Many ballerinas have been badly injured by that slide over the years: Harvey, Guillem, Cojocaru, Rojo, Cuthbertson... Luke Jennings even wrote an article about it suggesting the choreography should be modified.
@@MilkyWhite1 I'm pretty sure that if the alignment is even slightly off, or if the guy doesn't hold her up enough, the ballerina can jam her foot uncomfortably against the ground, then twisting it due to the momentum and her body weight
they did an amazing job and made it their own. their conection reminds me of Marianela and Federico´s conection, they also did the piece their own. love it just as much.
My favorite pas de deux done by my favorite ballet dancer Vadim Muntagirov. Sarah and Vadim dance so beautifully together.💗 Thank you so much. This has made my day!
Intense portrayal and so utterly musical. Looking forward to Hayward's Vetsera debut. To me, this superb actress/dancer is the uncrowned prima ballerina of the Royal Ballet.
It's an orchestral arrangement of an art song, Ouvre tes yeux bleus, by Massenet. This ballet's music is an assortment of pieces by Massenet, my fave by far is the version of an oratorio aria for the final pdd. Just beautiful music all around and so beautifully arranged!
So beautiful. That last slide she made badly injured her foot in 2008. There's an on-line video where she talks about it.
where is the video?

@@noblesetsentimentales It seems so simple. Do you know what about that slide causes so many injuries?

this is by far the most romantic ballet I've ever seen. Beautiful!
They portray love so beautifully...

0:38 How does that foot movement even work. It’s amazing.
Now that was a wonderful Manon! Kudos to Sarah Lamb and Vadim Montegirov for that performance!

Utterly beautiful , a joy to watch 🙏🏻
Never thought I’d say it, but I’ve come to prefer Sarah Lamb’s portrayal in this scene-she toggles so deftly between calculating and abandon.
I agree. This is her role.
Just marvelous! Thank you for posting!
Sure, it's one of my favourite versions of this pdd

The ballet is MUCH better than the book itself
Gracias por subirlo.
Es el baile de Romeo y Julieta verdad.?
Muy bello❤
No, it’s the ballet Manon, the bedroom pas de deux.

This is Sarah Lamb though.
How was Haywards Vetsera?
@@mariahcarey9470 out of this world. Such a well-thought-out portrayal. Starting out as a scheming girl and then so genuinely falling in love.
@@faun070 thanks for replying. Where did you watch it?

Jules Massenet wrote it.

4:26 really hate this move lol feels like something that should be in alice in wonderland
On the contrary i actually think that represents how playful they are romantically since theyre young. But valid opinion
