Why does watching this choke me up? Perhaps shocked and then happy to see this dance style still living out there somewhere. Some people have the courage to go where others have forgotten exist. You are all wonderful, thanks for the sentimental journey.
Maybe because like me, this was once your life but now it's part of your past? I remember these times so well. It chokes me up as well because I hate to see those times fade away for good. Joy and laughter to you.🎼🖤
@@sooz9433 You are a darling. Read another post you made. "The hardest thing for me is to watch this with the music turned up and feeling the energy but not being able to dance... this was my life almost every day as a teen". So you were one of those teens living in the moment, congrats. I'm smiling imaging you running here and there, care free and loving life. Were you in to the Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello era, before, later, Steppenwolf or when? It would complete the picture I have in my mind. I myself was in foster homes, a run away etc., was in the army at 17 joined in 1973 till 1983. Now that time in the army was the dance time for me. Discos in Panama City, Panama Canal Zone, Germany : American rock. Back in the states things were different, more of the bar dancing crowd it seemed, lol and I don't drink, but that's the crowd shooting pool and dancing to live bands. Now, nothing like that, I have to mind P's & Q's, cant afford to bust up my body. Your comments are really awesome, gave you a 1/100,000 of a second of your youth back. That's better than not going back. Last few years I tend to live in my past. Do construction (tile contractor) usually have a house to myself, cranking the ipod music from my past, sing, remanence, thoughts darting everywhere. Times when I bawl like a baby for a minute, missing my past. Remember David Cassidy (Partridge Family fame). When he died with his daughter by his side his last words I always remember were "So much wasted time". Guess its easy to judge ourselves now that the gig is nearing its end. But at the moment we lived for the moment. So hopefully you still find time to keep dropping in and finding old memories flirting back to the forefront and give your self the biggest grin knowing that when you were that young before life showed up, young enough to have danced yourself silly. Congrats honey, you lived a marvelous youthful life. Remember George Burns song "I wish I was 18 again". Listen to it here on You Tube, certain lyrics in it are real soul breakers. Bye Sooz cherish our days darling. "He said, I'll never again Turn the young ladies heads Or go running off into the wind I'm three quarters home From the start to the end And I wish I was eighteen again I wish I was eighteen again And going where I've never been But old folks and old oaks Standing tall just pretend I wish I was eighteen again Now time turns the pages And, oh, life goes so fast The years turn the Black hair all grey

Absolutely fab..Takes me back to the youth club in Manchester on a Friday Night in the 50s.
When these songs and dances were popular I was 7 years old..I sat on the edge of the school gym stage and watched my cousins and sisters dance this Jive..the 50's music and dances were the best
Deixava no volume máximo!!!
Fun fact, The MasterMixers are a duo that went on after their Jive Bunny days to create and run a massively popular Hard House label called Tidy Trax here in the UK. My old supervisor was best man at one of the duo's wedding and they've been friends since childhood. Back in the day he told me the record publisher bought this very song for £50, yet it went on to be Number 1 in the Uk charts for multiple weeks and must have made the publisher a fortune. When I called BS he bought in a photo from back then of my supervisor wearing the costume and holding the head (as was seen on Top of The Pops). They then went on to make vinyl mashups (a tonne of them 30+ volumes) and my supervisor did a few tracks on them, mostly of house records. Tidy Trax came about after that in the 90s and was sold in the mid 2000s but they rebought it about ten years ago. This Jive Bunny was the first ever album I bought (was on tape, I played it to death and know all the little bits by heart even now apparently) and I was about 8 y/o, so to find that out all that in my late twenties was mad. The first CDJ I owned came from their studio (the second guy producer name was "Bulletproof" and the first guy changed his name in his teens by law to be Amadeus Mozart!). Just thought I'd share for all those Jive lovers out there. Pretty sure this album back then told me I was born in totally the wrong era, I loved upbeat music esp from that period, the dancing and ladies in dresses, and would one day take up DJing which is essentially what Jive Bunny was, but a produced megamix of tunes as opposed to doing it live.

