I was blessed with Paul's time some years ago. He truly was the one who got me into hobbyist mycology. He helped me design and build my home setup some 10 years ago, was always willing to answer fruitful questions, and is such a pleasant person to talk to in general. He is exactly the person you see online. His family are such good people

How does one go from focusing on the root cause of health issues using mushrooms to treating symptoms using mushrooms caused by synthetics? 🤔 Asking for a friend.

The response resulting from the synthetic, inflammation, is the general effect caused by almost all illness. It’s likely much more practical to test inflammation this way than by waiting patiently for someone to contract an illness and then measure the inflammation markers. You can then extrapolate these results to general illness and maybe even develop a conclusion as to how effective the mushroom is in treating symptoms of illness.

A sitter is more for dmt and salvia. Even then they're not completely necessary if you know what you're doing. Set and setting are key. If I'm tripping on mushrooms I don't want someone watching me asking how I'm feeling. I just want to be in nature alone and with music.
If you take a heroic dose, sure, maybe have someone in another room that you can yell for and bring you water and a sugary drink while you take off all of your clothes to prevent overheating and temporary paralyzation.
Psyches will certainly humlbe you. Anyone who believes they are exempt will learn... most likely repeatedly. I have learned much, and yet have much to learn.
I absolutely love that Paul Stamets is back on the show! I've been following his work for 20 years. It's absurd that more people haven't clued in to the monumental importance of his work, and mushrooms in general.
I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss this man. Funding for scientific studies is difficult to come by, and if he can publish studies that “legitimize” mushrooms as beneficial in any context it’s a good thing, even in the context of vaccines. No one is forcing you to consume anything you don’t wish to (yet).

Consider that people like you will take any shred of a hint of conspiracy and run with it. Potentially, for instance, not getting a vaccine that has objective, measurable effects on the entire population.

I’ve done the stamets stack for 30 days - cycling 4 days on and 3 days off. I was very strict about schedule and noting my daily observations. In this period I was also doing 20 mins of breathing exercises every morning.
Not only did I notice a change in my overall perspective of life, but also found new control over my decision making and a sense of clarity.
I also got better at tying my shoes too 😂

What was the exact amount of each compound you used personally?
@@libritarian foremost - amounts depend on the individual. So start small and increase in tiny increments. You’ll know when h over do it because you’ll be noticeably different to your loved ones 😂
For me:
• .1-.3 grams of powdered psilocybin mushrooms - this can be tricky if the mushroom you’re using has very potent to not very potent mass. The more bluish hue the more intense it can be. I added mine to tea, or spoon of honey, or coffee sometime but not too hot.
• 80-100 mg of niacin - now I preferred getting this via a B-Complex so it had all the B vitamins included.
• lions mane via extract or capsules, I found the extract to be more effective in my opinion but for the most part it was hard to tell difference between the two.
Yes on the mushrooms. No on the MRNA vaccines.

About a gram dose of cubensis annihilated depression and anxiety I'd been carrying around for months. I've taken psylocibin on and off for about thirty years. But I was still amazed at how it instantly got me out of a state of mind I saw no escape from.

I was married at Squire creek camp ground. My kids were raised camping there. I camped there several times every summer there. My grandmother was the caretaker, park ranger there for 27 years. Insurance is a huge scam. You pay all this money in and then when you need the insurance, the company tries to find every possible reason not to pay and to make the process as difficult as possible for the policy holder. I am a Washingtonian and grew up having Paul Stamets come to my schools for presentations about old growth forests and mushrooms.
Love this man! I never knew he was such a legend when I was a kid. We actually had a legend visiting our schools and we barely thought anything about it!

I know! I’ve been a big fan of Paul’s for 15 years. I’m having a hard time digesting his stance on the vaxx. It really took me by surprise. Kind of a heartbreaker to be honest with ya.

My gut is saying that he's the kind of guy to step aside and give his blessing for forced vaccinations as long as the science shows that it would be effective in saving lives.

I feel like this was more of sales show for Stamets' company than an intimate conversation like it was the first time around.
First time around was a sales pitch. Go back and listen to it.
This is all of Stamets talks. I saw him live once, it's gross. People are in love with mushrooms so they love him. Unfortunately he's not so pure.
He's a fraud. Only in it for the money. Don't listen to his wild health claims. He's not a legitimate scientist.

He has a company. He has poured most of his time and money into it and spearheaded many studies on effectiveness of mushrooms as a means of health. Why shouldn't he talk about it?
Id be interested in seeing that raw data. 90 or so patients is a pretty small sample. These studies are exploratory at best. It also doesnt address issues like fertility and longer term health issues. I dont think main reason people decided to not get the vaccine was because of the fear of short term inflamatory issues.
Sounds very suspicious. And all of that "studying" was started from a hunch basically, if i got that right at the beginning... And he makes big claims... enhancing both the efficacy and safety of the V sounds exactly like the selling point of the V itself.
"Very small sample size" based on what? Have you done the power calculation to infer the effect size and sample needed? Did you see the p value on the study screenshot? I'm betting not, Mr. Internet Statistician.
... yes, as he said and implied that they've gotta do a lot more research, but so far it looks promising. Basically anyone researching anything new and enjoying their job sounds like this.

Paul should include the visually impaired into one of his studies. Microdosing has an affect on the visual cortex of the blind, as I know from microdosing myself. It enhances perception of my surroundings, along with lowered anxiety. I literally can picture more around me with more accuracy and confidence.
Interesting I appreciate the anecdote. Look into Chaga as well. The Melanin will help with macular degeneration and I believe will help overall vision.
