Could be completely wrong but the first woman could've very well been raised on physical punishment, which is why she treats the "You have till 3" rule so highly, because at 3 she'd be made to act right.

He probably dropped the battery charge in exchange for her giving up custody willingly of his kid. He could have probably gotten it on his own if he pressed but if you can get your ex to agree to it and thus speed up the legal battle and save the legal fees then its probably worth it when she's already facing other felonies and charges that will keep her preoccupied anyway.

I am not a lawyer but the obvious aparently needs to be said yet again. You obey the commands of the police. If they are in the wrong you will NOT be solving it at the scene. Go quitely and once on the station talk to your lawyer. Only then things will be sorted out. Stay silent! they don't need to get your permission to arrest you. Getting into it with the cops will just get you the classic extra charges, "Assaulting a police officer" and "Resisting arrest".

Adventure time is a great show, has a lot of content. If you ever do it though I'd be wary since a couple of youtubers (currently) are going through a bunch of copyright strikes regarding Adventure Time. Also wow those 2 stories are wild, especially the Brittaney one.
