I know you deal with WORD, but I'm writing a book on Open Office and was wondering if you know how to delete one word, the same word, throughout the same doc? I was writing "Mary Ann". I changed Mary to Maryann, but the remaining "Ann" is still there hundreds of times in the book. I want to delete them. Help if you can.
Hi Steve, I haven't used Open Office for a while, but you should be able to use Find and Replace to get this done. I made a video for Word on it, I'll post the video below. Open Office is similar to Word, so check to see if you can find it in there. Let me know if this helps: ua-cam.com/video/ISPRgB8hbeY/v-deo.html
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan , Find and replace is how I changed Mary (Ann) to Maryann, but now I still have to get rid of the remaining ANN. So I need to find and Delete.
I see, let's try something else. Use Find and Replace, but instead of typing in the Replace field, leave it blank. I think that should mass delete all instances of Ann.
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan, < I think I tried that but I'll try again. Do you think I should SELECT ALL first? or not. Thanks again btw. I've spent hrs Googling this. There has to be people like me that just want to delete one particular word. Smh

, I prefer not to manually delete the word ANN through 600+ pgs. Thanks for replying so fast btw!!!
