Yes, Barbara - I love the digitalcollage club designs but yours are amazing. Hard to choose where to spend my money. Love, love, love your designs. Love this little journal in this video.
I just love you! You are inspiring, kind, funny, fun, and so brave. In spending time with you I feel more brave. I appreciate you so much. Thank you for being You!!! ❤️
The kintsugi technique and your thoughts connecting it with our life stories was very appreciated. Your kind spirit shines thru all your videos. Thank you for inspiring us on many levels.
This looks great, so very grungy! We have an old cookie jar that was broken and my husband's Grandmother glued together using tar. It was what they had that would hold, we cherish it even with the black seam where it was broken. It is a symbol of the struggles and perseverance the had during the depression, as well as the memories my husband has of them.
Hi Barbara, I've been watching you from 2019, and I just knew you were going to be a big success! I don't comment much but I just want to thank you for all your hard work and inspiring me to create my own journals. I have enjoyed every single one of your videos. ❤ 🌻
Same! I went and bought gilding wax after watching this video 😁 It's been on my wishlist since the first time I saw Barbara use it. Since I'm actually doing this project I decided this was the perfect time to finally get it 🤓
Your videos have become my favorite "hanging out" place while working on a project. I find your voice quite peaceful as my background "music," and I appreciate the way you think out loud as you are going through various decisions on your art. This has helped me to learn so much about composition, use of materials, and which media work well together. You are a gem!
Lovely, Barbara. I totally love the Kintsugi papers. For a long time, I've felt that our histories make us into the people we become. Our scars are the unique roadmap of our lives. You have such a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing!!
Wow! What a fun video making this awesome grungy envelope journal. I loved learning about Suntsugi. I have not heard of this. I certainly have not seen anyone apply it to ephemera making. The gold accents are just so perfectly balanced with the grungy tone of the journal. This is certainly a favorite of mine. The vintage flower cards match so well. Great job, Barbara!!😍
I joined the Digital Collage Club at your recommendation and love it, so many images to choose from. This grungy journal is a fab way to use up envelopes. TFS xx
Love this so much. As soon as I’m done making cards for Mother’s Day I’ll be starting this. I’m so excited, what wonderful gifts these would make. And I love the digitals, I cannot express enough how wonderful The digital collage club is! And the Kintsugi technique really set off those cards. And you’re so right , we are all broken in one way or another, just like pottery we have the scars to prove it ❤️.
Sehr sehr schön und diese kentsuki Technik gefällt mir,ich werde das auch mal mit anderen Farben ausser Gold ausprobieren. Dankeschön fürs zeigen. Du bist einfach eine Künstlerin
This is beautiful. I love the idea behind kintsugi, our flaws are the things that make is unique and are part of our story. Thank you for such a lovely and inspiring video Barbara x
I cannot wait to finish this project; my very first journal since finding junk journaling and the one video that wasn't intimidating to me as a newbie 😏 I actually found junk journals through you. I was searching for craft studio organization and came aross your first "are you overwhelmed" declutter video recently. There was (and still is) something so genuine and sincere that came through that first video of yours that I watched that made me watch more videos that I had no real interest in. I subscribed and binge watched your videos. There are so many nuggets of wisdom and experience that you share that rather than just watch the videos, I decided to try something far outside of my comfort zone. Thank you for that. I was in a deep creative rut and bored with crafting. I am so excited to be in my crafting space again 💕
OMG that makes me so happy! Welcome to the jinn journal family! It’s an awesome place to hang out with an amazing community! Enjoy your exciting journey! 😃❤️
@@carolinaljungquist7975 Good luck on your journey! 🤓 I almost missed this adventure since I get hives just thinking about the word "journal" because I hate to write. However, junk journals can be completed without ever writing one word in them. For me it's about the process, not the end result of putting pen to paper.
I became a Digital Collage Club member a couple years ago or a little less and I have used it SO much!! I LOVE it!! If anyone hasn’t joined yet it would behoove you to do so, there are thousands of things to print as well as videos to learn from. ❤️🥰❤️
What a pretty grungy little journal folio! I love it! And thanks for reminding me of the Kintsugi style, I knew about it, but never thought of incorporating it into a journal, so thanks for your inspiration. I always look forward to your tutorials. Best wishes from Tucson, Arizona, USA ❤️
Awesome, I love the new "Japanese" technique and the papers you have used are fantastic, I must join the club. Thank you for another wonderful video, you are my journaling guru lol xxxx
Oh, what a lovely introduction to this historic pottery technique, Miss Barbara! This little folder is gorgeous. Kintsugi. Taking a broken thing and adding precious metal to it to transform it into a unique piece to continue using, inspiring, and treasuring! ❤️
I love it so much, its absolutely GORGEOUS ❤️ I have been aware of Kintsugi for a while and also appreciate the theory behind it so much. It’s such a beautiful way of thinking about “flaws”
Beautiful grunge look. And how cool is that Kintsugi!!!! How exciting. Cannot wait to try it. Love your calm voice and specifics instructions, Barbara. Be safe and joyful journaling! 🌹
This is just a stunning little journal, Barbra! So beautiful! I really loved your little bit of philosophy at that end and I feel the same ❤️ I love how you incorporated a technique for pottery making into your journal! That is so creative and beautiful ❤️
We bought an ecotank color printer today!!! I've already been using black and white words, but now I am loving the colors!!! Thank you for introducing me to the club. Those flowers are AMAZING!!
I also love how this little journal came out! I am working on one now, so will get my signatures figured out as well as my pockets and such. I will share on Instagram. ❤️🥰
This was so fun. I feel like you stepped up your game with these amazing bright flowers. I love them. And the crinkling distressing you did reminds me of the one you did where you sprayed water on the packing paper and glued it down all crinkled and yummy! This Kintsugi method is amazing in a Junk Journal. I never thought of doing that. But the Gold just works so good in our Journals. Can’t wait to do this!! Thanks for sharing!
Helllo Barbara, FABULOUS, I think I am going to try and make one for my hubbies special Birthday. (Wish me luck!!!!) Thank you, again for the wonderful way in which you explain your process, you make it very clear and I think confidence to try it ourselves. Once again, as always, Blessings and hugs from Cape Town. Diana
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I love how you how you do your journals. I am new to this and I love to do it. I’m going to join the Digital Club. I’m looking forward to making new and different journals. Thank you for what you do! Blessings…
I would highly recommend you treat yourself to the Tim Holtz mini guillotine. I’ve had mine for 8 years and it still cuts beautifully. I also have the torn edge one too. 😊
Such a lovely journal! 🤩 I have started one myself following your instructions ☺️ I recently heard of Kintsugi and used the technique to mend a lampshade that broke when I accidentally tiped it over when vacuum cleaning. This looks lovely!! I really like how it has all sorts of little (and bigger) pockets and tucks - making it fun to explore!
I really like the kintsugi, both as a practice and the concept of repairing what is broken.
Sehr sehr schön und diese kentsuki Technik gefällt mir,ich werde das auch mal mit anderen Farben ausser Gold ausprobieren. Dankeschön fürs zeigen. Du bist einfach eine Künstlerin
Love the grunge. Looks amazing and I love how quick (compared to a hard cover journal) it comes together.
I love kintsugi too! How beauty can emerge from brokenness!
This turned out wonderfully.
