Hey Laura, just sharing my top tips for keeping a leg elevated while working. Grab a cheap kids office chair and take off the back and you get a comfortable height-adjustable leg rest that's on wheels. Perfect to get comfortable while working. And for relaxing grab a beanbag - they conform to the shape of the leg and are so much better than pillows.

How fun! And so pretty! Statice is so easy to grow and keeps its color for a long time, the wreaths are beautiful! Years ago I had a very large basket that I placed in front of my fireplace to help hide the “ash hole” as I used to call it lol I grew Baby’s Breath and Statice to fill it and also added dried Hydrangeas! It was really pretty 🥰

I am so glad your mom is able to get out, I would be stir crazy if I had to have my leg elevated for a long time. I was on bed rest with my first child and I am a very outdoorsy active person who loves to garden too, so I was going crazy haha 😃

You mother is SUCH a sweet person and I do TOTALLY empathize with her situation. A few years back I experienced a terrible break on one of my ankles, it took a very long time to heal as I was in my mid sixties then. I had to stay off my feet for three months during which I thought I’d lose my mind-lol. Actually nothing about it was funny to say the least. I’m 70 now, I think your Mom must be in her 40’s. She is definitely a star! I am also a lefty and had a small widows peak when I was young. My daughter’s husband is active military, so she has spent several years living away from me. I do miss her company but I admire my son-in-law, he is a good man, husband and father, so I cope with it. She is my only daughter, my son isn’t well and does not interact with the family or myself. I always love watching the two of you sharing experiences together, it actually helps me cope. You are blessed, it’s wonderful to see! Thank You Both for sharing so generously 😊

I recently lost my Mom, very suddenly and unexpected. We had a relationship very similar to you and yours, my crafting buddy, partner in adventures and best friend. To be honest I wasn’t sure if I would be able to watch this video. But while hearing your laughter and joy, I found myself smiling. Thank you for sharing what seems like a small project or part of your day to day together. These are little moments that we really hold onto.

So fun watching you and your mom assemble these wreaths! Rumble, rumble! Rain? Summer here in SoCal has been filled with humidity, and we are not used to it as well. Alas, we haven't received any rain; only enough sprinkles to muddy up my unwashed car. The humidity along with over 90 degree temps limit me to only garden in early hours of a.m. or after 6 p.m. Though I only have shallow flower beds in back yard surrounding my pool, after seeing your harvest of statice, I'm seriously considering growing some! I miss making floral arrangements (silk with hand-wrapped stems) and if I could grow my own flowers that would cut the cost of purchasing them!
Your program is so inspirational as well as calmingly enjoyable to watch...what with frogs, and cats, and chickens and two toddlers in the mix!!!! So wish you did do landscape planning cause I'd hire you in a minute!!! PS: Love your use of stones in the South garden pathway/stepping stones. I use them along with small river rocks and sand to give my garden a beach-side theme and incorporate grasses, variegated society garlic, purple fountain grass, sea lavendar, some gerbera daisies, lavendar, rosemary as well as succulents!!! I live in SoCal zones 9-10 so I can't grow everything you do up there in high-desert Oregon nevertheless, I enjoy watching your "channel." Continue being blessed as you bless others!
PS: I'd join you and your mom for a class on making wreaths or a floral arrangement (with classical music in the background) if you offered them (and if I lived close by). LOL

The other day only 76 but 78% humidity so still just so uncomfortable. BUT my hibiscus bush thrives as do many other plants. You inspire me each day, thank you.
