These kids are out of their elements. As a metal head and someone who has struggled with severe anxiety and depression, I relate to this band. As a matter of fact they are a favorite.

I first heard Breaking Benjamin and Linkin Park when I was like 6 or 7. Whenever i was 12 or 13 I started listening to Slipknot, System of a Down, Metallica, Pantera, Whitechapel. Now I am 15 listening to All previous bands I listed and now including Korn, Silent Planet, and some Christian metalcore and deathcore bands. My brothers definitely influenced my music taste, and metal/rock is such a good outlet for me, and I will never regret listening to the music that I now listen to, despite what my peers say at my school.

Okay, there need to be more kids like the boy in the blue shirt. I can tell that that kid appreciates multiple genres/styles of music, he feels the music which I think is awesome.
I’m 13, my dad has showed me bands like disturbed and chevelle, and wow! They are amazing! I’ve been a fan for a year or two now. That jake kid is a legend.
This is what you get when you have A generation of kids who have never been exposed to rock music of any kind, and where they think female-driven pop music is the only kind of music there is. We rock/metal lovers love the genre for the instrumentation just as much as anything else. The vocals are just an afterthought sometimes.

Kids weren't a good choice for disturbed, they don't understand half of what they see and none of them could fathom how amazing the lead singers voice is and how great the band is.
Down with the sickness is probably their most vocally brutal song ever. I love it, personally. Listening to metal is how I keep myself only imagining crushing the skulls of the people who wrong me with my bare hands, as opposed to actually doing it. That, and manslaughter is a serious offense. (I speak in jest, of course.)

Great thing about Disturbed is, they are the nicest guys you will ever meet. Always left huge tips at the Olive Garden I worked at. I knew them through the music scene in Chicago, and they practiced at the same place many of my friends did. Fun fact, that place got robbed when Disturbed first started hitting it big, and they helped the other bands in that space get new music equipment.
I agree. The first time I heard of this band was in 2017 (yes, I’m a post sound of silence fan, so sue me, lol 😂), and naturally I went on UA-cam to check them out. I saw loads of videos of David going off on some audience or being generally angry, also in pictures. “Wow, wouldn’t want to meet that guy in a dark alley.” Was all I could think. Well, fast forward to 2019, when they gave a concert in Amsterdam and I managed to score meet and greet tickets…wow! What an experience that was… they were so down to earth, so sweet and nice and nothing like I’d imagined before meeting them. They’re just a bunch of fluffy, squishy, adorable jellybeans ♥️🥰❤️.

Kids today for you. As a teenager virtually everyone would be sat on the school bus with headphones in, cassette tapes or CDs playing. Hoodies, Skateboards....I feel like we have dropped several IQ points in the past 35 years.

“They have piercings all over their face.” This was a huge reason I volunteered at my kids school a lot. Even Volunteered with Girl Scouts. I wanted kids to understand that having multiple facial piercings (I have 10) doesn’t make you a bad person, just different, and they shouldn’t be scared of us.
I'm three years late to this video but someone needs to explain to these kids that Disturbed are some of the most attentive band members when it comes mental health and encouraging overcoming adversity.
Glad the kids all had a positive reaction because this band has helped a lot of people find peace in life.

If I did this at 8-9 years old, everyone would’ve been laughing at me. I used to come home from like third grade, and put on my brothers albums everyday until he got home and yelled at me to get out of his room. I had two favorite albums. So, as an 8-9 year old, I would come home and take my afternoon nap to Diary of a Madman or Blizzard of Oz. I would be throwing up rock horns and singing along. P.S. my son hijacked my account. I’m a 49 year old mom, who just saw Disturbed on August 5th with my hubby and youngest son. Fantastic concert. 🤘🤘
