Exactly this! These videos aren't like other DIY/reno videos, there is something way more special about these videos. They're funny, interesting, informative, beautiful, and the progress feels like it moves so quickly video by video.
I have to say eeeeevery week i sit down, roll a joint and watch them working. its so much fun to watch. it kinda selfish but i love that its taking so long :D
My dad kept on buying houses and re-make them by himself with some of mom's help. But when i say by hand is really by HAND like they would carry Cement with buckets, and pin the nails with hammer, make holes with shovels that we're like 2-5Metter deep. Nothing much automatized, and even if they had to cut something the chainsaw was for use rip. Anyway i can't belive i'm on this video sience the first day lmao, Jenna really moves well wiht her husband! Still i find their relationship extremly nice, i wish i was having someone like that near by me, i'm aware it look good on camera, and god know what's behind ,but so far how it looks ,it looks good, and leaving this aside, these videos are perfect, cool relationship, both of them go along extremly well, they are working good together, the house was nearly fully gone, now is getting again back there, and soon they will go inside of it.
Don't be ridiculous, your videos are never boring!!! 39 weeks. Crazy. It doesn't feel like it. 2 months, maybe. Thank you for taking us on your journey ❤ (I don't mean to sound mean, it's more a declaration of admiration 😉)

Jenna, we are not watching because constructing a home is exciting. We are watching because you and Nick exude how couples should work together. Inspirational banter, play and positive attitude nailing every challenge.
Home builds really remind me of where I was just a few years ago, no savings, no IRA, nothing.Thought owning a home was out of reach. But after three years of hard work and smart investing, I grew my savings to $350k and finally bought a home. If I can do it, anyone can. Graham David Fullerton was very helpful in making this dream a reality by investing towards a particular goal.
I went from having no money to invest, to working my butt off with Uber Eats for four months to save around $20k to start working with Graham David Fullerton. Now, I'm sitting at $128k, and I’m absolutely loving the progress, hoping to buy my first home soon. Glad that you have to bring this up.
Where do I start? How do I begin investing? I don't think I can ever get a home with the current rates. If anyone has advice, please share. Also, how do I connect with him?
Not only is this true for me but I discuss it frequently with my husband and when I wake up on Wednesday morning I'm like "I get to see what Jenna and Nick have got accomplished on their house this week!" "How far did they get on the roof?" I was even keeping track of the timing realizing how close we were to the end of October when you were supposed to get your roof on.

Wether it's 200 hundred crocheted flowers or 200 hundred sheets of plywood, it's you, Jenna and now Nick taking parts and pieces and making something whole. That's pretty consistent and never boring!
It's not 'Construction content' its a journey! We've followed you throughout and know how we got here, it's all very eye opening and the reality of undertaking such a massive project. It's refreshing to see something real on social media for once. Keep going guys, you're frickin killing it
honestly love this content. You never get to see this honest time-labor-planning-measuring process of remodels and renovations. Every show ever is like "we took down the walls or bumped out this room and boom new room" and I love the transparent , real-time labor. Its soooo refreshing
OMG the lack of "outros" is one of my favourite things! LOL. It always cracks me up how every video just… ends. Every time. I love it. I didn't realize people thought that was a problem. Haha. Also I LOVE the construction content but that's me (a 100% non-crafter that joined when the "abandoned house" video showed up in my feed).
Yup, I agree with everything you said. And I too, had never watched this channel til the abandon house video. And I saw it right away before the next video was posted. So interesting. Been watching ever since. Feels strange that her normal/original content is/was crocheting cause that's not who she is to me.
Me too! I usually like watching house restoration videos. I don't know if any of us realized it was going to be a rebuild when they started, but certainly needed when they uncovered basically everything done wrong when the house was built!
I know people always say to youtubers "We don't watch you for the content! we watch you for YOU!" but never, EVER, has it been more true than now. Jenna you and Nick are an absolute ride and I would legit watch you standing in line at the DMV to get a replacement drivers license that is how fun you guys are. I don't think boring is in the vocabulary when talking about this channel.
You guys need to have roof access! After the house is built! the views are beautiful, and it would be beautiful to be able to go up and decompress or something :) 💖💖
Honestly? No, not boring. It's a rather comforting viewing experience. Very likable and kinda awesome to watch something be almost destroyed (planfully) and rebuilt anew.
