Maceo’s solo on Prisoner Of Love is nothing short of brilliant, as is the dancing during Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag.
One of my favourite live performances from James Brown.
Each to their own but this is nothing compared to performances in 60s/70s
I have the DVD but didn't know there were more songs ! More like this please !
Very excited, so glad that it's being uploaded in full rather than track seperated!
Although I gotta say this thumbnail is not it.
Can’t wait!

1:23 Maceo's rendition of Soul Power 74 is incredible here!
It's fine, but the band performed this song much better than this in the 90s and the '00s. The sound of the drums does not fit with this song, maybe too much compressed? The guitar and bass were too low here though.
@@josephellis6697Agree to disagree ig, the later renditions are good for their own reasons but this is my all time favourite. The horn section is really good this whole show imo, this is the best opening act I've seen.
カッコいい
恐ろしくカッコいい
登場まで19分以上かかり

しかし、なんだ、

最後にオーサカの厚生年金会館で観たのが最後になるとは、、、、
Number one. Mythical!
"Hand to hand, across the nation" ... it could be the national anthem. JB #1.

To be more specific, the song at 13:45 is “The King” and I’m sure you have heard it before. It is kinda rearranged/sped up and I love the original song because it was one of the first JB songs that I listened to when I was a kid. The one at 14:48 is the one that I don’t know its title but I know they first performed it in ‘84 and I like it too.
What about naming the band members? I’ll do that
James Brown- Lead vocals, keyboards, bandleader, and dancer
Danny Ray- M.C.
Maceo Parker- alto sax, Co-bandleader
St.Clair Pinckney- Tenor sax
Joe Collier- Trumpet
Ron Laster- guitar
Tony Jones- guitar
Jimmy Lee Moore- bass
Johny Griggs- percussion
Arthur Dixon- drums
Tony Cook- drums
Martha High- vocals
Larry Moore- keyboards
Charles Sherrell- keyboards, band director
@@josephellis6697 ach I knew it sounded familiar, good catch
1:22:58 He is speaking the language of the Gods.
I think he said Joe Tex? 🤔
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Mick Jagger learned his moves from James Brown.
Takes JB twenty minutes to get on stage.
Yeah it's pretty awesome
Sammy Davis sounds funny
Don't he always though?
