Just started playing SC2 for the first time three days ago, and I just wanna say the two Protoss B2GM series comprises 95% of SC2 content I’ve watched and I’m hovering on the border of Silver and Gold already :) I’ve been learning and enjoying so thank you. I’m excited to continue learning and seeing what the next part of my learning progression will be :)
@pigcoaching is it possible to go disrupt or archon in almost all matchups? Obviously make some changes if they somehow hard counter, but in mid plat and looking for a build to practice micro and multi tasking as toss. Was thinking disrupt/archon main force with zealot warp ins to multi task
I found the build didn't scale very well to GM and it's just better in masters to learn a more dynamic style unless turtling to super lategame is your jam. I think the style finishes out very nicely here so I won't be finishing it sry
Thank you for making this series. I’m starting to learn protos cuz why not using your bronze guide. 2 things, 1: the army slaps. Anything in front of it seems to die. 2: you are correct about people doing seemingly random things in silver. The most unique thing I have seen is drop Thor
I'm always eagerly waiting for the Protoss B2GM videos ! Thank you PiG ! ♥ I really enjoy these series even if I'm not getting Masters anytime soon :D Great information and knowledge sharing !
oh yes!!! thanks for doing this, have to say that I am not up at this level yet, but with practise it really seems attainable. however, Stormgate has been cutting into my SC2 time :P so awesome to have two rts to play :D
Many thanks for the guides! Have been casually playing SC2 for more than 10 years without actual improving, but the guides have helped a lot by now. Still in the gold league but have much more confidence by now, thanks to you! One serious problem I had was playing a mirror matchup against a turtle void-to-carrier toss. I tried to push with blink stalkers and archons + couple of immortals and zealots but got completely obliterated. Made some mistakes though - did not scout the stargates in time, did not retreat on battery overcharges or when the voids were heated up. Is it still possible to succeed with only gateway units against an air toss turtle when the void count is 10-15 ?
@pig Thank you for another amazing series! Here's an idea for the future, what if the next series is the same format, except instead of you playing, you pick a lucky subscriber or something that you coach live as they play?
Common suggestion but actually incredibly tedious to watch. What you don't see in B2GM is that all the stuff I teach in one episode will take dozens of hours of practice for someone else to internalise. So we'd just be watching someone repeat the same stuff over and over failing and failing until they finally internalise it and then move on to the next thing.
nope the build didn't scale that well to GM (became very slow, turtley and technical or needed very detailed micro intensive openings using things like phoenix so it didn't feel like it flowed naturally from the rest of the series).
Hello PiG! I have a question: why do we sort of wall off in PvT? can you explain the case of use of putting gates in the front with a wide gap in the middle?
2:03:56 "Our macro is a beat easier" while floating 2.8k. I think the message is less that Protoss macro is easier, and more that Protoss micro is more important which is why PiG chose to prioritize micro over hitting his warp-ins punctually. Of course if he was Terran he would have queued units and if he was Zerg he might have skipped injects to micro, but what makes Protoss macro so hard is that you cannot queue out of Warp Gate and you must look at your warp in pylon and take vision away from your army while macroing. That you so much for these videos PiG! You are so knowledgeable and I learn a lot every time you post one.
lol he literally stopped multiple times to explain to folks - this causes floating money :) what if you listened to him rather than trying to explain it. You might learn something
It's surprising that the zerg and terran b2gm series have way higher views, especially the early videos. Race distribution is fairly equalish, right? Protoss hates learning, confirmed
As great as pigs b2gm are its all about his game knowledge. u see how he adjusts on the fly to things he sees and knows. Love following the builds though and I love his b2gm bit I will never be as good can't make up for 20 yrs of knowledge.

Loving this series and so glad you kept it going! You are truly appreciated PiG and I hope this one makes it to the finish line
Thanks for continuing this!!!!!
Pig, please extend this series to the last episode: Master to GM!

Please don't learn Protoss for your sanity. I would recommend picking another race.
haha yep the joys of low level is just the crazy variety you play against
Thanks!
thnx so much for the support mate!
@@PiGCoaching thank you for coaching, you change my sc2!!!!

I like your style of gradually evolving into a better build. Thanks for still making tutorial videos in 2024. ❤
That zerg build in game 4 has hapend to me numeral times the last weeks, so Fluffy is right

Don’t let the void count get that night to begin with.
Man i love your videos ! Broodwar player here . And everything is crazy here
Nice format! Just came back to sc2 and useing your videos! What about the next steps? Master and GM with Protoss?!
12:38 Pig is drunk. They all take the same time lol. Still the right call though.
When’s the next installment coming?

is there a masters to GM video I'm missing? I'd like to watch it and it's in the b2gm doc
Can’t find it either
Are you gonna finish this one?

Hello PiG! I have a question: why do we sort of wall off in PvT? can you explain the case of use of putting gates in the front with a wide gap in the middle?
Watch bronze episode and you’ll get more then one question answered
You don't need to, but it is nice to be able to fully wall off in certain emergencies, especially if they're going fast hellions.
Great series. Trying this robo build with a lot of sucess. Some trouble in PvP if they go airtoss
mate.. where's new episode?
When the next episodes are cming out??
Can we get a segment on how to defend against 1 base Cyclone all in? It keeps slaughtering me in the first 3-4 mins, very frustrating.
Make a shield battery + nonstop stalkers and immortals + use battery overcharge when needed
Dot where's our Masters episode?!

Please I need coaching on how to nerf Protoss more.