How dare you say it's boring?? Here since day 1, that's the most interesting series I've seen! It's genuine, no clickbait, no drama or sensationalism You're like my weekly series
1. Considering every Wednesday, I’m stalking YT for y’all’s latest upload, it’s not boring! 2. Whenever Jenna walks over a hole, I hold my breath 3. Did y’all pump out that little swimming pool? 4. That outro was SOLID GOLD. I laughed for a good minute.
Your content has never been boring. From older stuff of you crocheting, moving place to place and decorating different spaces. Trips to get furniture. To this. I’m here for it all!
I think your version of outro is part of your signature… quirky, a quick passing thru and honest. (I personally found this refreshing about you guys!!!!). I would definitely encourage you to do you. The minute UA-camrs start to overproduce and refine their videos… I feel like part of the humanity and soul of the connection gets lost. Do you. Trust your gut and intuition. There is only one you and that is who we are showing up for!!!
If folks are complaining about how long it is taking to build your home have obviously never done a home improvement project. Stuff always takes longer than planned (set backs, materials, permits etc.) Plus you guys are doing A LOT on your own. I love watching your progress.
Totally agree. It's easy to throw a dozen trained and experienced people on it and do it quick and expensive, but it takes time if you're doing a lot of it on your own. I'm also renovating... I'm 2.5 years in and far from done, meanwhile living minimalist in one room, but every step in the right direction is so rewarding and I'm paying off the mortgage while saving/spending as I go on the reno instead of creating more debt. By the time the house is finished, the mortgage will be drastically reduced as well and I'll live in a house I'm at peace with and proud of.
The ONLY channel I watch every single week. The only series EVER I have watched religiously. This isn't boring; it's fascinating. I love that y'all get out there and do and learn (the hard way sometimes). It's great.
Oh Jenna. You're such a talented content creator. Your pace, your rhythm, storytelling, your humour. Everything is just perfect. This stage of the reno might be boring but you make it entertaining. I have watched and enjoyed every single part of this series. Also, I have no idea how you still manage to deliver such high quality content while building a house with your bare hands. When do you find time to edit?? You deserve all your flowers. Well done.
Construction content is NOT boring. Crawl spaces (even non accessible ones) should in my opinion have a drain of some sort. Building a house with your own hands is tough. At first I wasn't sure you two were up for it. I have underestimated both of you. Super hard workers. Don't get discouraged....and keep up the good work. Awesome job.
I started watching you because of the reconstruction of an old house. Don't let cranky farts make you feel bad. Be excited and make memories with your family. That's all that really matters!!!
Tape measures. I usually go with Stanley, they're available at the hardware store, and I've never had one break. I don't use mine nearly as much as you do, so YMMV. A trick I was taught is to get some cheap, small 12-footers. Carry one with you, plant them at tool-places in the shop, or in your case, attach one to the saw in a way that's accessible, I don't need a "forever" tape measure.
Hi Jenna! I recently graduated from architecture school and I honestly love the construction content. It feels educational getting to see all these concepts I learned about taking shape, but you also make it so fun and entertaining. So if anything, you’ve got at least one person who loves the construction content.
Put hurricane clips on to keep your roof from blowing away. Did you see the photo of the one house in Florida on the coast that didn't blow/washed away? One of the reasons for its survival were hurricane clips attaching the roof to the walls. They don't cost that much, we just used them in a new cabin on a lake that gets big winds.
I think she’s near Vancouver I don’t think they normally get hurricanes around there but I could be wrong plus with global warming honestly who knows anymore
@@Genes_in_jeans Hurricanes, no, but we can get nasty wind storms going through. (I’m in WA about 2 hours south.) usually if your roof gets damaged, it’s because the wind took out a tree or tree limbs and they went through the roof. 🤞🏼🤞🏼that won’t happen with their new roof. The trees they trimmed should help!
Hurricane clips are spec’d in Vancouver and will be in their engineered drawings. A lot of framers add them afterwards as part of the back framing stage so they could be doing the same thing
@@Genes_in_jeans Because of some quirks of how water temperature and currents in the north pacific work, if it warms enough to let hurricanes hit the North West, we will all be dead and probably underwater
no. it's not boring. im here since episode 1 and i enjoyed every single second of it. even the sponsor parts. it's my comfort show. please renovate (build it from scratch) an another house after this one
Oh goodness I’m not bored of construction content don’t worry. I am super excited for more crochet/knit content eventually once the space is complete and you can add cool things like pillows and blankets. I know it’ll be a while, but I’m enjoying this too!
First, none of this has been boring. Second it’s kind of amazing how quickly the this has turned around from deconstruction to rebuilding, thanks in no small part to that brilliant flat-pack roof.
