I don't have plans as all tools are not alike. You can follow along and make these jigs according to your tools. Thank you for watching. ua-cam.com/video/Wfxa4WPEq1k/v-deo.htmlsi=BZU-ZqNefFSbnFkF
I have loooong pondered the perfect cheap white ivory replacement, but randomly as I am looking for segmenting tips I find that my solution was right in the window the whole time! I've tried holly veneer, Tagua nuts but nothing is as easy as normal holly. That is an awesome idea! You are a beast! I haven't done the super complex segments like this in a long time, but this makes me want to do them again. Maybe I should just switch to CA glue instead of wood glue for my joints. I just am afraid that its not as strong since I make the joints super small.
Glad I was able to help, I like using wood glue as well. I use CA glue most of the time just to speed up the process of segmenting. As long as you use activator and flood the blank a time or two when turning just to fill any voids you should be fine. Thanks for watching.
Off hand I don’t recall the number of teeth, however your correct it’s not as clean as the table saw but for a bandsaw the cut is as clean as I could imagine.
I just found your channel, your pens are beautiful. Do you have plans I can get to make your segment pen jig?

Thank you for showing how tedious it can be. Makes it more exciting dreaming up combinations. Certainly inspiring.
You're welcome, enjoy the process. Happy Thanksgiving.
AMAZING! I can't wait to upgrade from my Harbor Freight Table top band saw! Talk about crooked cuts!
Glad you liked the video

awesome blanks. cant wait for the turning.
How many teeth are on your bandsaw blade? I would imagine that the cut isn't nearly as clean as on the table saw?
