Was a bit dismissive of the extra door seals when i saw them on another vid somewhere. Just did the uograde and they make a big difference. Dont care about the shutting noise but much less noise leaking into the cabin. Also makes an even bigger difference replacing old main door seals on older vans.

Great Vid Right about the 5 or 6 thing Might get dash trim seal for my Sprinter camper van which has a dash to screen rubber trim strip already fitted as standard but from the amount of debris found when I stripped out the dash great idea bad execution(it's a new one fitted by previous owner MB should be Made Bad 🙂 My old MK4 Golf Door seals are fitted in place of the original Sprinter door seals much better fit far quieter look better as inside trimmed in cloth & free
Just ordered the door seals following your review for Camper - code worked too when I copied and pasted. Hoping this purchase will help with the noise reduction for the new speaker I've just installed. Thanks
YES I do need the front window screen trim as trying to retrieve my National trust member ship card front DOWN the front with 2 little pieces of credit card, (without pushing it further down) was a bloody nightmare.

Regarding the Van X step, could you drill a neat little finger hole in the top so you can lift it off easier? Door and dash seals make a huge difference 👌🏼
Just bought a t5, the amount of crap I found down by the dashboard was ridiculous , pens, pencils, metal blades, drills etc. Guess what I'll be buying soon 😂
Those door seals you fitted. Have you had any issue with water entering them from the cut top or bottom ends? I fitted some yesterday and they do make a difference to the clanking doors and cuts down on road noise a bit. And YES .... I do own a Golf 😊

I think I'll put a small blob of silicone in both ends and a few choice holes to let air and any water escape. Hi I watched your video about installing the 10ltr hot water cylinder and being a heating engineer myself and planning to undertake a van build I wanted to know your thoughts on having two of those cylinders and fitting them in series hence 20ltrs of hot water!?!?, plus they do a 12v version I see.
Yeah that’s no problem at all. Although they do a 20 litre cylinder. So you will be paying twice. Benefit is. If you had them on delegate switches. You could choose to only heat 10 👍🏻

6: Go to town on the rust-proofing. I work on an endless stream of Transporters - there's seldom less than 3 in the yard at any time. All have rust. Get a load of rust treatment stuff - smother every part in it. Ideally before you have any rust. Prevention beats treatment every time. Rust proof your van - VW didn't.
@@chrisweston9764 chassis where the rear shocks mount, front crossmembers, under the sliding doors, blah blah - they go everywhere. Above & below the windscreens too.
Door seals work on the passenger side but I now have to slam the drivers door to get it to close. No good at all. And yes I fitted them as per the instructions.
@@urbanarkoverland just a bit of felt but my van was only a few months old. did manage to get it out a few months later because it moved. will be getting some of that trim now.
@UrbanArkOverland not really mate got to the bit about the door seals the first and turned it off. I'm on my 5 transporter do about 50k a yeah and keep them until the warranty is up. It's just like driving a golf/polo of a few years back wouldn't have another van. Only they have stopped making them.

Break Cleaner removes paint. Alcohol doesn’t.
I'd drill a 20mm hole in the door step storage to pop your finger in to open it up
