I figured out how to junk this system!! I replaced the low-beam bulbs with "LED-bulbs... 9006" manufactured by "Sylvania". The fit the housing adequately but not perfectly and are retained in place by the spring clips. The balasts were disconnected and thrown away (good ridance). I found a set of pigtails that fit the connector on the LED bulbs and tied that into the lead that connected to the balast. The connection should be black to black and red to yellow. I put the cover for the balast back on and everything worked great.
Those 2 connectors of the harness wire old vs. new had different insides. Not sure if that makes a difference and if each side is a little different with a different part number. Also just get a new headlights so this doesn’t happen again.
At exactly 35 seconds my passenger headlight turns off. I then just flick the switch off then back on again for the same lamp to be on. After 35 sec. it switches off again. I repeat this as I drive. Lol do is imply replace the lamp? Or is it a ballast replacement like you did in this video?
So my high beams on my is don't work and the headlights are wired to a toggle switch and wires are coming out of the fuse box it has wire nuts and all the wires are the same color would a bad ballast make the high beams not work the headlights are in need of a serious fix idk if it's over my head as I'm not a mechanic but I do have mechanical knowledge
I wanna buy an IS200, do you know if there's 2 separate housings for halogen and HID, or if i can just get any IS200 and fit a ballast and a D2R bulb in the housings?
ok.I going to replace the high beams, low beams, parking and day lights bulbs..... now I buy in Osram bulbs Hid 6000k ,only plug and play or I need buy the kit ?
My passenger HID is having issues. It will take a couple tries to get it turn on. However, when the engine starts the passenger side goes out. I would haft to try multiple times to be lucky enough to have both HIDs on while the engine is running.
The easy fix is a ballast going out. More complex would be a wiring issue. But I bet the striker in your ballast is having a problem. Sounds like when you lose 12 volts while starting the car, probably drops down to 9 ish the ballast is turning off. Have you checked your battery voltage and charging voltage as well?
Cuz we didn't need to. 🤷♂️. If you want to do all that extra stuff... go ahead. As long as the job is done and the problem is fixed, there is no wrong way.
That IS300 has a very non-stock headlight, there is no strap holding the headlight in with a stock, unmodified car. A stock IS300 has 2 nuts on the back of the headlight assembly, accessible from the wheel well that have to be removed.
@@JASONXMARIELA If it was mine. I'd replace both while its out if I had the extra $. I'd hate to throw a ballast on a old bulb and end up doing it again.

Link for the wiring?
Is it possible to replace the bulb without taking headlight out?

The Osram D2S bulb should be a direct fit. Shouldn't need anything else to install the new bulb if I remember correctly.
Looking to buy a pair of ballasts for my toyota altezza

Just to make sure, you need to lift the car up by driving up onto a ramp to help you get access to make this replacement? Thanks!
You could raise it with a jack and jack stand or find a curb your bumper can hang off off, if you don't have ramps.
Why not remove the entire bumper and plastic cover under the car for a cleaner look and better access to the headlight housing itself??

From what she says, its completely stock. But she was 2nd order.
@@ScottiesHobbies It's gotta be from the bodywork. Perhaps the bolt studs broke off the headlight housing when it was wrecked.
What about bulb
You definitely cannot do it without removing the whole headlight. Running the ballast wire thru the headlight would be impossible like you suggest.
💪👍. Good luck on your fix. Keep us posted on how it goes for ya. Either way. Its a pretty easy job if you have the patience. 👍👍
@@ScottiesHobbies yeah I think the hardest part is getting the headlight out after that. Now to find out if it's the bulb or the ballast or both

Very informative but your video style made me dizzy
The downside of not using a gimbal. I'm working on it.
Its okay there's always room for improvement.i'll be watching your upcoming videos..
Music sucks!!!
Thanks for tryin!! 👍💪
