Another cool interesting video. As a native Angeleno who is familiar with my city of angels very well, I appreciate the little nuggets of information like the bus stop on the freeway and knowing that those freeway ramp rails are being replaced.
I used to work at 1010 Wilshire just West of the 110 fwy so very familiar with all of DTLA Also worked near Pershing Square for a while too.
DTLA has been going through a renaissance for years now and it seems there is no end in sight. When i worked there in the mid 80s, DTLA would shut down after working hours during the week except for a few bars and some restaurants but not many. On the weekends it was a ghost town. Actually, all the action on the weekends was around Santee Alley. Back then it really was just a regular alley. 😊
On second thought, there was stuff going on on Broadway too. Now it seems the Latino businesses that used to be on Broadway are now on 12th Street. And Broadway is becoming more gentrified.
BTW, I was somewhat pleasantly shocked that I only saw a handful of homeless individuals in the whole video if that. That's amazing from one year ago when I drove around a lot of the same areas you walked in this video.
How's 6th Street doing West of the new viaduct in that respect? I remember after driving across the new viaduct within about a block or two West there were homeless encampments left and right on 6th.
Ive been to the Pantry dozens of times. In my younger days it was one of the few places open late at night in DTLA along with the Pacific Dining Car, the Atomic Cafe, and Gorky's. Alas Atomic Cafe and Gorky's are gone. Not sure about the Pacific Dining Car.
    Well done, and thanks.

Unfortunately 6th is a shit show between Los Angeles St and Central Ave. The area near bridge to the east is in good shape but skid row is unchanged. I avoid the area mostly but still occasionally cut through 5th/6th street to get home in my car. Any improvement in skid row is many years of hard work away from having any noticeable improvement.

@@mediaxpuppet I'm not surprised about 6th Street. But the areas of DTLA that you showed looked really good. Thanks.

Little editing kerfluffel. I think one of the earlier clips accidentally got pasted at the end. Thanks for pointing that out.
