Thank you for doing these videos (as always!). As to future content, how 'bout a video on rebuilding various parts? For me, repairing the very expensive ACD pump and updating the throttle body seals are of interest. The idea is to cover common EVO things that break down but can be repaired. UA-cam is full of videos of various quality on these topics, but you tend to do an excellent job and handle the details very well.
Axle nuts are 32mm. I think I saw a caption that said 31mm in the video. What happened to your blue evo, Paul? I assume family stuff but never saw an explanation. I've been subscribed since you shot that video years ago. I have finally applied the lessons I've learned from your videos and others, and have my evo in pieces for a engine and transmission rebuild. I decided to take the steering crossmember out to do this job, and glad I did, makes removing the transmission and transfer much less of a chore. I also learned that if you have a 6 speed W6MAA, the service manual steps include taking the cross member off because the transmission is more bulky and is even more difficult to wiggle out of there. Thanks for your videos , Paul. They're still helping us out after all these years!
Thanks for the reply and for being an OG! ha. You are probably right with the 32mm. I used an American socket and my math must have been off in the conversion. I honestly never had much good luck with my old 05 Electric Blue evo. It was my least favorite evo to own. I originally made this t-case drop video because mine had a whine. I swapped in a used one that was suppose to be good but also had a death whine. Sold it after 1-2 years of owning it to a local friend. I've never owned a 6 speed, but i could see that being more a pain to drop/install. Perhaps i'll have one to document with someday. cheers!
How did you remove that tricky third top bolt mounting the TC? I watched both this video and your older one and cannot find how you removed it. I can get my fingers around the bolt but do not understand how you got a tool on it
Great videos!!! Thanks for sharing!! I have couple of questions for you on the ACD transfer case. When you remove the tail section, did you replace the o-ring seal? Can you still get this seal? I can't find any diagrams showing that seal so I can get the part #.
@@BoostedFilms sorry, i was asking about seal that goes between the tail section (the one you remove to make it easier to remove the transfer case) and the main body? I don't know how else to describe it.
Hi everybody My car got stuck and my mechanic is telling me that a seal between the ATF oil and gear oil (transfer) broke, the ATF oil leaked inside transfer and it fckd up everything. Is this possible? I can’t understand from the construction !
Hey so I just bought my dream car, an Evo 8 yesterday, and the only thing is that the ACD lights I know it’s a problem but I don’t know how to fix it, and when I turn the car on or off or just let it idle it’s fine only one light shows, but after about 1 to 2 minutes of driving they’ll all go on, any suggestions?
Boosted Films only in like first gear I can hear a slight whine from the transfer case, I thought that was normal for evos cause I’ve heard some other people with the same whine
You are probably the most consistent UA-camr of EVO content ever. Thank you very much.
If you havent seen him checkout Devon niemela
It's not easy to find videos of Evos these days, keep up the good work

Thanks for the upload👍
I have to do this in my driveway. I’m scared lol. I have a nasty leak I think it’s my transfer case seals between the transmission.

Typically that means your ACD pump is going bad. Does the car make any type of howling noise while driving?
