I just took the FAA 107 test on April 18th and got a score of 90. No online classes. I just studied every video I could find on UA-cam as well as reading various articles and recommended study guides. Don't bother trying to memorize online sample test questions. You need to learn why and how regulations are the way they are and how they apply to various scenarios. Out of 60 questions on the test only about 20% were covered in those videos and study guides. The test I took was made up of questions you could answer only by studying weather systems, METAR reports, sectional charts, airspace, and various regulations covering drones and some common sense.

Just read every word of every question and make sure you're understanding exactly what it is asking. There were a few questions I hadn't heard anything about, but there wasn't enough to fail me. You can skip questions you don't know and answer all the ones you do know, then come back to those so you don't run out of time. There's plenty of time I think. @Izzy-te8rx 2 роки тому +1

This is probably way late, but runways are determined based on a 360 degree circle. These runways numbers apply across all airports in the nation. Runway 13 is at 130 degrees. Runway 9 (90 degrees) is due east. Runway 18 (180 degrees) is due south. So in between that (130) would be south east.

When I got my Ham radio license the FCC had three Tiers of licensing, Technician, General and Advanced. Why couldn’t the FAA do the same with Drone licenses? After all, I would venture to say that majority of people that are making money using a Drone are forced to get a commercial license just because they are monetized on UA-cam. None of which would require them to learn most of the crap on the FAA’s Part 107 Test. Am I the only one who thinks that there are a bunch of power hungry Bureaucrats at the FAA who hate Drone operators, so they think that if we want to fly in their air space we should know how to land a 747 at LAX? Why not different Tiers of licensing for Drones? Basic, Commercial and Industrial. Why should the majority of people have to study for weeks, just so they can be monetized on UA-cam for posting Cinematic Drone Footage of their pets and the trees that they piss on? SMH
