@Ywonne That's clearly an American wedding with some Irish dancing happening. Listen to the accents, look at the venue, look at what's on the table. That is not an Irish wedding. The presence of Irish dancing does not spontaneously move the location of the wedding to Ireland, nor change the nationality of the guests to Irish.
That made my morning coffee break, Thank you for posting. I was employed in the tunnel trade most of my working life and of course so were many Irish Men. Traveling around the world with them was great fun and even getting an invite to the Irish Embassy in Cairo because I knew them was great. While working at Heathrow Ter 4 build in the escalator shaft for the Heathrow Express, the works were right next to the police office and officers would often watch the guys working from the window. During some wait time the lads started dancing on the temporary works stage, and to see them doing this in work boots was hilarious. What's more to see 20 or so coppers watching, laughing and applauding was even better.
I applauded the spirit of family, community, celebration. Its a beautiful site to see. Im Italian and these are the things we cherish most (other than food, wine and Jesus)
When I first started watching I was thinking, ‘how is this going to sound without their tap shoes’? This video proves beyond a doubt, you don’t need them!! I felt the same happiness as if I was watching a show! What an amazing group of people to be able to bring the same feelings as a production would bring! And even when the music stopped, it was still absolutely beautiful! Awesome job! Loved when even more people came out! The bride and groom dancing was adorable! I loved every second of this! Thank you for sharing! 🥰🥰🙏🙏
you never wear tap shoes for irish dancing, tap shoes are their own thing, they are used in tap dancing. They have a metal thing at the top that makes a sound. Irish dancing shoes are just plain leather pretty much, you can get them heavy or light and the sound comes from the heel not the front
To be honest, I am surprised and happy to know that folk dances are popular on holidays. In the Caucasus, where I live, folk dances at weddings are especially popular. I wish your family happiness, peace and love.

So much fun and energy! The reason the Irish dancer's don't move their arms is because it knocked down the candles, in the barn or in the houses and set the place on fire, long long ago. Some cultures learn from their mistakes to guide their young and some don't.
So much exuberance and talent on display in this video. Now that looks like it would have been a fun wedding to attend. My dad was a waist gunner on a B-17 stationed in England during WWII. He wouldn't talk to me about his experiences during the war, but he would talk endlessly about Ireland and how beautiful it was there and how friendly the people were to him. Then the adorable and absolutely gorgeous young lady in the short red dress hit the floor and I was mesmerized by her skillful dancing, her phenomenal physical condition, and her stunning beauty. All the dancers appeared to be in excellent condition.
