As long as that cop that got with the drunk driver later still charged her, I think it's fine. Seems like a really funny way to meet, though I definitely wouldn't recommend flirting with suspects because most of the time it obviously doesn't end well like this.

I dont know how it is in other states, but here you can refuse a blood test. The officers can ask a judge for a warrant, but often by the time the warrant gets processed, they're not drunk anymore.

Actually it doesn't depend on the state no officer has a right to take anything from you due to our Fourth amendment right and this was accounted for in many court cases because they cannot legally take your blood your breath or any part of you without your legal permission

My understanding is that the law is based on the state, and usually you can refuse to take the field test. They will MAKE you take a blood test or breathalyzer at the station, however
@@LegiamasC-OnTwitta if you still live in Canada I have no info on that but looking at the usa look at the dmv cdl manual (which tells you more info than the general driver manual ) look for the part that says implied consent law it should be the first sentence that will give you your answer that law applies to all vehicle drivers
I find directness very attractive. However only when it is clearly motovated by reasonable thinking. The way her speech is slurred turns me off. If someone is interested in me, I want them to be interested because they want me not because they are drunk.

Even if you don't have to, it's probably best to do so to prevent them from finding out as a surprise. This goes for especially if you don't know for sure what the laws in your state are. It's just one of those things that you can be cooperative in to make sure that whatever stop is going on goes smoothly.

I lived nearby in northern Cali and new people who would make the drive. Never understood it but hey. Made for some interesting stories. Did make me think how it could be regulated and such but decided by most all states it's a no no.

Dunno if it was mentioned by someone else already, but in a lot of places if a car is being impounded they have to do full inventory of belongings, often at the scene before it's even been towed so it's all on the cameras. Which would involve glovebox, trunk, backpacks, everything. So they were probably gonna find out about any weapons whether she said anything or not.
But again, it varies by state, municipality, department, etc. which is why it gets so confusing.

I think the reason for the difference is determining if you're still functional. Alcohol being in your system doesn't automatically mean you can't function well enough to not be a danger. Now, I do think that that can be a potentially dangerous way of thinking because some people really overestimate how much of a lightweight they are. I know that for me, a couple of drinks over a couple of hours will not impair me, but I'm betting that would probably show up on a breathalyzer, especially since field breathalyzers are more prone to mistakes than the ones at the stations.
For the supposed couple... i mean if depsite that he still fully booked her and didnt give her special treatment in regards to charges and the law, if a cop wants tk be friendly and show dog pictures I dont mind

46:09 I’ve been cross faded a couple times and every single time I have no memory of it.
The only time I remember was the first and I barely remember, it was after work, my coworker workers and I were besties and we worked 13 hour shifts 6 days a week and since none of us could spend the holidays with family a small group of us decided to celebrate together and get fucked it, we played cards against humanity while slowly getting to party point.
We all lived downtown and because we did we all lived around a 5 minute walk away from each other and I remember since we were all super close all night we kept going to different apartments to do different things. The last thing I remember was everyone being shocked how much alcohol I could put away and how much control I had when shit faced when I’d never drunk before that night and I’m 5 foot and i weighed 109 pounds, I remember there was some sort of random drinking competition we had and I won then we all wanted to beat saber so we went to the apartment of the friend who had it and I ate an edible before leaving and it was by complete accident.
I ate a gummy worm and one friend while we were walking asked me “what the fuck are your chewing on? It smells fruity” and I swallowed and said “gummy worm” everyone was confused and asked where the fuck I got a single gummy worm and then abruptly one friend said “OH FUCK” and it startled everyone and he said while laughing really hard “THAT WAS AN EDIBLE TINK YOIUR GONNA BE SO CROSS FADED”
I wasn’t too worried but everyone at first were scared then it turned into excitement, the last thing I remember was I played beat saber a little and then started crawling around on the floor then I was rolling around and someone asked what I was doing and I said “I’m warm, tile is cold” I wasn’t really hot but my skin felt hot so the cold tile felt great.
I remember nothing else but I’m told we went to waffle houses and I felt asleep the entire time but somehow I stole a bowl of chili that was ceramic so it definitely wasn’t something you can take home. I put it in my hoodie pocket and everyone said they were so confused how I stole it when I was literally asleep the whole time and they only knew because chili was coming out of my pocket so they were like “WHY THIS BITCH LEAKING CHILI!?”
That was the first time I ever stole thing and for 2 years I had an moral struggle, I thought o should take it back but I have social anxiety and imagine how embarrassing that is, returning a bowl for chili to Waffle House. It haunts me to this day.

This might be a hot take (i have no idea), but i feel like prostitution should still be illegal. Sex work is not prostitution, and prostitution is incredibly dangerous. It knowingly exposes minors to adult content (this is already happening with all these stupid twitch meta thots), prostitutes historically tend to ignore morals if you pay them enough. It’s also dangerous to the prostitute, since prostitution is about being hired for sex. You have no idea who is hiring you for the night, nor does anyone know you’re hired at the time. It’s incredibly dangerous and hard to regulate. Two more notes because this is getting long, there is normally no record of what happens, so anything can be made up at that time to extort either party. And the big reason why this probably won’t ever be approved is because you can’t tax the earnings. There’s no paper trail, so you can make up anything. So that’s my hot take

That case with Brooke, if that department has an IA team they'd be all over that cop for unprofessional behaviour, its not enough to warrant a suspension or anything since he did get her booked for DUI in the end so he did do his job but it will have been a major slap on the wrist like "you cannot act like that with a suspect, do that again and its more than a slap on the wrist", you'd think its only rookies on their first 6 months to a year on the job that would fall for that shit like the flirty behaviour, more senior cops you just know have dealt with that kinda behaviour hundreds of times and you gotta let the younger newbies make that mistake and learn from it so they can grow in their career but a senior cop with multiple years under his belt should not be falling for that shit even if your suspect is a genuinely nice person which Brooke appeared to be, she was honest and upfront from the get-go that she was under the influence etc

Of for anyone interested. Most Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) carry the Streamlight Stinger DS LED HL flashlight. I’m not a LEO, my father is though and they are the best light I’ve ever owned. You can signal aircraft with it, it’s insane.
Regarding the "No charges" woman. She mentioned being Swiss. Most likely no charges because ICE is talking to the local consulate, and they're determining how to handle it: Charges and Jail time in the US, vs. No Charges and deportation proceedings. In a lot of cases for something that would be jail time but isn't a VIOLENT crime, law enforcement here in the states will decide to deport the person back to their own country instead and revoke their Visa. Depending on the charges and where they're from this might ALSO come with a fine or jail time in their home country, but I've heard about a lot of cases where it was basically just "And don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out. And don't bother planning any vacations here. Ever."
