    preparing for PPL and this video is by far the most understandable and detailed. sometimes is not the material but the person giving it, thank you for the information.

    Another purpose of the magenta flags is that they are often found near towered airports and are preferred reporting points upon initial call to ATC. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more videos!

    This is an incredible help, thank you! I’m a private pilot in the UK and planning to come to Florida whenever COVID is over to hour build in the sun. Finding simply laid out information about the us charts and radio etc makes the preparation so much easier!

    Did my first VOR-based navigation (with years of flying X-Plane and MSFS, now just X-Plane 11) using complicated routes, and STARS and SIDS and the like.. never had done this before but took off from KOXC, Waterbury-Oxford Airport in Connecticut, my home airport, to get to KBDL, intercepted the right radial off the HFD VOR, then used about the 058 radial of the CMK VOR to get up to KBDL, Bradley International Airport , arriving perfectly aligned for Runway 6. (058 magnetic)..;.. it's fun. Don't normally fly props either but think it'd be better to get more experience flying manually rather than being a "child of the magenta" [line] all of the time heh. Anyway yeah. Thank you again for a great vid.

    One tiny criticism: please make your cursor LARGER so we can follow what you pointing to. I spent so much energy trying to figure out where you moved the cursor to, I lost a lot of info! That mouse can really fly, and you know where your going, but we don't. Other than that, the effort is much appreciated!

    I'm study for the Part 107 Remote Pilot and the amount of detail in your videos is overkill for that exam but you make it so damn easy that I just get absorbed in it. Your explanations are by far the best.

    Question I know you are using one area on the chart while discussing airways. What is T route and who uses it. I am not an IFR pilot. Don't remember any one ever discussing T routes during Sport or Private training. ie T 205, T 211, T 336 SW of Ocala & T 341 extending from Ocala Int'l KOCF

    Trying to learn this, when you point out about the Punta Gorda airport you said it was at about 59 minutes. Is it 60 minutes between a full degree in the lat/long?

    • @fly8ma.comflighttraining199

      Yes 60 minutes to a degree and of course then 60 seconds in each "minute"

    That is a new thing for me, 30 mins. You are saying each degree is one hour of flight? Wouldn't that depend on how fast you are traveling? Trying to figure out where you are getting this way of saying of map position.

    • @fly8ma.comflighttraining199

    • @fly8ma.comflighttraining199
      @fly8ma.comflighttraining199  Місяць тому

      The easiest way to understand this is each latitude is in succession. 81,82,83, etc. With that being said it was slightly to the right of 82 degrees LAT. So it would be 81degrees. As far as 59min. the small hash marks in between the latitudes total up to 60min. Hence 81 degrees 59minutes. The same applies to longitude. Hope this helps. All this is covered in our private pilot ground school. learn.fly8ma.com/courses/premium-private-pilot-ground-school/
