My grandparents genes hailed from 7 different European countries and I was born in New Zealand but there's something about the drum & pipes that makes my blood fill with adrenaline and my hairs stand up. Sometimes not sure weather to shed a tear or get ready to go over the top with bayonets fixed when I hear them, every time.
This is not simply about a centuries-old tradition. This is about that tradition evolving into the new era. Look at the faces of all those true Scottish ladies. There are more than a few whose ancestors were born far, far away from the old Highlands, yet still, they dance proudly, and Scotland is proud of them.

My tartan is Wallace which comes from my dad’s side of the family. Most of the kilts that I wear are that tartan