Somehow, Jenna, you manage to take what COULD be boring content and turn it into very satisfying entertainment. I personally have come to love the music, that folksy music with the ukulele, piano and horns, that you use during work segments. I consider it to be your signature music, and it evokes an emotion that means faithfulness, family, and strong relationship bonds. Then you break it up into short comedic segments with you and Nicki talking. I love it. Don’t worry about whether we are bored, as your viewers, because girl you really have the whole package, and we are most definitely NOT bored.
A good video is 25% interesting content, 10% anticipation and 65% likeable personalities. And you have that recipe down pat. 👍🥹🥰 I’m rooting for you two to get dried in soon, because I hear 🇨🇦Canada gets cold and snowy in winter. Fingers crossed. Sending love ❤️ from 🇺🇸
Your videos are absolutely NOT boring! I’ve been watching you for your crochet and diy stuff before but I’ve never been so excited EVERY week for so so many weeks to watch a series on all of UA-cam! I love it and keep going 🫶🏻
I'm here primarily for the Go Jenna, Go Nicky couple vibes. The construction is just an added bonus. Plus, I loved your random outro endings lol, please don't change them!
Honestly this isn't boring at all, I love seeing updates on your house. All the mediocre bits too, cause the dynamic going on between you and your partner, make this all the more enjoyable to watch. All around top tier content. After a day with my whirlwind of a toddler, this is now my favorite way to wind down. Lol so keep it up!! I'm excited to watch the whole process and see the finished place ❤
It's coming together! I can't wait for when we get to see the whole process at the end. It'll be a journey we've all been on together since the beginning :)
Jenna, ❤️, it is not boring, it is quite fascinating, and I can’t believe you are completely rebuilding a house, including the entire roof! It is amazing. Well I am a 75 year old grandma , and I started watching you crochet, and I have also always been interested in houses / construction projects, so maybe my tastes are not the average, but to me, not boring!
a silent member here, i dont really comment on things.. I havent even gotten to the comment yet but i am here to stay your videos are anything but boring. I admire you and nick to be able to work so well together on a very stressful thing. You guys make me crack up, and i really enjoy having a peak into your life. I really do enjoy your videos and truly look forward to seeing you each week. I havent had someone i have been so eager to see each week since Jenna Marbles!
13:10 it's funny, because I only found your channel because of the construction content and I'm all for it. You two make a great team and the videos are very cozy. it's like comfort food, you don't want to eat it, because then it's gone and you have to wait for the next time.
I have been watching since the beginning and I can tell you - You and Nick are never boring...ever. Your deadpan looks, your relationship, the magic of your home coming together .... I think all your subscribers and patrons have pretended to be helping, handing you nails, hauling up those rafters, drilling plywood. Cursing the weather, and worrying about the bad weather coming. I'm sure it didn't feel like that, but please keep it in mind. And it is an amazing series and I love, love, love it. And also thanks for sharing your dogs. They are also a highlight (I am biased) :)
this remodel is the only one ive ever actually kept up with and come back to😭 YOU make it so entertaining! your personality, video style, seeing the entire process !! its amazing
I freaking love the roofing episodes!!! I love all of your episodes and wish they were longer! Is there a way you can make the vids come to a finished ending instead of an abrupt ending? It’s sad when it ends so suddenly!
I worked in construction framing and demolition for many years, so to me the work you have been doing has Not Been Boring, it's actually been exciting. I can't wait for the next video.
Stumbled onto you about 35 weeks ago and LOVE this series, I wait till Thursdays for the new video to be up, as it goes up while I sleep. Not boring at all!
Dude we watch it for you, you make anything nice to watch. I honestly don’t care about construction, but I am fully entertained for 20 min when I watch your video
The algorithm sent u too me and this is far from boring, I just binged all the videos in this series over a week and now I count down the minutes till next week's upload
honestly what is truly amazing is your positive vibe during the process. also your editing, commentary and music are well chosen. the construction is incidental to the whole thing
Nothing boring about this.. You're experiencing what every builder (professional or DIY'er) experiences on every remodel. That is, you never really know what you're in for until you start opening the walls. In your case it just happened that what you found required you to tear down and rebuild virtually everything. You're not the first it's happened to and you won't be the last. What makes this such a great series is that you've tackled every challenge so far with your chins up and and smiles on your faces. Love you guys!
I am in love with the wholesomeness of this series. It's this mixture of slow life, good vibes, kind love, funny times, and just human goodness. You are doing a phenomenal job! And your editing is brilliant Jenna, just well done!
