Disturbed Are You Ready Reactions
Does anyone else just have hundreds of songs you wanna request but feel you shouldnt because of how many he already has
Oh yes! I requested a lot at the beginning, and it's like now i don't wanna add to the busy dude's list.
Also the people in this particular channel tend to throw out amazing suggestions anyway.
@@NecroericUA-cam i do agree that if he listens to something i know passionately, i get really into it.
me haha but I'm being patient. It's his channel anyways. Though I did find his channel through his review of the new Liquid Tension Experiment song, so I was kind of expecting him to do more music like that. It would help me find more of that kind of stuff too.
Can confirm
"synthetics...drugs are bad" lol. Love this album
david draimen truly has a very rare yet well managed talent within his voice ... his range and control are sublime and it seems no matter the style he can do it and do it really well
My introduction to Disturbed was Down with the Sickness, and I've loved them since then. Some of their newer songs are very positive and uplifting, and I absolutely love how they have evolved, yet they are still the same Disturbed that I loved back when I first heard them.
Disturbed has low-key been one of my favorite bands for 10+ years. Indestructible is such a damn solid record!
Me too >10 years, and Indestructible was my first Disturbed song and album, and it's been a sweet love affair ever since.
100% high key fan since I heard Down With the Sickness. They're my number 1. Saw them live in 2018 and cried pretty much through their entire set. David/Disturbed is so absolutely amazing live. If you get the chance, GO!!
If I had to pick a favorite it'd definitely be believe. Great track after great track! Can't really get into their later stuff (past Indestructible).
I have been a fan since day one. No doubt they’re my number one! Saw them earlier this year for the first time. Husband, daughter, and I drove 13 hours to see them play The Lunatic Luau in Virginia Beach. They were phenomenal! I would totally do it again!!!
I would highly recommend Disturbed Prayer it definitely allows David to show the amazing range he is blessed with, I feel his heritage plays a deep part in his mastery of his pitch timber and range
The vengeful one by disturbed is also a good one
Agreed
Gotta watch the video though so powerful.
Any cover Disturbed has done is great. I love the song, "The Light". It is a go to song when I'm feeling down
I'm still here! Disturbed recommendations: Overburdened, Prayer, Guarded, and Stricken.
Surely recommend Stricken. It's one of their best combination of melody, harmony, rhythm and lyrics. A must see.
The light .....or ....hold onto the memories by Distrubed are beautifully done!
Biggest takeaway from this, or really any Disturbed song, is the amazing range they show with their cover of Sound of Silence. Like their other works or don't, but you can't really question their raw, pure musical talent.
Don't forget"Land of Confusion".
@derp derpin It's because they sold out for a wider audience and their base fans moved on.
@derp derpin referring to Dan Donegan as substandard immediately you lose all credibility... that man is absolutely amazing.. Disturbed is a band where all members are 100
Look at you, over 100k!!! So cool!!
They don't have a dedicated keyboard player. The guitarist programs all the elctronics and is a big part of Disturbed's soundscape.
Disturbed are never lazy. The chorus is usually subtly different each time as the song progresses, keeping your ears twitching.
Must listen to Into the Fire!!!! I love anything they do. Thanks for the video!!
David Draiman's voice has changed over the years, he needed to have surgery at one point. It'd be interesting to see what you think of stuff from their first album vs this song which is from their most recent.
His voice sounds the same on every record. He has one of the most identifiable voices in music period.
Oh man Disturbed was my favourite band for the longest time, I'm a big big fan of all their work. My personal top song is Haunted off the Indestructible album although that whole album is really good. Torn is another amazing song with that has the best guitar solo of all their songs. David had bad Acid Reflux which damaged his vocal folds, he had surgery to repair them around 2009-2010 (So yes the Sound of Silence cover was after he'd had throat surgery!)
50 year old women, been following David Draiman and Disturbed from the start. Fav Songs. Prayer, Sons of Plunder, Pain Redefined, Hold on to Memories along with all the songs that got real air time. I find them as a who dynamic and Draimans true baritone voice enjoyable. One of the few Groups that I have bothered to buy every physical Cd they have put out. I don't even own a CD player any more, but I will still by the hard CD.
