By no means his best, this was the late 70s when he was know as the godfather of soul,in the 60s Mr dynamite had people standing in the rain outside the Apollo to see him
Is this from the late 1970s? If so, I was at that concert. I know James also played the Forum in the 80s, but I was only at the show that happened around 1978. It was terrific! I remember the one I was at was filmed, but I'm not sure sure about the later one. I also remember that when the camera crew came out, they put in ear plugs because the sound system was so loud.
I was at one of James' shows at the Forum, around 1978 or 79, and it was filmed. He also appeared there in the 80s but I don't know if it was filmed, so this could be around 1979. Terrific show. The Forum featured a slowly-revolving stage, with the audience around it.
