      Yeah, well it is unfortunately fake, or at lease over sold. If you jump to 24:38, you will see a sticker saying its from 2003, which is 19 years ago. Usually computers sit on shelves for several months, especially if it is a lower powered, budget pc option, so that means this guy owned it for 18 years. Whole video feels faked to me

    Excellent job! This is a Tualatin platform with a Celeron processor.
    These Tualatin were better than the first P-4 for same or superior frequency. My 1400-S works like a P-4 2200, being cooler and more power efficient.

    • @JeffDeWitt
      @JeffDeWitt Рік тому +2

      Which ones? That was something I looked for too. There were two large capacitors, and one of them looked funny, my first thought was that it had blown. But that was actually a plastic shield or something. From what I could see the capacitators in both the power supply and motherboard looked fine. I was working for IBM during the capacitor plague, and I've seen a LOT of plagued capacitors... even wrote a work instruction telling the people on the line what to look for.

    From the sickly orange tinge on the case and the clumpy dust inside the machine, it looks more like this computer was used in a heavy smoking environment, like a pachinko parlor or something. Greasy kitchen computers generally have grease everywhere, including inside the case. The smoke from the grill and fryers has a ton of grease in it, and it will form a layer of grease on anything it touches.
    I've cleaned both, and they're both horrible to clean. Smoker machines are nasty because all of that cigarette tar is toxic if you get it on your skin, and you need to use some pretty heavy solvents to remove it. Just washing with soap won't get it all.
    Greasy machines are nasty because it's basically impossible to remove all of the grease without using something to turn the grease into soap, like potassium hydroxide or sodium hypochlorite (bleach). Problem with these is they're corrosive and will damage computer parts.

    Вряд ли этому компу 20 лет, оперативная память для того времени большая. скорее всего это один из офисных ПК периода 2005-2009. CD-ROM вообще 2003 года. а начало выпуска этих моделей началась с 2002 года, даже учитывая, что в ней могли периодически заменять узлы (по состоянию на начало видео это сомнительно), то ПК этот не позднее 2004-2005 годов.
