just to make sure that there's only 3 or 4 10 year olds a year?
But proto! Ash didnt recognize damien as one of the pallet town trainers And nurse joy gives out starter pokemon to trainers who doesnt have pokemon proffessor in theyre home town
Brock and Misty never reacted to have seen Damian before, so if the trainer from Pallet Town defeated the first two or more gyms then at least Brock should know him, right? Anyhow it's just a theory
Something off topic, but looking at 2:28, you can see the guy who fought all the Pallet Town Trainers remembering the battles. Since he said that each was more challenging than the last, and Assuming he remembers them in the order they were fought, this would mean that whoever took Bulbasaur was stronger than even Garry's Squirtle!
I personally would like it to be Damian and Leaf. Because would we have the trio of Kanto Startes in Anime (Ash with Charizard, Gary with Blastoise e Leaf with Venusaur)
Melanie implies that Bulbasaur was in the village too long and its growth was thus stunted. This could mean that Bulbasaur was at a lower level, not because it was young, but was held back.
There is a minor thing everyone forgets when they say Ash's bulbasaur and charmender were abondend by the other two trainers and that's the fact that proffesor Oak would have remembered the two of them and tell Ash who they belonged to.
My question is, that you mentioned that starter pokemon cannot be caught in the wild. However in the Battle aboard the St. Anne episode, two other trainers are seen with charmanders and one with a squirtle. Also in that episode numerous Kanto starters fight in the actual battle. So where did these come from?
But Proto, if Damien HAD beaten Brock wouldn't Brock have recognized him? That episode is heavily focused on Brock, wouldn't he have mentioned seeing Damien when he's about to beat the snot out of him? But Proto, Bulbasaur almost certainly isn't related to Palet town as he's been guarding the village for longer than just a few months. But Proto, why didn't you mention the Squirtle Squad?
In my opinion the girl in the intro was just the anime version of the lass from the video game, nothing special. Sometimes you can see anime version of trainer classes from the video game in the background. To me she is nothing more than a wink :) I used to think that the third trainer was an anime version of the girl who was supposed to appear in the first games, "Blue", also know as "Leaf" since she appeared in GL/FR, but that we would never be able to see her. Maybe Yellow from Pokémon adventure was also one of these trainers, she was the kind of who give up easily. "Blue/Leaf" wouldn't though. After all, it was proved that video games protagonists do exist in the anime (because Pokémon is one world I guess), we can suppose that all of them do and could for instance see Diamond or Ruby in cameo movie appearances. I don't know. But your assumption about the blue haired guy was pretty convincing tbh.
They said she was based off Lass/ The trainer in the manual. She was supposed to be a playable female character kins of like how we can choose male or female now. The data was soo low they didn't get to implement that until Crystal. Lastly I remember hearing that in the OG Japanese theme there were lyrics that said "You can find Pokémon anywhere even under a girls skirt." Something along those lines with the girl saying "Hey!" While Pikachu ran underneath her.
If damian lived in pallet town which is quite small, Ash would have known him when they met. As professor Oak is the regional professor who gives the starter pokemons Damian could have been living in another town, and that he skipped Brook and went to cerulion instead. As in the episode where they meet Damian Brook did not recognise him.
Hi there! I would like to suggest for an episode that you do one on what was suppose to be on the Pokemon red original release but was cut. You mentioned in this video you think the girl was cut from the original game and in the last episode you mentioned there were 50 Pokemon cut. Could you please do some research and see what you can find on what was cut? You seem really good at this research. Thanks!
Proto can you do a theory on where the starter pokemon come from? I mean the only place you can catch them is the friend safari, but that's not really the wild and was introduced in generation 6. So where do the other professors get their starters?
"She was cut so children would not be confused as to who she was". Sounds ironic to me because with how much the anime breaks continuity, Pikachu's level reseting and somehow forgetting Volt Tackle, Ash forgetting a lot his own tactics/battle style when entering a new region and not seeing his old Pokemon more often, I'm more confused about the anime now than when I first started watching it.
One of my favorite theories you have even covered. I do not follow theories but this is a good one! And OMG HOW did I never notice that chick in the intro??????
