- Type R Spoiler installation, the easiest way! This is my second installation of the spoiler. First, I did it on my 2016 Civic Sedan. This time it's the Hatchback. Ive watch other installation on youtube but I can say that my way is the easiest procedure. Thanks for watching.

WOW!! THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO IVE SEEN. i been trying for 2 weeks on how to properly put that same spoiler i bought on my car and every single video either doesn't tell what all tools u need or isnt specific enough on drilling the holes so u dont F up my paint. i went to a shop and the wanted to charge me $1,200 for a job that looks like in can be done in under a hour with my brother holding the spoiler for me. The cleanest and fastest install. I've seen 7 videos on this. He uses his brain and doesnt hack up the trunk for hole exposure He used a swivel ❤❤

Hey buddy, i saw another video where the guys drillednout the holes where the bolts goes in.. did you do that too or would u say no to doing that?
Okay now I need to find 2 people to hold it while I bolt it and it's gonna be hard to aim for the hole. Is there an easier way?
Daughter made me put this on her car. It was a total pain in the arse, but it looks good afterward. I had to make some cuts inside trunk edge for hole exposure.

I know I’m late here. I’m struggling to get the second screw in place. The trunk is just in the way even with the adjustable socket wrench. Did you have any troubles with that?
In the North the winter will mess up the seals and it’ll rust with moisture

I have the same concern. I just got a spoiler that’s like yours and I’ve been researching that other spoilers are wobbly when driving on the highway. What’s your experience with your spoiler?

how do you actually attach the spoiler to the frame of the car, I understand where the bolt and the washer go but I didnt see anything regarding a nut to keep it in place. please explain
The hole in the spoiler is threaded. Use a lock washer to keep the bolt in place. Or you can also use green locktite.

How is it holding up? I'm thinking of putting one of my hatchback but I'm too concerned of the middle part of the spoiler being too flimsy at high speeds :/

Mine did, I had to remove it and use 3m tape on all connecting ends, it helped alot, still wobbles in the middle though

I have a civic with a trunk not a hatchback. is it possible to do this?
Yes and its the same procedure but you have to make a hole or zip cut the back of the trunk because there is no access to put the screw on.

Of course not! Thats why you have to put weather proof seal under the base of the spoiler
There is no such thing as an m16x16 bolt? Cant find anywhere?
I won’t put it there if it doesn’t exist! Check your local home depot or lowes or amazon. If you’re not convince check on google!