I don't think your house renovation videos are boring. I enjoy watching the process and your renovation videos are the reason why I found your channel on UA-cam.
You are showing us a crazy detailed rebuild on a very unique property. That's not boring. It's fascinating to see all the nitty gritty details. If that's boring, keep boring me please!
As someone who came to this channel for the house reno/construction stuff after I found you on TikTok, I haven't found it boring at all. In fact, I've been hanging onto every minute of these videos since March, excited for the next one to air. I'm kind of a big architecture/interior design nerd so this is right up my street. Seriously, keep doing what you're doing.
Hey believe it or not I've actually really enjoyed watching you do this job from the beginning and actually seeing how it really is done like you don't skip things like all of a sudden the roof's on all of a sudden the walls are in all of a sudden you're painting it's good you're doing it step by step and showing how it's done and you're showing it that you're doing it yourself you don't have like 10 or 15 builders hanging around whipping it up you know be proud of yourselves you did a wonderful job you're doing a wonderful job
girl, i have never been more entertained lol it's actually fascinating to see you building it practically from the ground up. plus, between demolishing and building, y'all must be exhausted. the effort and the work... y'all are amazing for doing this. respect 100%!! actually, thank you for taking the time to film and edit these videos for us, which btw i love how you edit them, you make everything so much fun.
They will have different bodies completely by the time it's all done. AND will remember something about every part of that home. I hope it stays in the family for generations.
I am not finding this boring at all. There’s no pretense with you guys. It’s fascinating to see the process, and you have such an infectious good attitude about it. I look forward to every update. Also, amazing outro! 10/10
None of the reno vids have been boring! You and Nicky are so fun to watch, and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching each and every "episode". I look forward to a new vid each week!
13:46 I enjoy watching your construction so much i got jealous and built myself a mini floor to go under my loft bed. It's got joist hangers and a plywood subfloor and everything. And i measured so well, Nick would be proud! It fits EXACTLY in the footprint of the loft bed. I made it so that I could store things under it (it's hinged in the back corner so i can access the stuff at the back near the wall) and then covered the plywood with Kraft paper so I didn't have to sand, and then got a really nice wool rug from IKEA and now it's my cozy little raised platform floor office! Keep on building!
Jenna and Nick, I wait patiently for your videos to come out every Wednesday. Boring - nope! Just look at all you guys and your helpers have accomplished. Look at all the things you have learned to do. Handling all your tools so expertly. The view, every time you scan the horizon and take in the view, it’s so awesome. Don’t say building is boring, your content is an evolution of your‘ ‘abandoned house’ project. Thinking of the future you guys will have in the house is a dream come true and to say proudly that you actually built it yourselves. Don’t put yourself down for the present stage of building, keep up the good work.
I look forward to these videos every single Wednesday and have never found even ONE boring. My God! You guys work so hard and show us so much. This is so interesting and entertaining. I don't think 1.3 million subscribers think this is boring. big Hugs
Can’t even get my mind around the thought that ANYONE would think this is boring! Best, most entertaining and real life channel on UA-cam. Outro was hilarious!
boring content Jenna?! What? I tuned in on your first video when you started this project, and i've LOVED every week of destruction and construction content. I've loved seeing the entire process, last week I cried happy tears for you guys, so proud of what you've been able to accomplish. I'd love to see like a cost breakdown and all that kind of stuff when you guys are done. Or maybe talk about how you figured out all your steps as you've gone along. Go JENNA! GO NiCky! ♥
I've seen enough remodeling content. BUT REBUILDING AN ENTIRE HOUSE BY HAND? Heck yeah!
Exactly this! These videos aren't like other DIY/reno videos, there is something way more special about these videos. They're funny, interesting, informative, beautiful, and the progress feels like it moves so quickly video by video.

Well done.
This is not boring!!! I’m look forward to seeing your progress every week!!! Thank you for that!
*i
Construction content is NOT boring.
Carry one with you, plant them at tool-places in the shop, or in your case, attach one to the saw in a way that's accessible,
I don't need a "forever" tape measure.
Hi Jenna! I recently graduated from architecture school and I honestly love the construction content. It feels educational getting to see all these concepts I learned about taking shape, but you also make it so fun and entertaining. So if anything, you’ve got at least one person who loves the construction content.
BORINg? I’ve watched every episode as soon as I can since you bought this beast, this whole project is so fascinating
Me, too! Can't wait for each one and never miss..