I always thought the "mystery girl" was the girl from the Trainer's school, just given different colors. But I do think your theory on Damien could be possible :)
Gary wasn't the first trainer to get his Pokemon, he was the 3rd. The fact that he was the last person to enter the Lab before Ash, and there was only one Pokémon left after he chose his proves this. After Damien chose his Charmander, Gary grabbed Squirtle to spite him whilst knowing he could have chosen Pikachu instead. It's in Gary's nature to pick the Pokémon which is super effective against the last guy to chose his Pokémon.
from a quick google search, the answer for that girl is, in Japan the lyrics say "you can find pokemon in the dirt, or under a girl's skirt" and that is why she is there
I believe she's just a gen 1 Lass. Looking at the Japanese opening she just seems to be used for one of the lyric lines. I'm refering to the "under that girls skirt" part where in the Japanese version Pikachu would run under it as well know.
That segment of the opening with the girl is taken from the original Japanese opening. It's from just seconds after the start and is one of those cheeky japanese jokes. The opening starts with Satoshi (Ash) exclaiming "I'll get you, Pokemon", then the song starts with singer sort of listing where he'll look. The translated lyrics are "Even if in fire, in water, in grass, in forests | In ground, in cloud, in that girl's skirt". Right there, that's the point where Pikachu runs through her legs, then there's a girlish screech. Everything you said about her maybe being planned to appear and then dropped could still stand, but her only purpose could have been for that joke
ProtoMario you forget something important in the episode 25 the one where Ash caught Primeape, prof Oak tell him at the begining that his every other rivals including Gary earn 5 badges each.
I just have 1 problem with who the other to rivals were. You said that after the 3rd gym in the anime, they gave up, but when ash got his 4th badge. Prof. Oak said "really only 4, all your other rivals have 5".
Proto, the episode where Ash gets his primate Oak states that the three head started trainers had 4 badges and the cut girl in intro was to be Daisy Oak.
That girl is only there as a part of a gag in the japanese opening theme where it coincides with the opening line of "Even if in fire, in water, in grass, in forests In ground, in clouds, in that girl's skirt (eek!)" She has nothing to do with the show other than just as a joke that was lost on Western audiences due to the recut of the opening with a new theme song
I know who she isIn the original Japanese song for Pokemon when they sing about their trials they say"I'll go through flames, floods, weeds, forests, The soil, clouds, and under the skirt of the girl (Scream!) "Plus she appeared as the Kanto champion after defeating Ritchie with her Bulbasaur's solar beam
The girl is a just a lass. The japanese theme song originally said something along the line of "follow pokemon anywhere, even under this girl's skirt." something like that more or less
The JWittz had a video about the woman in the theme song, saying she was just there for the Japanese lyrics about searching for Pokemon in her skirt. So once I heard that I figured there's nothing else to her. BUT if we're looking for the bulbasaur's trainer, I could believe it's her. XD
You forgot about the digglet ep. Gary told Ash that out of all the trainings he left he was in last place so at least up until then they didn't give up
Proto the girl in the opening is there in the Japanese version. If you listen to the Japanese lyrics/or have it subtitled it says, " in the girls skirt ". People say she was just there for the opening.
The girl in the back of the guide book and in the manga is named blue she is a trainer from pallete town who likes to steal not major crimes more petty like money and stuff she even stole from red once or twice
Omar A In the American version of the Manga, you are correct in that she is called Green, but she was named Blue (or whatever the Japanese word for blue is) in the Japanese version.
Omar A Here comes the confusingness. -First released in japan was Red and Green, So the two male characters are called Red and Green (this is why the remakes are red and green, and not red and blue). -Blue was released in japan much how crystal was released for silver and gold. The girl was then unofficially dubbed as Blue in japan (and thus called that in the manga). -Pokemon blue was then imported to English but split between two games ( Blue and Red) As the original green was not released having the rival character be named Green made little sense and so was then in the English release changed to Blue. -Then the manga was released in english. As the rival in english has always been seen as Blue, it made sense to keep that naming convention, and so the female trainer got her name changed from Blue, to green. - SOOOOOooo. To sum it up, she started off named Blue, and in japan is still called blue. But everywhere else in the world she is called Green.
winnkey I think you mean by "everywhere else in the world," English, French, and German countries... Because the girl is still called Blue and the boy is still called Green in the Korean, Thai, and Chinese translations of the manga, just like it is in Japanese. (Basically, it's a Western / Eastern world naming difference.)