This video is sparking an interest in music for me. At the ripe old age of 41 I am finally in a space where I think I may be able to let music into my life. Up until this point I have never been moved by music. Music was just something that happened around me, like the background track of a sitcom. I think it is time to open myself up and see where this can go and I am drawn to do that with Disturbed. Time to look up some playlists and see where this ride takes me. Thanks so much for what you do.
I feel like you'd enjoy "Overburdened" by Disturbed.
That would be a fantastic song for him to try out. Really hits hard with a good mix of powerful Disturbed sound, and radio/single friendly production effects.
My favorite!
Favorite album is Indestructible, but of all the Disturbed songs i really love Overburdened the most.
YES, YES, YES
Overburdened is a metal masterpiece compared to the poprocks they put out with Evolution. Hey @KeyofGeebz, listen to older Disturbed stuff, before they sold out and became generic and lost half their fans.
Disturbed have a very solid pattern across most of their work, but they’re extremely creative and inventive with every album. I personally don’t think you can go wrong with any selection. Personal favorites are from the albums “Asylum” and “Indestructible,” but again their songs have been great for their whole history pretty much.
One thing of note is that as a member of the “hard rock” genre, they have identified that shreddy guitar solos are somewhat a thing of the past. So they tastefully include those as much as possible which sets them apart from a lot of the radio-friendly hard rock bands of the last 20 years.
YOU'RE GREAT. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
The remix of this song is soooo good
I'm glad that you did this track because I feel like it's a horribly under appreciated track. Not my favorite Distubed but the pacing/tempo/I-don't-know-terms has always blown me away (it's a power gym track). I can't actually give a "favorite" Distubed track though because I can just drown in that voice any time and the instrumentals are used in such a powerful way.
As far as Disturbed goes, I always loved "Prayer" and another cover "Land of Confusion". Those would be my suggestions, but I honestly feel like I don't want to give you more recommendations in fear of burn out. You have so much fun doing these and I love seeing the joy of you experiencing something new. Still here man!
Aloha! Thanks for keeping busy and keeping us entertained, bud! I was such a disturbed hater for so long until i learned how to appreciate music for what it is. I'm glad i gave them another chance because they've got some great tunes. Good to work to! Love your camo theme dude!
I love how you get them so well. ❤ Now you know why they’re my number one!!!!
💛💚💙Another awesome band with a soul!!!💜❤🧡
Band: Shinedown
1st song: How Did You Love (release 2015)
2nd song: Monsters (release 2019)
‐A little FYI:
"How Did You Love is about understanding and respecting your own mortality. Not in a morbid, negative way, but in a way that inspires you to live each day to its fullest and without regret, especially when it comes to your relationships and your individuality. You need to be at peace and proud when you look back and ask yourself, 'how did you love?'" -Brent Smith
"Everyone who knows a bit of my background with regard to substance abuse and alcoholism knows that I've battled with it. It's something I deal with on a daily basis. I've always been very honest about it, which is that I didn't do drugs today - and I didn't drink today - but I don't know what I'll do tomorrow, because I literally have to take it day by day. I never went to rehab, I didn't do a 12-step programme, and I don't talk about sobriety unless I'm asked about it. Even then, I don't spend much time on it because I literally live my life day by day. That's how I have to do it, but the dynamic in the song is not just about substance abuse. It's about a lot of different situations that people get put in because they have things in their mind that - for whatever reason - they used to sabotage themselves. They don't know why they do it, but they do it, and these are the monsters that I'm talking about: those voices that say, 'I know this is going to be really fucked up after it's over with, but let's do it anyway.' That's the sentiment in the song, when I sing that 'my monsters are real and they're trained to kill.'" -Brent Smith
Please tell me that. Coheed and Cambria “Welcome Home” is coming in this new batch. I need to see your reaction to a very underrated band. The story behind the albums are awesome!
If you haven't heard it yet, Disturbed's "Reason to Fight" is another totally different type of recording for them. Its such a beautiful song.
The Night by Disturbed is my favorite by them.
STRAPPING YOUNG LAD!!!
Still having fun watching your reactions. Hope you're still enjoying doing them!
This sounds a lot like 'Down with the Sickness'. Disturbed did a great cover of 'Land of Confusion' by Genesis.
