Disagree on the quality appearance. All parts are very solid and well-built. The „battleship“ grey looks ugly, but not particularly cheap for a kitchen appliance.
The inner parts (bowl, rack) can easily be cleaned in a dishwasher, while the ventilation gets as dirty as it gets on most airfryers - it’s just more noticeable because you can directly look at it while e.g. Philips or Cosori airfryers hide these parts.
It’s a great airfryer and Steamer with the added bonus of the „speedi meals“ which I use twice a week.
    I’m a very happy customer 👍

the coating is actually premium and superior to most other air fryers on the market being ceramic and not teflon. It is the reason i bought ninja.

Ninja has other models that has ceramic, but this model does not mention anything about having a ceramic coating.

@@LucidProductReviews A: The speedi is aluminum with a nonstick nano-ceramic coating that is FDA approved and food safe. All ninja products are ceramic - that is their thing.

390 F is high for such thin pieces of chicken. I cooked my chicken at 350 F for 15 min and it was juicy and perfectly cooked.

    • @LucidProductReviews

We went with 390F because it was mentioned in their recipe book. But yes, they are not all the same size. Thanks for the tip!

I mean as for quality it doesn't look cheap as i have one lol. Aslo if you need to clean inside of the top lid properly im sure it can be done by unscrewing the screws.

I had similar experience when cooking rice in the speedi. I’ve actually put my Speedi in the cabinet in favor of the Ninja Foodi with smart lid. I don’t think the Speedi can do anything the Foodi can’t do. And my rice is always perfect when pressure cooked in the Foodi. Speedi is just a gimmick to me.

You opened the top before it was done let out all the steam the speedi function traps extra water vapour to cook with steam.

It's a balance between getting the timing right for the chicken and the rice. It takes practice.

You screw up on rice when you never check on when you removed chicken, but on the other hand I never could make a rice in it my self. Never comes out no matter how I try to make it. 😢😢😢😢

I've found that to get the best out of appliances like this requires some hands on time to learn how to use it, just like a new car.
I'm picking one up tomorrow. I'm curious to see how useful it actually is.

@@zachariahrussell7250 Great as an air frier and I also used the steam/crisp mode on a whole 5.5 lb. chicken. Turned out great in about 45 minutes. Haven't made any "speedy meals" yet.

I like it my self but for rice. No matter what I do rice never comes out. So I got my self a Bear 3 cups pressure rice cooker just for rice plus you can do some other stuff in it. But for rest I'm using Speedi and I love it.

Not sure if that would help as the bottom of the rice was already mushy even though the top was dry. It might had been the type of rice that we were using.

I Cooked chicken rice… impressed. You do need to learn how to cook in this device though. Especially dice rice us less forgiving
Rice isn’t as fool proof as a rice cooker.
    Also ways temp check meat
The rice top was a bit crispy in mine too. I think you need to stir half way to be honest when you cook rice