In a episode of the 1st season oak tells ash the other trainers have 5 badges! When he only has 4 soooo...yaa theory disproven! And proto is not a wizard if he missed that giant detail
Sammy Pineda Not to mention that Damien said that his Charmander couldn't defeat even the weakest of opponents. That means the Charmander that defeated the Samurai's Pencer is not the same one Damien abandoned. Which means Damien is not one of the original Pallet Town trainers.
In Primape Goes Bananas, Professor Oak states that the otuer three trainers all passed through Celadon City and have 5 badges. This means that they defeated two other gym leaders after Misty's sisters, in addition to Erika. I'm fairly certain the girl in the intro is a sight gag left over from the Japanese opening, where she appears with Pikachu under her skirt to reference that Pokémon can be found everywhere, even "under that girl's skirt". Also, if Damien had a Pokédex, his 7th Pokémon would be transported back to Professor Oak automatically as soon as he caught it. It can be argued that he may have thrown away his Pokédex, which would presumably prevent this from happening. Another possibility, and my personal belief is that Damien is simply a braggart and that most of those Pokéballs are empty. It's not impossible that the girl in the intro was a cut character based on the girl cut from the games, however it seems unlikely that Bulbasaur belonged to her given that the aforementioned trainer got as far as at least Erika before giving up.
ironically even though ash was the last trainer out of the 4 trainers to leave pallet town he's the only 1 who never quits being a pokemon trainer as stated in both the episode showdown at the poke corral and this video the other 2 trainers besides ash and Gary both quit first due to a lack of skill and as stated by 1 of this videos earlier comments professor oak states to ash in primeapes debut episode that Gary and the other 2 trainers had 5 badges meaning the other 2 trainers at the very least obtained 5 badges before quitting.and after ash defeated Gary in the johto league Gary retires from being a trainer to become a pokemon researcher just like professor oak.
so just to get one thing out in the lyrics of the japanese intro the song starts with where to look for pokemon under rocks, in bushes and such and at the part where pikachu is running under that girl it says under a girls skirt (i was confused too) so i suppose its just some random girl who may or may not had pokemon under her skirt
The woman from the intro is the star student in the episode where they go to a pokemon academy, she beat misty with a gravler to prove a point, the type advantages are meaningless if there is a high enough level difference
In episode 8 of Pokémon Chronicles Proffesor Oak refers to Ash's Bulbasaur as "one of my old friends" or something of the sort so it's possible that Ash's Bulbasaur originally belonged to one of these two Pallet Town trainers though I still think it's far more likely that a trainer that started out long before Ash started his journey and originally got Bulbasaur from Proffessor Oak and at a later date abandoned it and that's why it seemed to hate humans so much when Ash originally met him with it probably taking quite a while for Bulbasaur to trust Melanie.
Since the manga came first, it could be green. After all the anime (doesn't fell right using that word) was ment to be based of manga, so they decided to cut green early, so they could go their own way. And we all know how that turned out. ^^
ProtoMario The girl was originally created for the original theme song ( or the Japanese pokémon theme song if u prefer ). The lyrics state at the point where this scene was taken '... I will follow u anywhere... up this girls skirt...' u can double check if u don't believe me.
Proto Mario? In the japenese version of the translates to "I'll go through flames, floods, weeds, forests, The soil, clouds, and under the skirt of the girl (scream)" So I believe that is where the girl came from. Because of the japenese lyrics translated to English
I remember watching a pokemon theorist do a video on who that girls is but sadly,I can't recall who.I don't remember any of the evidence.Just that he said that it was Daisy Oak,Gary's sister that never made her way into the anime.
After watching the Japanese opening the girl made a lot of sense to me. She's just a visual that represented the lyrics. Even if in fire, in water, in grass, in forests In ground, in clouds, in that girl's skirt (eek!) The girl was just a random girl put in the opening because of the lyrics.
Damian isn't one of the kids who picked a starter at pallet town because first ash didn't recognize him(ash was his neighbor for so many years in a small town) and second Brock didn't recognize him (it's proven that he beat the pewter gym and Brock should remember him since it happened so recently). It makes sense that misty didn't recognize him because she wasn't at her gym at that time.
i once wrote a fanfiction that told the story of the three other trainers besides red and green, from the pokemon yellow game. since Red get's pikachu in that game, and Green starts with eevee, there would have to have been three other trainers to take the actual starters. sadly the story is lost forever on a site that was taken down, but it was bad anyways.
@@theleonpasta7336 except nothing proves it and the burden of proof is on the believer.

