Awesome! And awesome video from you too! Really, I find these Pokémon competitors from the past fascinating. Nobody even tries to compete with Pokémon today.
Thank you for making all these videos! I'm glad someone else cares about this series so much! I wasn't sure if it was just my experience, but I thought the first game was awkward in battle and just awful as an RPG, and you ended up mentioning all the same reasons. Playing the Classics version allows you to skip battles (probably because they realized how unfair the difficulty was), but it's at the cost of butchering sound channel 3. It's a shame you didn't like Parts Collection, though! I love the idea of an entire additional game that acts as an add-on, kind of like DLC but without the sense of cutting content. MR3 Parts Collection is my favorite game in the series, though it might be because I don't like navigating the world and progression requirements in the main line. But MR1 Parts Collection is quite a drag sometimes. Time to watch the rest!
Thanks for watching! I found Parts Collection to be a good idea with questionable execution, but I did like the Medarot 3 Parts Collection so it's a shame that they dropped the idea.
Holy medaroli!, someone who is talking about medarot! 😍😍, thank you man, I was planning to buy on Ebay these games but the actual situation hit hard xD. I hope you stay safe ✌💪
The reason why both part collection games are the same is because the first one was a limited release (a lottery tied to the bonbon magazine I think), the second game was the public release.
I remember medabots. Along with Digimon, crayon Shin Chan and Flint the Time Detective it were the first anime series I watched as a kid in the 90's and early zeros before I even knew the definition of anime. This is not a joke I remember it like it was yesterday
That's funny, you must be from the Netherlands. I grew up with all of those as well before I even knew what anime was too. (I checked your profile and my gut feeling was right lol) Miss those times when TV wasn't shy of showing anime! Now the only surviving animes on Dutch TV are Pokémon and Inazuma Eleven as far as I know... Such a shame.
Okay so, the first version of medabots is basically pokemon with robots, but at the same time, which really is mind boggling to me, is the fact that before the GBA games came to Europe, they had a complete franchise even using medabots from what we in the western community know as the 2nd series of medabots, not to mention the games in japan would even go beyond those as their tiers would even go further... so... why is it they haven't released any of this here in the western world?
I really enjoyed the anime. I tried a couple of the games that came over to the west but I wasn't too fond of them. Oh well, still lots of good memories associated with the series.
i appreciate your review of this series, i like it . I've only played the rpg on gba and the gamecube game. I dont enjoy the battle system honestly. Its just very high rng, it felt like my 10 times completing it. Like how you said about the oneshotting the leaders.
Thanks. It's a fascinating series, but most of it being stuck in Japan really limits its audience. I'll cover the rest of the GB and GBA games at some point. Infinity and the DS/3DS games probably not, though.
It's genuinely amazing how ABYSMAL the combat is in this game. Like, it's actually impressive; for some reason they decided "the player should be a glorified spectator who has little to zero impact on the battle, and literally every battle should be determined ENTIRELY by RNG". I swear, video game developers are the dumbest people on the planet.
I was certain they must have copied some Game Freak code in the overworld, though I never disassembled it to see. But the battle system and customization are completely different from Pokemon!

I want the return of this series in the west...
I played the old Rokusho version on GBA, really good game. Badly underrated.
Thanks so much for talking about this game series! hope to see more discussion medabots

I love medabots especially the RPG version on gba

I'm amazed at how easily I'm able to recognize a fellow tuga based on the accent. But other than that, nice video!

Amazing review. Thank you
Great video! It's nice to see anyone talk about Medarot at all, let alone the actual games. Do you plan on covering more of the series?

Good enough to me! Looking forward to it whenever it happens :)
@@MerryBytesThat's a shame. Navi and 7 and my favorite Medarot games.
Very nice video!

Your voice makes it seem like you were disappointed In the game, you were hilarious in my point of view...
At 8:50 you had me dieing, you are classic my friend.
Thank you. I don't think I was disappointed, just baffled by some of these design decisions.
Holy shit it's straight up pokemon

No I need to get a DS
