    You probably realized by now, but one of those shorter metal piece is not missing a plastic top, it is meant to stick your barbell in there for storage.

    Hey man, I got this setup and the trx bands after watching this vid, but I had trouble keeping balance. What tips do you recommend for counterbalance to make sure it’s solid outside of bolting. I saw you put your legs on the actual back of the rack, I did the same and it prevented it tipping for chest press, what else can I learn?

    Which tool do you recommend for this? I read that a 11/16 is fine, but I was thinking about an adjustable. I don't know much about tools, and I tried to assemble with only the tools in the box with no luck. Thank you for the video!

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  4 роки тому +1

      Sorry I missed this. I just used a socket wrench and the wrench that came with it. I'd have to check which socket size it was. You also just use another basic wrench to hold the other bold in place while you crank with their wrench but it will just take a little longer.

    • @hybridresistance

      Yes, you just have to weight it down with something on the back frame. I simply just set my dumbbells on top of it and I can do any TRX move.

    How tall are you? I noticed you had to bend your knees while doing the pull-ups and that's a pet peeve of mine. I am looking for a bar that is tall enough so I can just hang straight.

    Great video
    Just wanted to ask you, do you recommend having this for a tall guy (6'4 f - 193cm) ?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  4 роки тому +1

      I was thinking about your question as I was working yesterday on it. I'm 6 ft so based on what I was sizing up I think the biggest detriment for you would be for pullups. You would pretty much have to bend your knees. Otherwise, you could still bench, squat, and use the rack no problem for other things. Depending on how much weight your laying into for things like TRX stuff, you really would have to weigh it down / bolt it down. So basically it depend on what you're thinking about using it for. Hope that helps

      I still use it to this day and have recently been using it a lot on recent workouts with new weights. It's fine for what it is, but it can't handle stress pulling from the side say from TRX bands.

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  3 роки тому +1

      I do and have used them, just need to make sure it's weight down. Mine holds up good with two 45lb plates on the back holders, however there can be a slight give with enough band tension. Doing vertical pulls on the pull up bar also works really well.

      @@hybridresistanceI know this is an old video but was looking for comments about spotters for this rack. I see you have the ones I have been eying for a long time but never pulled the trigger on because the models they list don’t match my rack and I wanted to make sure hey fit this old model. Also I think the model I have the FM-CS705 is the same rack as the 90Q they have listed but I got mine from Walmart so I imagine they give them different model numbers.