I don’t think it’s boring at all! I love watching the process! 14:26
@@Genes_in_jeans They do have earthquakes, maybe systemic clips? Also they are on the ocean so strong winds and storms.
Go Nick's dad. Cheers to Jenna's dad and mom. Go parents. You will all have many great times in that house.
I really means more when you build with generations. 🙂
14:00 It's not boring! and glad you finally nailed the outro.
This house is going to be beautiful, all the heart and soul you put into it. And LOTS OF LONG HARD WORK 🙏
I'm here primarily for the Go Jenna, Go Nicky couple vibes.
I’m here for the whole journey! The fact that you two (with help sometimes) are doing this massive project is AMAZING!
1. Not boring
2. I love you don’t do proper outro‘s. It’s you!
Do not apologise, there is no need! Keep being you. We love your content. From CT & Selkie Pup (hi to Benson & Jack), in theScottish Highlands.
a silent member here, i dont really comment on things..
It’s not boring!! Stop saying that!! I love your videos!! Your outro made me laugh.
this remodel is the only one ive ever actually kept up with and come back to😭 YOU make it so entertaining! your personality, video style, seeing the entire process !!
I love the new roof design, has just enough slope to really make it last a long time. Engineers earned their money designing that one.
Crows are friends!
4:40 Benson!! I’ve missed you!! Happy birthday, buttercup! 😘😘😘
The algorithm sent u too me and this is far from boring, I just binged all the videos in this series over a week and now I count down the minutes till next week's upload
honestly what is truly amazing is your positive vibe during the process. also your editing, commentary and music are well chosen. the construction is incidental to the whole thing
wow its been 9 months??? jenna and nick yall are awesome, this journey is so much fun its started from the crocheting and now were here, wonderful.
It’s not boring at all! I love watching the entire process. You are awesome at documenting your renovations. Better than anything on TV.
I love that its real and not like TV
That home is being build in hard work and love and it’s so fun to watch!
Not boring!
Wooo Hooo Jenna is uploaded!!! DUDE not boring totally NOT boring!!! Y’all are rockstars!!!
Yayy!! It’s the best time of the week
I’ve been waiting since noon refreshing. 😂 Definitely one of the highlights of my week too.
Same!!
13:41 nooooo! This is not boring and we love you. As a self trained builder I find it fascinating. Keep it up. Never stop being you.
Love watching construction content - never boring with great people.
Crows are so cool. I have a couple who love my backyard. Mockingbirds, on the other hand are not cool. They torment the crows and my dog.
girl, i have never been more entertained lol it's actually fascinating to see you building it practically from the ground up. plus, between demolishing and building, y'all must be exhausted. the effort and the work... y'all are amazing for doing this. respect 100%!! actually, thank you for taking the time to film and edit these videos for us, which btw i love how you edit them, you make everything so much fun.
They will have different bodies completely by the time it's all done. AND will remember something about every part of that home. I hope it stays in the family for generations.
This is not boring who ever been saying that is just rude.. this is the highlight of my week every week... you guys are doing so amazingly
I am not finding this boring at all. There’s no pretense with you guys. It’s fascinating to see the process, and you have such an infectious good attitude about it. I look forward to every update.
Also, amazing outro! 10/10
If loved absolutely every episode of this renovation and rebuilding so dont fret!
None of the reno vids have been boring! You and Nicky are so fun to watch, and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching each and every "episode". I look forward to a new vid each week!
Not the plant 😢
It'll come back! Just tip it out, and let it dry out. It'll be fine.
I don't think 1.3 million subscribers think this is boring. big Hugs
About the tape messures: Use a "zollstock" instead! You can messure with it, transfer angles, open bottles, etc.
This is not boring at all! It's actually giving me ideas (We're also renovating)
This is the only Series I watch on UA-cam consistently...thats how great it is!!! Please stop saying its boring
Can’t even get my mind around the thought that ANYONE would think this is boring! Best, most entertaining and real life channel on UA-cam. Outro was hilarious!
Your content is not boring I am again saying I am always looking forward to Wednesday just bcs of this it is not boring pls keep making
Nooooo. Construction content is where it’s at! From a dying abandoned structure breaths new life into a beautiful home.
No worries -- your channel is definitely NOT boring. Enjoying all of your episodes, week by week. One of my favorite UA-cam channels!
The construction is NOT boring! I am amazed at your ability. I won't lie, at the beginning I had my doubts, but WOW!
boring content Jenna?! Go JENNA! GO NiCky! ♥
