Awesome clip! My late uncle turned me on to Social Distortion about 15 years ago. Love their sound. Kind of like rockabilly meets punk. Mike almost resembles a younger Mickey Rourke here. Had to google Mike’s age. Dude is 58 now! Wow.

    3 Chords and the truth.
    6 LPs and a T-shirt:
    1 - KC And the Sunshine Band "Self-Titled" 1978
2 - Unsure which Billy Joel LP this is
    3 - Earth, Wind & Fire "I Am" 1979
    4 - The Doobie Brothers "Stampede" 1975
5 - Elton John "Madman Across the Water" 1971
6 - Peter Frampton "Frampton Comes Alive" 1975 (Second appearance of this Record)
Adam is showing off a Foreigner 4 shirt. Oh that we all could be so cool.
    GGGWY!

Another great video! Just two questions. What about the Femmes? Will we see an episode about them?

I worked in a record store in the 90's. Always had Social Distortion and Reverend Horton
Heat playing. No one else got it.

I met Mike back in 97 when they played the Live 105 BFD festival. Very cool dude! Got my CD signed. I would love to meet and chat with him again. Also in that bill was the headliner of all headliners - The Cure

Fucking hell, the choice of his parents tastes in music is IDENTICAL to my own. I also turned to punk music as a teen, but to me Cash, Nelson, Haggard, Reeves etc. ALL had the basics of the punk outlook on life years before Rock 'n' Roll took notice. Just like Punk, Outlaw Country wasn't originally meant as a flattering term in some circles of society at the time.

My friends' band in high school covered Mommy's Little Monster...no idea what the song was, who the band was but I knew I loved it...then discovered the "Social Distortion" album a year later. You sat down with Mike Ness. Awesome.
