Very cool project, I've seen a couple of trucks run the Transfer case in reverse. They do quite well usually, as long as you don't mind the extra weight. Dodge in the early 90s made a 6 by 6 prototype using that method. Sometimes it's normal for the carrier bearing to be on the middle axle. Sometimes it helps with u joint angles. Now if anyone is a good machinist. It is possible to modify a transfer case to have three outputs. Very excited to see this thing out in bush🍻
I was considering converting my truck to 6x6 with an extra Rockwell axle... then I remembered in my jurisdiction I would require a class 3 license, same as a dumptruck to drive it... too much hassle.
@@DCCUSTOMSANDFABRICATION No, in my area anything with dual rear axles, is a class 3. Anything with more axles, or a class 3 pulling a trailer is class 1,like a transport truck.
I got my center differentials from a military junk yard they had 24 experimental trucks! The drive shaft went to the front differential then a drive shaft that came out to the front bumper into a pto box! I bought every one of the front center sections! Cut everything off to make them compact and easy to move and store! I get therear end shop to install the length of tubes for my build that I need! One drive line and not two! PLEASE DON'T CONTACT ME! NO I'M NOT SELLING ANY OF MY DIFFERENTIALS!
What's you tube about?!, not telling your secret!🤫🤔 thumbs down, fabricators like myself watch videos for the purpose of learning different building techniques and parts to use!!!
I bail when the "instructor" says; "this part is a secret".
Yeah that's a dick move

i think thats where i got the idea from a dodge transfer case I also seen a guy do the same with a Jeep
Question? Would the reverse transfer case need to be a 1:1 ratio in order to have the 2 rear axles going the same speed as the front axle? Thanks
yup its all 1:1
Hi mate what transfer case did you use for the rear drive great build maté unreal work