I believe the woman is actually just a *Lass* from the original pokemon games... That's just what I've come across a few times! ^^
MANNY~EmberDim I do too
She is, all you need to do is look at the Lass sprite in gen 1.
+MANNY~EmberDim Most of us who played that 1st game know this, but dont tell the others.
Since she is a mystery it could be the ghost girl in x and y
Proto, the mystery woman reminds me of the girl in s1 ep9, at the school
I think the girl was there just for the Japanese intro as in the intro it says: ''and through that girl's skirt!''
I was looking through the comments to see if anyone new about the Japanese version of the intro, that could still be the trainer but more likely something for the intro
Louis_ finally someone know about it! but, I must say, it could be the coolest thing ever to see her in the emina as a real character.
Ur right
Yes I agree just like in other anime intros show fighting scene that never show up in the show Naruto being a good example
ProtoMario Here's a theory:

MIND BLOWN!!!!!!!!!
Jeekay Tenn I believe it was directed to the world of Ruby and Sapphire, the original ones, from what Zinnia says.
Jeekay Tenn Good theory, but Rayquaza destroyed it.
EagleZtoTheGrave Rayquaza destroyed the meteor in ORAS, and Rayquaza also destroyed the meteor in PMD... is there a connection?
guaymaster It's just a theory - a game theory!
I remembered seeing that girl in the opening credits back in '98. I just never gave a damn who she was and still don't.
Yeah, I just think that she's some random ass women that pikachu wanted to get a pussy peek from.
Rocky P Looooool.
Charlene Ingram if i recall correctly the line that's sang in Japanese translate to some thing alone the lines of threw/under the skirts of the world which made me remember her but the vid i got it from is a distant memory
+Rocky P She isnt that big of a mystery when you play the first pokemon games, she is actually rather common encounter.
You are incorrect on when they gave up. In Primeape Goes Bananas, Ash is telling Professor Oak that he just got his 4th badge and Professor Oak tells Ash that all 3 of the other trainers already have 5 badges.
Glad someone pointed this out
Protomario's theories is never late, nor is it early, it arrives precisely when he means to.

this channel deserves a whole lot more love and support cmon protomario keep up the great work!
The woman from the instruction book is Green/Leaf, she was redesigned and included in FRLG.
I always thought that the woman was Lass. Lass is a trainer you find all around the games early on and looks a lot like her.
Also i dare say her name would be green considering red has the fire type blue has water and green would have leaf. Good old colour coordination.
You say they comment about 4 trainers only happened once, but i think i remember a line where gary says to ash "You were 4th to leave pallet, but as a trainer you're dead last." There's so slight extra backing.

I believe the girl in the opening of the Anime is Gary Oaks sister. *Daisy Oak*
DerekTriForce she is
Maybe Daisy oak choose bulbasaur and Red choose charmander because Gary will choose the pokemon that is effective to red pokemon (Gary and Blue are same people)
DerekTriForce she's not.

In my opinion the girl in the intro was just the anime version of the lass from the video game, nothing special. Sometimes you can see anime version of trainer classes from the video game in the background. To me she is nothing more than a wink :)
I used to think that the third trainer was an anime version of the girl who was supposed to appear in the first games, "Blue", also know as "Leaf" since she appeared in GL/FR, but that we would never be able to see her.
I always thought that the M.W. was Daisy Oak
Thanks!
I assumed that the third trainer was the female pick is FR and LG
Proto can you do a theory on where the starter pokemon come from? I mean the only place you can catch them is the friend safari, but that's not really the wild and was introduced in generation 6. So where do the other professors get their starters?
I did read from somewhere a while back that the two missing trainers are John and Jack, which are default names when playing Red and Blue.
"She was cut so children would not be confused as to who she was".
Sounds ironic to me because with how much the anime breaks continuity, Pikachu's level reseting and somehow forgetting Volt Tackle, Ash forgetting a lot his own tactics/battle style when entering a new region and not seeing his old Pokemon more often, I'm more confused about the anime now than when I first started watching it.
what the hell is that sound at 1:20? It's like a snorlax singing a tune
sounds like a perfectly acceptable theory to me, good job.
Great theory! Can't wait for more!
One of my favorite theories you have even covered. I do not follow theories but this is a good one! And OMG HOW did I never notice that chick in the intro??????