Wake up, little Suzie, wake up
We've both been sound asleep
Wake up little Suzie and weep
The movie's over it's four o'clock
And we're in trouble deep
Wake up little Suzie
Wake up little Suzie
We gotta go home
You ain't nothing but a hound dog
Cryin' all the time
You ain't nothing but a hound dog
Cryin' all the time
Well you ain't never caught a rabbit
And you ain't no friend of mine
Shake-shake-shake-shake, rattle and roll
I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake, rattle and roll
A-well-a bless my soul
What's wrong with me?
I'm itching like a man
On a fuzzy tree
My friends say I'm acting
Wild as a bug
I'm in love
I'm all shook up
The warden threw a party in the county jail
The prison band was there and they began to wail
The band was jumping and the joint began to swing
You should've heard them knocked out jailbirds sing
Let's rock, everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block was dancing to the Jailhouse Rock
A-ah-ah-ah
A-ah-ah-ah
A-ah-ah-ah
At the hop, hop, hop-hop-hop
Now this was rock and roll! I loved dancing to this!!! It was all FUN, and we’ve lost it!!!

All I can think of is fallout3 ...lmao. and learning to swing dance with my fiance 20 years ago for prom! Absolutely love this music...I'm 34 and my momma is 78 so. I grew up on the golden oldies! Before technology and computers and auto tune and whatever else to take away from talent!!! Much love everyone!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ stay curious and be kind always. .even if it seems impossible. Xoxoxo
Nobody dances like that anymore! GEEEZ! Look at the Energy !! and Beauty!!

Oh how I miss the good old day’s 🎉 hubby was a brilliant DJ & I was a brilliant dancer lol 😂❤️❤️
This is the greatest music they have made for dancing yet. Yes I am old and have seen and done most of it by now!
I would expect Nils and Bianca to be on this, and as marvelous as always, but MIGUEL ZOTTO? I've never seen him do anything but the tango and the milonga. Who knew he was as wonderful as this? What a delight it all was. Why oh why don't we still dance like this? We'd all be happier.
when dancing took class and skill. really good taste love watching it. thanks for the download
I love your dancing style, simple , beautiful and a little funky, dance out the touching tone of Bee Gees
Piękne utwory muzyczne i piękny taniec.!!!. BRAWO !!!.

That’s music with rhythm. Who can sit still ? So good mix 👍🏻
A fantastic time machine. My favorite types of music from the 1940s and 1950s.
The implementation of Elvis music is so amazing
Yo I am 65 and remember this. My father was born in Chicago in 1920. Mom was a West Virginian born in 1933. They loved this stuff! I still dance like this.
Simplesmente maravilhoso!!!
Época gloriosa os anos 50, 60 do rock dançante americano! ADORO! ❤️

Don't allow them to know what you like. Know their likes first and see if it aligns with you. Blessings to you 🙏
It was way before my time but I love this music. If I'm fortunate enough to get married one day, this will be on the playlist.
WOW - 🤩😍❤❤❤
They are all amazing ❣
GREAT - can feel the energy and joy only by watching it.
Podziwiamy talent , wykonawców, tancerzy, muzyków i filmowców ! Ja podziwiam ICH pracę!
Ile godzin, ile ćwiczeń, ile stresów, niedostatku, ile kłamstw, zazdrości i manipulacji?
Absolutely fab..Takes me back to the youth club in Manchester on a Friday Night in the 50s.
Never gets old watching and listening. Hit it again
Why can't I stop smiling when I'm watching this video? Are these dancers having that much fun?
You can dance and then.....You can DANCE . Thank's for it 🕺💃
When these songs and dances were popular I was 7 years old..I sat on the edge of the school gym stage and watched my cousins and sisters dance this Jive..the 50's music and dances were the best
Deixava no volume máximo!!!
Well if we ever thought we could swing our hips think on, great to see people truly enjoying selves,,and so many great movers,,ye,great videos,,jcvw

😊😂🎉
My hope is that this is still being danced somewhere, and that I will stumble upon them and join in 👍
My city has a pair of dance halls going every Wednesday and Thursday 😊 The exist, you just gotta look for them.
The drum and the bass is always a good combination for a real rock and roll..
Koszi Szilvia! ❤
Love your hungarian :) ♥ Nagyon szívesen :)

Du rock.