Great break down, what a voice!
My sister loves loves loves Disturbed, her suggestion is Inside the Fire.
I feel bad for saying this, but I think it needs to be said. This song sounds like what the label wants them to be, vs what THEY want to be.
Yeah, that definitely happens sometimes with bands. They strike upon something that ends up being a hit, in their case I’d say indestructible was something pretty big. It was on the radio for freakin ever. And ever since then they have to have some recognizable flavor from that hit in their music
Yeah it sounds very phoned in and Over produced.
My fist thought was this is as edgy as a tangerine.
Yeah this is the definition of a filler track for them. IIRC they did a bunch of adventurous stuff on this album and this song is probably exactly the sound of the label shitting their pants.
Still getting down to it sometimes.. Guilty.
I hope Kamelot is on you list. The epic song Elizabeth parts I, II & III tells the story of the Blood Countess Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed
Congrats on 100k! Definitely one of the most relatable and genuine people I’ve found on UA-cam.
This was awesome. I love this song. Now I better understand why I love this song. I look forward to poking around your channel a lot more.
shout 2000 is another amazing cover of theirs ! well worth a look ... fits well between this an sounds of silence !
Ha! I love your sense of humor! Still here!
johny cash also covered sound garden, rusty cage... and another gem is colter wall, the devil wears a suit and tie... and, the band of heathens, hurricane...
Lmao "come in with the people's elbow of vocals" very illustrative
I'm pretty sure you were at 100k subs the day before yesterday. Great growth, dude! As always, awesome video.
Super dooper cool beans!!!!! Thank you for that. :) Your time is the same as my time....haven't heard that alot since way back in high school. Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. Cool beans, dude. Aloha
Dropping plates, Voices, Want, Stricken, Remember....and so many more.
I haven't heard Disturbed's music since Ten Thousand Fists in 2005, save the cover of Sound of Silence. It's amazing how consistent they are: driving guitars and rhythmic vocals, with higher sustained notes at the end of phrases. This song has all of that distinct stuff that makes the band who they are. I liked their album Believe a lot, especially the songs Prayer and Darkness. Those songs meant a lot to me as a rejected, bullied counter-culture teenager at a private religious school.
Kamelot - Memento Mori
Dream Theater - Space Dye Vest
Dream Theater - Take the Time
Scar Symmetry - Holographic Universe
Soilwork - Death in General
Well am still here... and Then must say Disturbed has 'unique sound' and D. Draiman lyrics are a force to reckon, as for performance vocals well that's another animal.
Run the the video how you like. Your channel, make it how you want. We came here for you and your perspective.
I did not like them when they were popular in 2000-s, but their two recent albums are great!
Disturbed are a really strong group, super inventive and accessible. All of their albums are great, but this one and their second most recent hiatus-breaker "Immortalized" feel a little more over-produced and formulaic. "Asylum" is probably a peak example of their creativity in that alt metal pocket (Another Way to Die, Crucified, The Animal, Sacrifice, whole album bangs). Other great tracks:
- The Game
- Prayer
- Guarded
- The Night
- The Curse
The night. The night. The night.
I'm so glad you pick the best of the best
I know it is another cover but one of my favorites Disturbed has done is Land of Confusion. A cover of the Genesis Song
Sup GeebZ. ALOHA. Stay well brother!
Love the Honu pillows in the background!
when you're ready to circle back around front, here's a direction most won't take you.
But it's a 6 hour piece...

STAGE 1 : 00:00:00
Here we experience the first signs of memory loss. This stage is most like a beautiful daydream.
The glory of old age and recollection. The last of the great days.
00:00:00 - A1 - It's just a burning memory
00:03:32 - A2 - We don't have many days
00:07:02 - A3 - Late afternoon drifting
00:10:38 - A4 - Childishly fresh eyes
00:13:36 - A5 - Slightly bewildered
00:15:38 - A6 - Things that are beautiful and transient
00:20:12 - B1 - All that follows is true
00:23:44 - B2 - An autumnal equinox
00:26:31 - B3 - Quiet internal rebellions
00:30:02 - B4 - The loves of my entire life
00:34:06 - B5 - Into each others eyes
00:38:42 - B6 - My heart will stop in joy
STAGE 2 : 00:41:22
The second stage is the self realisation and awareness that something is wrong with a refusal to accept that. More effort is made to remember so memories can be more long form with a little more deterioration in quality. The overall personal mood is generally lower than the first stage and at a point before confusion starts setting in.