Great theory :) I agree, shame the girl never appeared
ashs squirtles old trainer leaves squirtle and the other squitles who are the quritle squad
But Proto, Ash is in a coma
It's just a theory dumbass it may not be true
ProtoMario you forget something important in the episode 25 the one where Ash caught Primeape, prof Oak tell him at the begining that his every other rivals including Gary earn 5 badges each.
i guess the mystery trains were simply put so that ash could train harder maybe? as a challenge or something
I just have 1 problem with who the other to rivals were. You said that after the 3rd gym in the anime, they gave up, but when ash got his 4th badge. Prof. Oak said "really only 4, all your other rivals have 5".
The mystery girl is a COTD named Giselle. She appeared in an anime episode and she looked a little bit different, but it's her.
Proto, the episode where Ash gets his primate Oak states that the three head started trainers had 4 badges and the cut girl in intro was to be Daisy Oak.
That girl is only there as a part of a gag in the japanese opening theme where it coincides with the opening line of "Even if in fire, in water, in grass, in forests
In ground, in clouds, in that girl's skirt (eek!)" She has nothing to do with the show other than just as a joke that was lost on Western audiences due to the recut of the opening with a new theme song
Finally you tell us you are a wizard! I knew it all along.
Oak does mention the other trainers that were from pallet town one other time in an earlier episode when Ash caught Krabby.
Gamerboy3351 the girls name is Green not Blue lol
Omar A In the American version of the Manga, you are correct in that she is called Green, but she was named Blue (or whatever the Japanese word for blue is) in the Japanese version.
if you read the pokemon adventure manga the girl is named blue and the other boy is green Omar A
Omar A Here comes the confusingness.
I believed that the mystery woman was a personified version of Pikachu's voice actress.
Yes very true
It's not impossible that the girl in the intro was a cut character based on the girl cut from the games, however it seems unlikely that Bulbasaur belonged to her given that the aforementioned trainer got as far as at least Erika before giving up.
problem the charamander who beat the samari seemed to use ember a movie damian didnt know till the end of the episode
The mystery women is actually Garry oaks little sister but she was cut out of the anime but i forgot the reason why
ironically even though ash was the last trainer out of the 4 trainers to leave pallet town he's the only 1 who never quits being a pokemon trainer as stated in both the episode showdown at the poke corral and this video the other 2 trainers besides ash and Gary both quit first due to a lack of skill and as stated by 1 of this videos earlier comments professor oak states to ash in primeapes debut episode that Gary and the other 2 trainers had 5 badges meaning the other 2 trainers at the very least obtained 5 badges before quitting.and after ash defeated Gary in the johto league Gary retires from being a trainer to become a pokemon researcher just like professor oak.
ProtoMario In Season 1 Episode 25 Prof. Oak tells Ash that all the other trainers had all gotten 5 badges.
so just to get one thing out
in the lyrics of the japanese intro the song starts with where to look for pokemon
under rocks, in bushes and such
and at the part where pikachu is running under that girl it says under a girls skirt (i was confused too)
so i suppose its just some random girl who may or may not had pokemon under her skirt
The woman from the intro is the star student in the episode where they go to a pokemon academy, she beat misty with a gravler to prove a point, the type advantages are meaningless if there is a high enough level difference
The mystery girl is daisy oak, Gary's sister. It's mention in the manga. Green is not the same girl, green was the Squirtle starter
The Girl called "Green" looks like the Trainer in the first Pokemonmovie. She has the same Pokeballnecklace and a Turtose too
That girl is only there because of the Japanese intro. "Tsuchi no naka kumo no naka ano ko no SUKAATO no naka (Kyaa!)", "...under that girl's skirt",
I have the same theory for years now. Im glad to see other people thought the same
Proto Mario? In the japenese version of the translates to "I'll go through flames, floods, weeds, forests, The soil, clouds, and under the skirt of the girl (scream)" So I believe that is where the girl came from. Because of the japenese lyrics translated to English
I remember watching a pokemon theorist do a video on who that girls is but sadly,I can't recall who.I don't remember any of the evidence.Just that he said that it was Daisy Oak,Gary's sister that never made her way into the anime.
maybe the mystery woman is the ghost in X and Y in lumiose city
After watching the Japanese opening the girl made a lot of sense to me. She's just a visual that represented the lyrics.
Even if in fire, in water, in grass, in forests
In ground, in clouds, in that girl's skirt (eek!)
The girl was just a random girl put in the opening because of the lyrics.
