Earlier today, I was thinking about how much fun it will be to watch you bring the interior back to life. The exterior has been such a massive challenge (and 100% fascinating), but the interior work will be a whole different type of creative process. Such a great project...
The basic guts of a building of that size are going to be a thing of wonder. Heat / cooling / water / electric ..... and all in an esthetic framework - HUGE JOB! But they have to get watertight first!
His woodworking tool sponsor is certainly looking forward to it, I’m sure! He has a whole shop full of interesting tools that have hardly been used yet. The sponsor must be very patient and forward-thinking though, because I’d wager even starting most of that kind of woodworking work is still at least a year away, and I’m sure they knew that as well. I’m guessing most of the interior work this winter will be starting on getting the basement done, beginning to get the main interior walls sorted and working on running the utilities. If I was scheduling it out, that would be my priority for this winter at least.
I'm from the U.S., and have been living in Austin, TX for the last 18 yrs but one of my favorite countries in the world has always been France, which I've visited three time. I've watched you Dan from the very beginning working on this derelict chateau, working almost totally by yourself and thought you were very eccentric and a bit of a Don Quixote, chasing after windmills to attempt to rescue this burnt and crumbling wreck. I'm so happy I was proven wrong and you've accomplished so much so quickly, working by yourself and with your delightful crew.
I love Nick’s laugh. You all have done a great deal of work and you can still laugh together. That in itself is an accomplishment. Great work and thank you for taking us along on your journey.
So great to watch you fellas repelling down "Château-de-Chaumont-Everest". You really have all of the climbing paraphernalia organized for your big decent. Love it.
The opening shot had me in awe! The beautiful chateau among the mist was just stunning. I could watch you all "hanging around " daily. What will come when the turret is done? I'll have to wait and see I suppose. Good work today guys!
The world belongs to the mad. From a tree growing in shell of a building until picking the shade of a wallpaper. Cant wait until you will start to tackle the interior!
I enjoy the signature. music. I have noticed it multiple times and feels uplifted as I hear it. I think it fits the French chateau restoration vibe perfectly and that it is a brilliant idea to have such a light melodic tune to identify your chanel and the whole project.
You said it Dan! The changes are so exciting. When I first saw the Chateau and your vision for it it seemed impossible but you have done it. What a team you have had with you too. It looks so wonderful! It blows me away.
I absolutely love watching all of you working together on this project! Your obvious affection and confidence in each other make me chuckle out loud and in the process take my mind off of how high up in the air you are!
Amazing guys, You 3 blokes are doing this with, friendship, laughter even with the bad (sorry Brian i meant dad ?) jokes, ❤ em... its looking great 👍 ❤❤🇦🇺
WOW, plus! It's absolutely amazing. The. Icing on the cake is the drone footage of daily accomplishments. To visualize what drawings and very hard work, as in, it's great when a plan comes together. Thinking of when the Chateau was originally constructed, how many workers were on the job daily. Now, three and sometimes four men are rebuilding this building into Dans dream home. Makes me wish this 80 y/o could work on the project.
Me too. I can't get on a chair to change a light bulb without passing out; my first intro to Nick was on Chateau Diaries and I couldn't watch his footage because it made me so nauseated. I'm honestly surprised he can make it that high with those big brass balls weighing him down.
Dan,Nick,Brian my handsome men. The turret is looking great. The chateau has been a lot of work since the beginning. Everything is coming along fantastic. Can’t wait to see all the new additions coming. Until tomorrow. My darlings, please take care and stay safe. Love ya . Happy Halloween 🎃👻💀🦇🍺🍺🍺👍🙏🌞🇺🇸❤️🌈🌹
Congratulations to all the team with your progress as you said the building is changing daily now, and at last you seem to be having good weather for a change
What a challenge to construct that roof in the air 😱I'm sure your Movember idea will also be great - looking forward to learning what it is - such a good cause.
Oh my this is really impressive and stunningly magnificent. I have always been drawn to France and loved the calm atmosphere around these places where people are so involved in restoring palaces, castles, manors and so on. 😊
WOW! Every day I see changes in the Chateau, but today adding the last few boards on the hangman boards really made a difference in the looks. Dan, Nick and Brian! Great work! You guys are truly amazing! It's all coming together now bit by bit. Every day your work is something to be proud of! Hard to wait here, I really want to see the entire roof done and a dry building.
Unbelievable! been watching since he had 5000 viewers every step exciting and purposeful; and no long periods with weird music played during ❤actual work. I so enjoy the banter among the guys,
Whoa!! I got so nervous watching that big heavy beam being passed like a footbal . The turret is going to be amazing! Made by blood ,sweat ? and nerves , you guys are so smart and brave!
D*MA, you guys blow my mind every time I see you! No cranes, hoists, or bucket lifts, just good old hard work with gymnastic ability & ropes with hardware. Job is looking real good!! Thanks for another vid, the opening film was awesome too.
Nick is one hell of a man !! He doesn’t say a lot ,but boy he has such strength and knowledge. You three are incredible 🤗
You're so lucky to have Nick and Brian; fearless at heights and hard workers - what a team!
It's Cirque de Soleil with drills and hammers.
@@airenesmiler6624oh I’m spilling my coffee! Yes a good analogy 😊

I have no doubt that these gifted gents will get it done spectacularly, what a magnificent structure.
I just hope he doesn't get Stephanie and Phillip involved. They would ruin the good thing he's got going.
The whole planet is watching the rebirth of this wonderful property.
Thank you for taking us all on your journey with you and your crew. 🥰👍🇨🇦💕

I thought the same thing and gave him three months before he quit! I'm so happy to be wrong! -Kaye in Illinois
Team Chaumont! Champions of the chateau game! Thank you for such a simple, refreshing take on the mammoth task you are engaged in.
I like all the building stuff but some more travel and shopping videos would be great.

Interesting. People usually use ropes to climb the Matterhorn, not build it! Great work, guys. Very impressive progress.

I am amazed at what you accomplish. I love watching your work. When are you having the little boys back on the property. They are adorable.
The work is incredible. Now it looks a like a remodel or renovation instead of restoring an old ruin. Great job guys.
Pleased to hear your supporting Movember again. Hope it's a naked calendar and you got Calvin's pictures done before he went home! 😋
My admiration for what you are achieving just keeps increasing. Such vision, focus and brilliant teamwork.