00:41:22 - C1 - A losing battle is raging
00:46:01 - C2 - Misplaced in time
00:50:44 - C3 - What does it matter how my heart breaks
00:53:22 - C4 - Glimpses of hope in trying times
00:58:06 - C5 - Surrendering to despair
01:03:09 - D1 - I still feel as though I am me
01:07:17 - D2 - Quiet dusk coming early
01:10:54 - D3 - Last moments of pure recall
01:14:47 - D4 - Denial unravelling
01:19:02 - D5 - The way ahead feels lonely
STAGE 3 : 01:23:17
Here we are presented with some of the last coherent memories before confusion fully rolls in and the grey mists form and fade away. Finest moments have been remembered, the musical flow in places is more confused and tangled. As we progress some singular memories become more disturbed, isolated, broken and distant. These are the last embers of awareness before we enter the post awareness stages.
01:23:17 - E1 - Back there Benjamin
01:27:33 - E2 - And heart breaks
01:31:38 - E3 - Hidden sea buried deep
01:32:59 - E4 - Libet's all joyful camaraderie
01:36:12 - E5 - To the minimal great hidden
01:37:53 - E6 - Sublime beyond loss
01:40:03 - E7 - Bewildered in other eyes
01:41:55 - E8 - Long term dusk glimpses
01:45:29 - F1 - Gradations of arms length
01:47:00 - F2 - Drifting time misplaced
01:51:16 - F3 - Internal bewildered World
01:54:45 - F4 - Burning despair does ache
01:57:22 - F5 - Aching cavern without lucidity
01:58:41 - F6 - An empty bliss beyond this World
02:02:19 - F7 - Libet delay
02:06:15 - F8 - Mournful cameraderie
STAGE 4 : 02:08:53
Post-Awareness Stage 4 is where serenity and the ability to recall singular memories gives way to confusions and horror. It's the beginning of an eventual process where all memories begin to become more fluid through entanglements, repetition and rupture.
02:08:53 - G1 - Stage 4 Post Awareness Confusions
02:31:02 - H1 - Stage 4 Post Awareness Confusions
02:52:55 - I1 - Stage 4 Temporary Bliss State
03:13:58 - J1 - Stage 4 Post Awareness Confusions
STAGE 5 : 03:36:12
Post-Awareness Stage 5 confusions and horror. More extreme entanglements, repetition and rupture can give way to calmer moments. The unfamiliar may sound and feel familiar.
Time is often spent only in the moment leading to isolation.
03:36:12 - K1 - Stage 5 Advanced plaque entanglements
03:58:49 - L1 - Stage 5 Advanced plaque entanglements
04:21:37 - M1 - Stage 5 Synapse retrogenesis
04:42:25 - N1 - Stage 5 Sudden time regression into isolation
STAGE 6 : 05:04:32
Post-Awareness Stage 6 is without description.
05:04:32 - O1 - Stage 6 A confusion so thick you forget forgetting
05:26:25 - P1 - Stage 6 A brutal bliss beyond this empty defeat
05:48:02 - Q1 - Stage 6 Long decline is over
06:09:12 - R1 - Stage 6 Place in the World fades away
Into the Fire is a powerful song and video that you should listen to and watch..
"decadence" is a must listen. its one of their best songs ever, besides their first album
Just discovered this by pure accident. Love your breakdown without stopping every 2 seconds!
Once again my friend...thanks for the break downs. One of my favorites by Disturbed is Prayer. If you catch the lyrics ...at least the chorus you will understand... music is how I pray...🎶🙏
The guitarist Dan does all the keyboard and digital FX
Great news. frost* just announced a new album about to be released. Their first in 5 years of silence. Yessss. Milliontown was their first ever album. Powerfull stuff. Find out. Release date March 14, 2021
You should react to Uninvited Guest from Disturbed.
Another great analysis🤙
Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, breakdown, chorusx2, outro... every damn track. And 20+ years later they're still using the same formula. I respect a band with that much staying power and plaques on their wall. Thanks Geebz!
Great choice of song, i appreciate the videos you put out! If youre gonna do any more disturbed in the future you can literally pick any song, they dont have many bad ones if any at all
A couple suggestions from Disturbed are Remember and The Night. Love your stuff!
The vengefull one is a pretty perfect song.
Awwwwwright!!!
Puscifer - potions on the recycle
ELDER. Dead roots stirring. - epic.
I am still here looking for the one
Really appreciate that you're reacting to different songs than other UA-cam channels.
Listen to myles Kennedy from alter bridge with “watch over you” acoustic for billboard,or any shinedown song.you won’t be disappointed
You're a natural teacher, man. I've been with you since the very first reaction. I saw tool and composer together, and had to check it out. Too cool watching your channel grow. Congrats! I would absolutely love to see your take on Neurosis. If you do, check out Locust Star live at Ozzfest. Blew me away the first time I watched and listened.
I expect to hear this as the opening of every Disturbed show for the rest of time. Which is OK.
You need to check out Sevendust. Splinter is a good start, the entire album Next is amazing, especially Pieces. It’s one of those groups where it’s impossible to pick their best song, they have so many amazing tracks. Saw them in show many times, once even with Disturbed, and they owned it. Their live performances are absolutely amazing, puts everyone else to shame
Hope you're having a great day.
The solo from the song _Torn_ from Disturbed is one of my favorite guitar segments of all time.
Would love to see you do a vid on that, or something crazy like _Stupify_ or _Ten Thousand Fists._
I really love the cover of "If I ever loose my faith in you" by Disturbed. Its also really great
Great reaction! Check out the prayer, stricken, the night, what are you waiting for, never wrong and save our last goodbye
I really enjoy your reactions. I think you would enjoy Disturbeds reason to fight.
That said... I also have a suggestion for another band, Sabaton. They are a swedish metalband that makes music about historical events such as war and heroism.
I would love to see you break down Solitaire Unraveling by Mushroomhead. I have loved this song for over 20 years and wish there were so many more reactions to it.
Dude, DEVIN TOWNSEND. You need to check out Devin Townsend. Specifically, look for "Kingdom" with EMG and check that video out. That is purely Devy, in all her personality, uniqueness, and charm. 4 songs that are a must-listen after Kingdom are:
Why?
Deadhead (Live at Royal Albert Hall ONLY!)
Stormbending
last is a trio: Funeral, Bastard, & The Death of Music. Look for the video by Jordan Lynch, and don't be surprised if you have to split it up, it's 24 minutes long. But DO listen to them in order, otherwise the energy of the song doesn't come out right. Those three songs alone will turn you into a Devy fan!
I agree with indestructible also listen to their cover of land of confusion awesome
If you want songs that are on the level of their sound of silence cover I recommend Prayer, The Light, Immortalized, I'm alive, and perfect insanity. Long time disturbed fan, new fan of yours.
Can I suggest Carnival of Rust by Poets of the Fall. It's a masterwork from a great but not well known (at least in America) band.
I've been enjoying your videos! If you do more Disturbed I'd recommend Ten Thousand Fists 👊😎
disturbed-reason to fight would be cool to watch a reaction of, and watch the official live video if you watch it, very emotional, singing about addiction and suicide issues, it is a must see of disturbed in my opinion:)
If you're doing Disturbed, you gotta cover Remember, off their Believe album, one of their best by far.
Next round of Opeth needs to be The Drapery Falls at Royal Albert Hall!
Hold on to memories is also a really good song by disturbed
Geebz, I feel for you as someone who can also hear all the layering, effects and elements used to create the sound. I however don't think it diminishes the enjoyment I get from the track, if anything it increases it. Hearing all the little pieces that add up to a great track is what gets me excited about music as a musician.
My man needs to react to some ERRA. That stuff gets so complicated and I think he will love it!
Inside the Fire - Disturbed
LEPROUS - THE SKY IS RED
I would request but love anyway that you're willing to day. Thanks my FRIEND!!
Great reaction! I highly recommend the song "The Light" by Disturbed, one of the top three by far by my favorite band
